Located just perfect, close to everything, Jordaan (nicest and most cozy quarter in Amsterdam), communications and downtown. Room was tiny but clean and the bed was really nice, quiet street, so we slept with the windows open, not a problem at all. Got fabulous breakfast included, which was a surprise, served at a café nearby, perfect start on every day! Easy communication and super smooth check-in. Thanks Isabelle!

We really enjoyed our stay at Mercedes Bed and Breakfast. Our room was small but very cozy and perfect for our 4 nights in Amsterdam. The location was perfect for all we wanted to do and Isabel was very approachable and helpful, answering any questions we had. We loved Amsterdam and when we return we would hope to stay at Mercedes BnB again.

Cozy room with a great location! Hosts were friendly and more than accommodating. We arrived early in the morning and were able to leave our luggage and explore this wonderful city before check-in. Walking (or biking) distance to shops, cafes, parks, museums, bars… everything! Highly recommend and would stay here again!

Beautiful clean room, very comfortable bed. Room is small, but great location and just what we needed. Lots of amenities like cold water, coffee, tea, soap, etc. breakfast was good and great coffee. It was a bit difficult to get luggage up and down the stairs, probably not a great stay for those with mobility issues. Host communication was excellent. We were there in a heatwave, so room was warm but I think that’s probably not typical. There was a fan to circulate cool air from outside at night.

Very nice hosts and a very nice location

We spent our last five nights at MercedesB&B. The location was really handy to many attractions in Amsterdam. Isobel was very helpful, and with just a mention she had already ordered our ride to the airport five days later, at no cost to us. Breakfast was included at a lovely restaurant/coffee shop about one block away. Both she and her husband were a wealth of information. I hope we have this same luck getting accommodation when travelling to other destinations.

Zimmer mit Bad bietet alles was man braucht. Das Frühstück im naheliegenden Cafe war super-lecker. Zusammengefasst: Besser hätte unser Urlaub nicht sein können!

Would give it 6 stars if I could

I stayed here for 10 days and it was just what I wanted — plus the landlady is the kindest, sweetest person ever! She cheerfully helped me wrestle my heavy suitcase down the stairs and deal with the King’s Day crowds. A truly gracious and kindhearted host!! The apartment was spotless with a very comfy bed and the bathroom was also spotless and fully modernized. Perfect location on in the northern edge of the Jordaan district — about 20 feet from one of the canals and near stores of all kinds, from small supermarkets and bakeries to good restaurants and art galleries. (As with most houses in Amsterdam, be prepared for a steep flight of stairs - if you have mobility issues, stay in a hotel with an elevator.) There’s a reason this place gets booked up: it’s the perfect retreat in the heart of Amsterdam!
