The four of us had a fabulous time in FLX attending a friend's wedding, taking lovely hikes, and enjoying great food. The house was the perfect place to relax and regroup. It was clean, spacious, and easy. My new happy place is the deck, overlooking the lake with a cup of coffee.
We were a here a couple of years ago and we loved it so much that we came back a second time. We love the location. It’s close to many wineries and breweries and close to town. It’s also quiet, which is what we look for when we vacation. The views of the lake are amazing and only a short walk away. We’ll be coming back again soon!!
Absolutely loved the view of Senaca lake! The sunrises and sunsets were absolutely stunning! Enjoyed the cool evenings on the deck with the view of the water. We would definitely stay here again, if we travel to this area. We drove up from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Beautiful property with amazing views. The house was spotless and airy when we arrived. The lights and air were on and made the place welcoming. The beds are comfortable and the linens are in excellent condition. That living room is to die for with all those windows and we spent a lot of time together in that space. We made lots of use of the deck. The sun comes up in that direction making it the perfect early morning space. We used the fire pit most nights and enjoyed the absolute peace and quiet. We met a few neighbors who were pleasant and friendly. This was my favorite of all the places we’ve rented and would love to come back for another stay.We had a brief power outage one evening and called the emergency number. I received a call back quickly with information and updates. The manager was very responsive.
It was a great family visit. The house was roomy, clean and worked well for us. We had brought our own kayaks and enjoyed using them on the lake. We were initially surprised by the distance to the water, but quickly got used to it. The views from the elevated location were gorgeous. We had a fire in the fire pit one night and were able to watch the moonrise over the lake. Gorgeous.
We do a family vacation every year with kids and grandkids. The house was perfect for the 7 of us. It has beautiful lake views. There is lots to do in the area that is family friendly and the deck and open living area and dining area at the house were perfect for family dinners and games.
This was one of favorite vacations ever! The location directly over Seneca Lake is beautiful in every way! The expansive deck was much enjoyed and we cooked on the grill most nights!
I only had two big problems-the amenities list wheelchair accessible-I was not able to transfer into the shower bc opening was too small, NO grab bars and the bed is too high to transfer to. The kitchen is very tight and I was unable to cook. I washed my hair at kitchen sink and made the house work for us.
It was a wonderful vacation otherwise and contact Jolene responds quickly to any questions. I only ask that you remove that it’s wheelchair accessible because as stated it is not.
The setting was perfect. Quiet spot with fantastic views of Lake Seneca (and in our case, fall colors) from inside and outside on deck. Easy access to main road and local attractions. House was very comfortable with first floor living for us, who appreciate easy access. Love it that doggies are welcome! Thank you for your hospitality!
We were scheduled for last week and was fine right up to arrival. However, as we were walking through the house to check out the bedrooms and assign sleeping, we noticed the water filtration system overflowing in the lower level bedroom. I ended up swabbing the deck for 45 minutes until the maintenance could get there. First contact with the management was not great. They offered a refund but otherwise left us high and not-so-dry with no place to turn. However, after a call-back 30 minutes later, the management did provide a contact for a local inn and some $ towards one night to get us through. The contact came through with a small cottage that saved the weekend for us. The weather was beautiful. The fun little Finger Lakes Rail Riders was pleasant and something a little different and a walk around Watkins Glen provided a little exercise between wine tastings. Topped off with a stop at the Spotted Duck for ice cream and duck watching. Yum. And thanks for the help to see us through.
We had a great stay at Seneca Lake. The house was well kept and had plenty of space for myself and 5 others. The deck was spacious and had an amazing view of the lake - we spent a lot of our time out there. We look forward to another trip in the future!
In all house was perfect. We had problems with furnace and when addressed with the owner it was with turned over to a property management company. My question is how can you be a Super Host when don't even speak to your guests?
Breathtaking view of Lake Seneca and every amentity.
My husband and I and another couple stayed in this beautiful lakefront house for 4 nights. The house was very large and could have easily accommodated another adult couple and children too.. It was very convenient to all of the wineries on the west side of Lake Seneca and short drive to Keuka. We loved the wrap around deck with expansive views of the lake. The living room was glass on two side and two of the bedrooms also had a view of the lakes. The house had everything needed for a comfortable stay. There was extra of everything including a welcome bottle of wine. The kitchen was well stocked and included a cupboard with every spice imaginable and flour and sugar. You could have baked a cake! The layout of the kitchen was a little strange and difficult for more than one person to be near the sink but we made it work. The fridge was large and so was the stove. Check-in was easy with a keypad that you added your own code when you got there. It was a bit off the beaten path so there was no traffic noise and it was so nice and quiet. you only heard the sound of birds and squirrels and the waves lapping at times. There was a small dock a short walk down the hill where you could get in and out of the water on a ladder if you came in nice weather or fish. There is a binder with information about everything in the house and surrounding are including rental information on kayaks, canoes, bikes and so on. I would stay at this house in a minute. Two small complaints is there are no TVs in the bedrooms. We are used to that at home and always prefer that to fall asleep. We stayed in the master bedroom on the main floor and the bed was very comfortable. Our friends stayed in the bigger bedrooms on the lower floor and said that bed was not comfortable. There is another bedroom but they did not try that one. I would highly recommend this property.
It's a great location and a great property. Plenty of room for 3 couples plus 2 small kids, plus a dog. Plenty of privacy. This time, the floors were surprisingly a little dusty, but that's probably a one-off thing. It wouldn't keep us from staying there again.
We enjoyed our stay at Seneca Vista immensely! We spent a lot of time on the deck enjoying our coffee in the morning and adult beverages and snacks in the evening. What a treat as it was the beginning of October. Conveniently located by great vineyards and a short drive to Watkins Glen. The house was clean and very lovely. Everything in great working order with an outdoor fireplace to boot! Definitely recommend for a long weekend!
Our family enjoyed this home very much. It was very well stocked and had every kitchen appliance we needed. It was a little concerning that after booking, the welcome letter recommended that guests don’t keep their boat at the dock because of potential bad weather…but the dock does have whips and the weather cooperated so it worked out. The house was big and beautiful. The view amazing. The only negative is that it only has air conditioning in the bedrooms. Our week was very hot and humid so anytime spent in the house unless sleeping was somewhat uncomfortable, especially while cooking and when it rained. If staying in cooler weather, it’d be perfect! All in all, we had a wonderful time with many wonderful family memories made!
Our family loved the house, location and amenities. We joke that as much fun and enjoyment as we had, our son's 10 month old puppy probably had the greatest time. Her first time away and she lived in the water. So convenient for her to run down and jump off the dock swimming and fetching. We enjoyed the ease of taking our kayaks off the dock and so did she.
The house itself was impeccable. Clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. For us, the kayaking (we brought 2 and rented 2) was on of the highlights. Taking the kayaks and exploring the lake. In the morning catching the sunrises and at night, the fires in the fire pit were a great way to end the day. In between, the convenience to wineries, breweries and many other attractions is the best.
Already planning our stay here for next year.
The house was clean and fully stocked with linens and kitchen appliances. The deck had a beautiful view of the lake and provided plenty of space for our group of 5 to enjoy meals or just hang back with a glass of wine. The dock area was set up nicely. Reagan's delivered kayaks right to the waterfront area for us. The lake was crystal clear and great for swimming. The location made for relatively short trips to everything from Geneva to Watkins Glen. The finger lakes area and this house provided everything we look for in a vacation, comfortable accommodations, great waterfront property, and so many things to do and see nearby. We can't wait to do this again next year.
Everyone enjoyed the stay, we thought the bathroom situation may have been an issue for 4 couples but all worked out well. The view from the deck was fabulous....the view from the dock area was even better. I have knee issues so it was a little slow going to walk down to the dock area but we managed. The house, linens were spotless. Kitchen was well appointed, all appliances were in great working order. Nice quiet setting. And of course the most important thing was easy access to visit local wineries. My husband and I have coming to the Fingerlakes for 28yrs- always stayed in motel/hotels..liked this experience much better. Thanks again.
We really appreciated the accessibility of the home, our friend was able to navigate almost everywhere she needed to in her wheelchair. They also have a new fire pit area than the one included in the picture, it was great!
Very spacious house with beautiful views of the lake! Perfect location on the west side of Seneca super close to many many wineries!!! We really enjoyed our stay and will look forward to coming back!!!
