Book your next beach vacation at the Cozy Cottage in Mainsail!

Everything you want for the perfect vacation is here at the Cozy Cottage. This is a four bedroom, two and a half bath cottage with 1750 square feet of living space. Never look for a parking place since there is a driveway and carport in front of this beautiful beach cottage that can handle up to 3 vehicles.

Our cottage offers a spacious, well equipped kitchen with all the comforts of home. The main floor has a living room with separate dining room as well as the Master bedroom with King size bed and en suite, a powder room (half bath) and laundry area to include a washer & dryer. The master bath has double vanity sinks and a large tiled, walk in shower. There are two walk out exits to the back yard which boasts an expanded paver patio with additional dining and outdoor seating options to enjoy during your stay. The upper level of the cottage has 3 bedrooms, one with queen bed, one with King bed, and one with two twin beds. The back queen bedroom has a private balcony overlooking the back yard and North pool. There is also a full bath located on this level.

The Cozy Cottage is located inside the private, gated Mainsail community with 24 hour security. Our cottage is just steps away from the private beach. Beach service is available to purchase from the beach attendant and there are also two beach chairs and a wagon in the cottage as well as some beach toys for the kiddos. The North pool is located just outside your back patio door to enjoy until 10 pm each night and the water is warm! Other amenities include tennis and pickleball courts, shuffleboard, hot tub and a second pool between the high rises, fitness room with equipment, arcade, grills, etc. And in the event of rain, the cottage is equipped with several TV's & DVD players and/or board/card games for your family enjoyment. The outlet mall, restaurants, grocery stores, etc., are within walking distance of Mainsail.

We love Destin and our beach is as good as it gets! The sand is white & soft, and our sunsets are beautiful! We look forward to sharing our beautiful cottage with you and your family so you can make memories here. Afterall, Memories made at the beach last a lifetime!

Mainsail Cottage 36

Rick and Shari have a beautiful home! It was perfect for our family vacation. It was very clean and had everything we needed for our stay. The pool we used was an extremely short walk. The walk to the beach is about a 3 minute walk. I highly recommend staying at this property!

Great location for family

Short walk to beach, 2 pools for when the kids get tired of the ocean. Felt very comfortable there with our young kids coming and going to the beach, pool, and house.

This house is an absolute gem! Perfect location to the heated pool and beach. Many restaurants and lots of shopping also conveniently located. The most beautiful sunsets that we have ever seen. Over all it’s just a little piece of heaven.

Great house with amenities

We had a great stay in this house in Mainsail community. Having the pool nearby and a safe place to let our small kids ride their bikes was very nice. The house has plenty of space and was stocked with all things necessary for a comfortable vacation. Thanks!

Perfect getaway!!

The cottage is exactly as described! It’s beautifully decorated and clean! A quick 3-5 min walk to the beach! It’s very close to the Winn Dixie and several restaurants. Great time!

We loved our stay on this property! Easy access to the beach and a pool basically in the “backyard”. The paved path to the beach was short enough for our preschoolers to walk and the umbrella and chairs provided were a huge bonus. We could easily drive to Destin and 30A for additional entertainment. Will be back!

Best vacation venue in Florida!!

This place was AWESOME!! It is the best we have stayed in in over 25 years of vacationing in the Florida area!! The cottage was beautifully decorated, very clean and supplied everything we needed to stay comfortably. The large outdoor patio was great to relax on or serve a meal and the pool and the beach are not far from the there. It did rain one day we were there and we found shopping, movie theater and other great activities to be very close by. Again Thank you very much for providing us such an AWESOME place to vacation. We will be back!!

Great week for 2 families!

Home was well stocked including beach towels and toyS and the kitchen. The property manager was very helpful. The only negative is we were not able to adjust the thermostat and it was too warm for our liking. Otherwise, it was perfect! We will be back!!!

Good location, adequate property

This cottage is situated in a very crowded vacation area but only a 4-5 minute walk to the beach. The house is comfortable with a layout conducive to family gatherings. The "bedroom" with a bed and a trundle bed worked for our two kids, but I'm surprised the owner is able to call this a 4th bedroom as it is essentially a large closet without windows. The master bedroom/bath is very nice. A few areas for improvement--there was no hair dryer on the premises, which seemed like an oversight. Toilet paper and paper towels were not stocked for 8 people. The pillow shams and coverlets/quilts are not washed between stays. There are detailed instructions on all the cleaning the renters must do before the professional cleaning crew comes in--including washing and drying beach towels ("Make sure you wash them on Friday so they're dry on Saturday"), running the dishwasher ("if they won't all fit in one load, start them on Friday"), sweeping and vaccuming the entire premises, wiping down all counters and the refrigerator. We would expect to pick up after ourselves but were a bit put off with all the chores listed. Also, it doesn't seem like there was so much left for the cleaning crew that check out is 10 AM but check in is not possible until 4 PM. The pools on the property are nice, and there is one just outside the patio doors. However, the closer one closed in the late afternoons/early evenings in a way that was not explained by staff and seemed very arbitrary. (We finally found out that there was a problem with the pool light.) The problem here was communication of property staff not giving reasons for kicking us out. We could not get the gas grills near the pools to ignite. Overall, we enjoyed the area, but would probably look for a comparable property if we return.

Thank you for staying at our cottage. Yes, summer is a very busy time in Destin as it is a very popular spot for families to vacation and many families return year after year. Appreciate your suggestion regarding the blow dryer, maybe a wall mounted dryer will not walk off like one in a drawer and we will give that a try. As noted in your lease agreement, we do not supply paper products for the week, just an initial supply to get you started. We apologize if that wasn’t clear to you or you forgot that this was in your arrival information. As for the tasks to complete on departure day, we find that there is a very high number of rentals that also have a Saturday check out day so if some basic expectations are not required of renters, the cleaning teams in the area cannot keep up. If routine housekeeping is done throughout the week, however, it should not be an overwhelming task the morning of departure. Also, beach towels are there as a courtesy in case you forget to bring yours. Some people appreciate them but you certainly do not need to use them if you don’t want to wash them prior to your departure. We will check into what management is doing to resolve any outstanding issues with the grills. Thank you again for staying at our Cozy Cottage!

Really Perfect In Many Ways

A beautiful, comfortable property that was well designed, decorated, and accommodating for our family. Loved the decor, appliances and the kitchen with every needed tool, dish and pan. Best of all our beach stays anywhere regarding our needs. Upstairs 3 rooms for our daughter, husband, and 3 little ones. Wonderful Master Suite off the patio for us Grandparents, who were happy with no stairs to negotiate. The upstairs crew loved their separate space for naps and bedtime. Walk to the Gulf beach, return for pool time steps from the cottage, lunch on the patio or pool’s tables, then naps for the children. Close to many things.

Wonderful Beach Vacation

We love staying At the Mainsail especially in this property which is why we return every year. They have thought of everything, the cottage is beautifully decorated, fully stocked which everything you could need for meal preparation, the back patio is so nice- I cannot say enoughgood things. Our son was stationed at Hurlburt Field at the time, plus we had visited the area many times due to friends having places at Mainsail, and fell in love with the complex and its beautiful beach.
