'Beautiful Waterfront Gateway', is nestled in the foothills of the Adirondacks.This picturesque retreat is what we fondly consider our piece of paradise. A beautiful two bedroom rustic cabin getaway with all the amenities of home and so much more. Access to a private beach for daily sun and nightly bonfire fun. Sit by the water or snuggle in and read your favorite author or just create your new memory at a moments notice. This locale is surrounded by 4 prominent Universities and we welcome professionals and students alike.Please note there is a #25 dollar a night dog fee per dog that will be due upon arrival. This fee is not included in this quote.

The hosts were great and very responsive. The lake is beautiful. We thought the cabin would be a bit more on its own. But the neighborhood is quiet and safe. Driveway is a bit steep, but lovely place. Steps away from the lake and a nice backyard. Cabin is Very clean and well stocked. Would recommend.

Fantastic Stay!

We are frequesnt VRBO guests. This location was a perfect and much needed getaway. Beautiful cabin, spotlessly clean, well stocked with everything you need and more. The yard led right to the water and our dog loved all the room.and made friends with the owners puppy. Quiet neighborhood, beautiful gazebo on the lake, great firepit and the view from the deck was so relaxing. The hosts were so friendly and accomidating which made our stay even more pleasurable. We would go back in a minute. Thank you so much for your hospitality!

Cozy cabin

The place was a nice cozy little cabin. The place was peaceful and quite. We were the loudest in the area with our two young boys. The outside/flower beds could use some weed wacking and/or de-weeding as it was beginning to get over-grown. Our two dogs had a good time and the owner even went out of her way to try and help when our dog had an emergency. But fyi, the Vets in the area were not good at all. But overall, everyone was pleasant to get along with and helpful.

Relaxing

We had a nice time! You can not see the cabin from the road. The cabin is in back of the owners house. It kinda sits up against the back of their house. The driveway is hard to get out of. When trying to pull out there is a blind spot because of other vehicles parked up by the road blocking your view. We almost got hit pulling out. The cabin has fans to use and ceiling fans in the bedrooms. They do have a AC floor unit that you can use. Just make sure you hook it up correctly so that it's not blowing the hot air into the cabin. They have everything in the cabin that you might need. There is NO washer/dryer. I did not notice that until a few days before we arrived. There is a little note under Heating that their is a laundry mat up the road. They do have a dock which was great for fishing. Our kiddos love to fish and they were able to catch quite a few fish. Make sure to bring water shoes or something to wear in the water. There are lots of muscles and rocks. I am glad we brought the kiddos water shoes. We had no problem checking in or out. It was very easy. We were able to bring our pup with us which was nice.

The pics do not do this property justice. It is absolutely adorable. We had a couple of small hiccups, but the owners were super responsive. It was nothing that would make me take away a star! Our only complaint is that we live 3.5 hours away and wont be able to come back as often as we'd like to. We got some great local tips from the owner and really enjoyed the farmers market in Potsdam. We love the wine at Bregg Winery in nearby Norfolk. We had a fabulous anniversary dinner at The Lobster House around the corner.This area is so serene and peaceful. Everywhere we went, we were treated like old friends. Sadly the weather wasn't super cooperative with hiking and getting out on the lake until today. However, we are very grateful that the owners are allowing a late checkout so we can enjoy the sun that finally decided to show up! All in all in was a great way to celebrate our 10th anniversary and was a much needed relaxing getaway!

Most beautiful property on the lake!

The pictures of this property and cabin do not do it justice. We got there and immediately it felt like a home away from home. It’s a great spot to fish off the dock, or you can hang in the screened in cabana. We will absolutely be back!

Fantastic Place

Fantastic property and the owners are welcoming and laid back. My Son and I had a great time. Conor (6 years old) caught a fish and was able to swim in the lake with his dog. We played catch, did smores around the camp fire, etc. The property is as listed - updated, maintained, and fully stocked with everything you need. We have been going to a different place every year, but we may have found our permanent vacation spot.

Weekend getaway

My best friend and I booked a stay here for a weekend and had so much fun! Right on the water, provided kayaks, canoes and more. Very clean. Would definitively recommend to anyone!

Perfect in Every Way

Lovely cabin right on the a Raquett River. Right up the road from a little market and around the corner from a convenience store. 1.5 miles from the Lobster House where we had a great meal and wonderful service. Their extensive menu had something for everyone. 10 minutes from Potsdam so it was a perfect location for seeing our sons. Nice porch for relaxing and enjoying the view of the water, comfortable living room with plenty of space and extremely comfortable beds. We will definitely be back!
