About this property

FP124 Cozy Ski- in Studio with Kitchenette!!

Enjoy the morning sitting on your private patio overlooking the slopes during the winter or the golf course during the summer. Cozy corner unit with easy access to the Super Bee lift! About 100 yds away! During the summer the patio overlooks hole #9 of the Copper Creek Golf course. Activities at Copper mtn for Summer 2020 is expected to open July 3, including the golf course. I just created an IG account for my studios, follow then at copper_ski_in_studios! This queen studio is perfect for a couple or small family with a young child. The essentials are found for this stay: with a queen bed, a full bathroom, kitchenette, TV with cable, free wifi, free parking onsite, and the building has a glorious hot tub overlooking the slopes! This room is found with the Foxpine Inn, East Village Copper Mtn.

With a redesigned space for 2019/20 winter season it should feel a little more spacious than last season. Took out the king bed and traded it for a queen. This studio has a sofa that converts to an additional queen bed as well or 2 twin beds if separated. This room would be best to accommodate 2 adults. It will be very tight if you try and fill it with 3 or 4. I give the option of a pull out queen sofa, cause sometimes the only time you are in the room is to sleep. It’s best to convert the sofa bed back into a sofa after use in the morning to give you more living space. The newly installed kitchenette (Feb 2019) includes a mini fridge/freezer, microwave, toaster over and a coffee maker. Save some money by having a few meals prepared in the room! The price reflects the location and the convenience of ski in and walk out. The pictures are accurate and show the unbelievable views, a private patio, but also that the room is pretty small. Enjoy your time on the slopes and relax back in the building with the large hot tub! The hot tub is shared with the rest of the guests staying at Foxpine Inn. It seats around 15 people.

This studio room is the East Village of Copper Mountain. During the Winter ski season there is a restaurant inside the building called the Double Diamond. Great Dinner spot! The owner Dave is super friendly and will welcome you by first name after meeting him once. Within a close walk is JJs Tavern, great spot to end the day with Apres, or head back there for dinner. Other option for food and socializing is heading to center village, the copper shuttle is free and circles around every 15min. It’s a quick 5 min ride to center village, once there, you will find multiple different options!

There is an outside parking lot as well as an underground garage for guests staying at the Foxpine Inn Building. Once checked in you will receive 1 parking pass. The spots are on a first come first serve basis, on holiday weekends it does become a little challenging to find a spot. The pass is also good for the nearby Alpine lot.

Exactly what’s needed
Great place if you are coming to hit the slopes. True ski to the front balcony. Everything you need with none of the frills. Would definitely stay again.

Compact but complete
This unit has everything though the overall size is tiny. Really convenient ski in ski out location. Was quite comfortable for one person. Though four could sleep there, four would be hard pressed to walk around. Maybe a couple with two small kids could make it work. Glad I found it. Owner and front desk staff very helpful.

Beautiful
We enjoyed our place. The front desk was friendly and helpful. Christys Rentals was literally right next door. Unfortunately, the Double Diamond restaurant has closed, so the only other option for dinner was JJs, which was ok. We were told that the shuttles ran until 10pm, but on the actual shuttles, it had 7a-7p posted in the window, I didn't want to take the chance. I also didn't realize that this mountain is broken up by ski level, which is amazing. We enjoyed watching the black slopes from the balcony. We, however, needed to be at the West Village where you can find the green slopes. But, we were able to have fun and sled literally right outside of our door. Overall, the place was quiet and amazing. We enjoyed watching the snow cats groom the slopes, it was beautiful and peaceful. We will be back

Heater Inoperative for Over Half of Our Stay
We reported the heater was not working to the property managers on duty at about 8:00 pm on our first night. It wasn't repaired until about 2:00 pm the next afternoon. The problem was an incorrectly installed thermostat which caused a wire in the wall to short and burn through the it's insulation. Neither we nor, apparently, the property managers were aware of a 25 hour emergency line. There were two small, noisy space heaters in the unit which we chose not to run continuously overnight. After a cold night, we discovered that we couldn't run both space heaters and any other appliances, including a laptop, at the same time because the unit was wired with only one circuit and the breaker would trip. The breaker was located at the other end of the building in a locked room. Preparing breakfast with a microwave and toaster oven while trying to heat the place took quite awhile. When we followed up with the owner about the problem (She hadn't been notified of it.) and asked for a one night refund, we were chastised for not using the 24 hour line, not running the space heaters all night, and not contacting her while we were there. She also said there had been intermittent problems with the heater in the past, but thought they were resolved. We were refunded approximately one half of one night's rental charge. As always, Caveat Emptor, but we hope our experience will lead to an inspection of all electrical work the contractor who installed the thermostat did on any other thermostats and heaters in any of the units.

CA country girl who is most happy when doing anything active, preferably outside. Grew up on farm in the Central Valley of CA, my first job was helping my parents with our farms' almond and walnut harvest. Moved to Denver in March of 2016 and accomplished my life long goal of owner a property at a ski resort in the summer of 2017. I grew up skiing at a tiny CA family resort called Dodge Ridge, and then in my adult years I expanded to ski more in the Tahoe area, most times at Kirkwood and Heavenly. I am excited to share this amazing purchase with you all, I have put a lot of thought and planning in trying create a very special experience while staying at this condo. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!
