Located in the downtown area of the charming and historic town of Chappell Hill you can enjoy shopping and dining by walking a very short distance or making a short drive into Brenham. Your stay includes coffee, juice, and muffins. Kitchen is stocked for cooking your own meals and includes a washer and dryer. This is a great place to stay for couples or a get away with girlfriends. It’s also a great area if you like fall festivals and antique shows.

Absolutely precious and cozy place to stay! We will definitely be back!! Conveniently located not far from the hwy, very accessible, and close to good dining. The Sunshine Cottage was the perfect choice for visiting Chappell Hill and Brenham. Also, the host is on top of her game and has an incredible attention to detail!!!

Cottage is super cozy and in center of downtown. It is so peaceful away from all the hustle and bustle of a busy life. Cottage has everything you need all you have to do is bring your clothes. The host Mrs Susie is the sweetest lady and she really takes pride in making sure you are well taken care of. We stay there twice a year and just love it.

Sue Cobb was delightful and very accommodating. The best hostess of any! The huge back porch was very peaceful and pleasant to sit and have morning coffee. We cooked out one evening and ate at the table on the porch. Sue had extra snacks for us and was available for any needs we had. We diffidently will stay again.

This sweet cottage is even better in person! So charming, comfortable, and aesthetically beautiful. Growing up a country girl in the blue grass of Kentucky makes Chappell Hill a natural fit for me. I've lived all over Texas most of my adult life, but now I am finally home.

Why they chose this property

My family farm has always stayed in my heart. I knew some day I could find a place that reminded me of home, and I did when I found our main house with this cottage. I loved the floors and the ship lap walls even though my husband could only see the work involved. Now he loves our little farmhouse and cottage. My dream is to share it with others.

What makes this property unique

Chappell Hill is the most quaint little town between Houston and Austin. In less than five minutes you can walk from the cottage to town.
