Sunny Daze is a charming and spacious two-bedroom ground-level Tybee cottage, originally built in 1950, offering a great vacation experience inside and out. Spacious and updated, everyone will feel right at home - even your pets! Outdoor amenities include a fantastic stone paver landscaped backyard with seating, an outdoor fire pit, and a gas grill.

The lovely interior includes a fully equipped kitchen with a dishwasher. The living area offers a sleeper sofa for extra space and a flat-screen TV. The sun porch, next to the living room, is perfect for relaxing or curling up with a good book after a sunny day at the beach. There is also an enclosed porch which makes a great additional space for guests to enjoy the cool Tybee nights.

Located on a large corner lot in Tybee Island's quiet Back River neighborhood - about a 1/2 mile, 9-minute walk to the main beach, shops, and restaurants. Stroll along beautiful Venetian Drive, one of Tybee's prettiest streets, and just steps from the cottage. Perfect location to view gorgeous Tybee sunsets over the marsh. The home is also a great option for kayakers as there is room to park the trailer, and you are only a few short blocks away from the best kayak launch on the island!

The two bedrooms share a bathroom accessible from the hall and offer a tub and shower combination. The main bedroom is furnished with a King size bed, and the guest bedroom has two Twin beds. There is a full-size washer and dryer located in the detached garage.

Sunny Daze is pet-friendly and has a large fenced yard. The cottage also includes complimentary WIFI for guest use. Parking for 3.

Property was in a great location to all the fun activities for Priate Festival. Was a great house to relax at and not feel like we were on top of each other. Kitchen had a great selection of pans and beds were so comfortable. Lots of great views and such a quiet neighborhood.

Lovely relaxing space

There was great clear communication from the manager of the house for check in. The kitchen was spacious, nice variety of spaces to relax and things. Loved the outside space. Nice for entertaining. There was some leftover beach supplies in decent condition which was helpful. I included some photos of activities we did in the area too.

We’ve been to Tybee many times and this was our first time staying closer to the back river. We loved it. House is full of charm and comfy furnishings.

Peaceful and Spacious

This home has many rooms to enjoy. It is an easy walk to the beach as well as several great spots to grab a bite nearby. We loved this peaceful retreat!

Cute house!

Beds were comfy. Plenty of linens and towels. Bathroom sink needs longer spout for water. And the bathroom sink was clogged and slow draining. But everything else was great!

Nice house

The decor and style were lovely. The backyard concept was nice. The beds were comfortable. However, the house seemed more than a little run down overall and could have been cleaned more thoroughly. It smelled a little musty, there was some trash in the backyard, and we had trouble figuring out all of the exterior light switches. It was a nice house, but could have been kept up better.

Nice enough place. clean but yet someow not clean at same time. Could tell it was just sprayed for bugs but still had to kill a huge cockroach. no type of cleaning supplies at all not even a broom. need some more blankets and maybe freshen up better sheets. outside is overgrown and just scary....lol

The property was very clean on the inside, however, the patio area needed some attention.

You need to upgrade the bedroom furniture the mattress in the Master bedroom is terrible,!!!!!! Also, there are no electrical outlets in the bedroom with the twin beds, the lamp was not even plugged in?????????

Tybee Stay

Quaint beach cottage located in a safe and quiet neighborhood, convenient location to beach. Management company response and care was excellent! Issues with clogged sink that were resolved but took 2 maintenance trips. Highly recommend that the beds and bedding be replaced. -very very old as one can feel the springs, at this price point it was disappointing. If you plan to eat in, kitchen was under stocked-no foil, baggies, tissues, napkins, 1 kitchen towel, etc.

Perfect Beach Vacation house for a small group. Pet Friendly! And conveniently located in the middle of the island. Would definitely consider re-booking this home!

Well appointed, updated mid-century beach cottage.

I would rent this cottage again. Comfortable, updated beach town cottage. It is about six blocks from the mid beach, though beach easily accessed from 12th or 13th street. Quiet neighborhood. Enjoyed the sunny breakfast porch. The fenced patio/yard was perfect for our deaf/blind dog. We did not use the fire-pit or grill. The location was perfect for exploring both ends of the island. The only drawback was the “springy” mattress. The twins beds were more comfortable. The queen mattress needs to be replaced. The rental company was superb. I would rent this cottage again.

Below Average for a Vacation

My wife and I stayed at Sunny Daze and overall it was not great. I’ll start with the bad…. communication with the property manager was confusing at times. There were at least 5 palmetto bugs (aka cockroaches) we had to kill during our stay, which also isn’t a comforting thought when you go to sleep at night or prep food in the kitchen. The queen bed here is downright terrible (as are the pillows). The back porch area was filthy and covered in fire ant mounds which made it basically unusable. Finally, if we tried to run water in the bathroom sink for more than about a minute it would get backed up into the basin. Sunny Daze is fine if you are looking for a quiet location and a roof over your head. Otherwise, I’d go elsewhere.

Fabulous

The bungalow was lovely, beautifully decorated and not far from the beach (5 minute drive or less). Gorgeous backyard and comfy beds. We loved the sun room and decor. I can’t say enough about VRBO. They communicated via email and text so everything was very clear. We had a small problem and they came to fix it in less than 1/2 hour after we called. We loved everything. Property is perfect for couples or a family with 2 kids Very pet friendly and the location was very quiet.

Excellent getaway!

We were very pleased with the cottage and its location. It was very convenient to beach access and all that Tybee has to offer. The neighborhood was calm and quiet. The home was comfortable, nicely decorated, and offered everything we needed during our stay. Lots of memories made!

Late summer getaway to Tybee

This was my first visit to Tybee Island and we will definitely be back. We loved Sunny Daze, it was perfect for us and just as wonderful as it appears to be. The backyard was actually completely fenced in which was a pleasant surprise. The check in and check out process was effortless, the neighborhood was quiet and every person we encountered was friendly.

Charming house, perfect location

Bright and sunny house (lots of windows). Nice, updated, well equipped kitchen. Large, fenced in back yard with entertaining areas. Quiet neighborhood. Rent bikes and you’ll get to both the beach and river with ease. The dining room/sunroom was a great place to watch the a dramatic storm during our visit. The bathroom isn’t updated but it’s functional. It didn’t say it in the listing, but there were some beach chairs and toys available in the garage too. It was hard to leave. I suspect we’ll be back again.

TYBEE IS ALL IT'S CRACKED UP TO BE!!!

Lovingly decorated that made it feel like "home" instead of just a house! I, personally, have zero complaints or negatives about this property but should mention a few things for those of you who may find these things a big deal... The mattresses are not luxurious. However, even with my rheumatoid arthritis and array of other musculoskeletal issues, I slept well and woke feeling just fine! The other is that there was not a single pantry item; not even salt & pepper. There were no laundry supplies either. All other homes we've stayed in, had a vast amount of these things so it was a bit of a surprise. But, we managed perfectly. The garage had a variety of beach items which spared us the expense of such. No beach towels but we don't use them anyhow. The landscaping is pretty rugged so if you're expecting a lush, green, manicured lawn... Well, don't. It's beachy with lots of tropical plants and sand all around. The fire pit was great for sitting around at night! Our only hiccup was the bathroom plumbing which was quickly taken care of and zero problems thereafter. Tybee Vacation Rentals was amazing to do business with. Super friendly and courteous as was every other shop/restaurant owner/employee!!! All-in-all... It was a remarkable vacation! We LOVED the home! We LOVED the island! We LOVED romping around in the golf cart! We LOVED staying at the South End! We LOVED the people! We LOVED the beaches! We LOVED the dolphins! We WILL RETURN!!!

We LOVED our time at Sunny Daze! The house was exactly what we’d hoped for. Most of our days there were spent together as a family, visiting in the sunroom. The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful! It’s close enough to the beach to walk, yet far enough away from the main areas to offer privacy. If we visit Tybee again, we will definitely stay here!!
