Moana meaning ocean in Hawaiin, is a large double storey home designed for families in mind. Only a 5 minute stroll to both Penguin Point and Willyama beach families can come relax and watch the stunning sunsets over the native scrub from the large balcony deck.
Moana can comfortably cater for multiple families with 5 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, 2 living areas, large inside dining area and 2 outdoor dining areas. The outdoor space is both practical allowing ample parking, heated outdoor shower, fish cleaning facilities and more.

Heavenly weekend with friends

This property was fabulous for our girls weekend and long fundraiser walk in Dhilba Guuranda. Will be recommending it to our friends and family and will be repeat customers, no doubt.

Up Stairs- Down Stairs

a lovely house, nice big bedrooms , spacios living areas and a large deck upstairs. There is a kitchen upstairs with no stove and we would have found it much easier if there was one because there is a lovely large deck to eat out on . So we had to carry our food cutlery and crockery up stairs. Plates &cutlery upstairs would also have been useful. We had a lack of water problems and needed to contact the owner urgently, our email was addressed quickly but having the phone number would have been easier. overall I woul recommend this property

Thanks for your review. My number is on the booking as supplied by Stayz and I had previously messaged with check in details. As discussed on the phone rain water tanks do run out and a valve needed to be switched to change tanks (unfortunate but Marion bay has no access to mains water) We have contemplated installing a full kitchen in the kitchenette area up stairs but this would only increase the cleaning fee for guests and feel 2 kitchens might be unnecessary in a house. Hope you enjoyed your weekend

Great location, but house was dirty

Upon arrival, house had a foul smell. Mouse droppings in cupboards and corners of the downstairs bedroom. Dishes in cupboards were dirty, bench tops were sticky. Mattress protectors were stained and quilt covers looked as though they hadn’t been washed for a long time. One had food stains (sauce stains) on it. Fortunately we had bought all our own linen and quilts. House was definitely left in a better condition than what we found it. Kitchen downstairs with main seating upstairs was inconvenient, but manageable. Stovetop flame was weak, which made cooking difficult at times, however, all in all, if the place was cleaner, it would have been a good experience for all of us. This is because overall, the facilities were decent. Location was great, communication with property manager via email was excellent.

Great stay for a large group!We had a wonderful experience staying at this accommodation. It was a great fit for our group of 14 people, providing plenty of space and a very comfortable environment overall.During our stay, we encountered a minor plumbing issue. However, the owner handled it swiftly, professionally, and effectively, which we really appreciated. Prompt communication and quick problem-solving make a huge difference!Overall, it was a fantastic stay and a great experience. We would definitely recommend it to larger groups looking for a comfortable place with a responsive host.

Rental of Moana at Marion Bay, South Aust

Very good experience. Only 1 comment - the quilts were thinnish "summer" quilts which we had to double up due to cold nights in May & there were limited spare blankets. Some extra blankets would be good.

Just right for tired cyclists

We rode 'Walk the Yorke', so for tired riders, and the clean, spacious house was greatly appreciated. The well equiped kitchen coped with the hunger bouts & the huge deck perfect for autumn eve relaxation, drinks & chats. Thanks to the hosts

Marion Bay Holiday

Great house plenty of room , good facilities, large good yard facilities....would have liked cable tv and water to fish cleaning facilities . bBQ tray was not clean and flamed when first turned on ,,,,, could have caused a problem

We loved Marion Bay,the house was perfect for all of us. Perfect location ,but we found dirty cutlery and plates,and frying pan....we had to rewash .We will go back again !

Roomy and homely

Had a great stay at Moana! Amazing house - spacious in both living and sleeping quarters. The indoor dining table easily seated 14, and that wasn’t the only dining option! Two outdoor dining areas too, plus another indoors downstairs. All the little things like hand towels, hand soap, bath mats and tea towels were supplied, plus generous quantity of bin bags and loo paper! The enclosed outdoor area downstairs was terrific! Really safe for the little ones to play outside! The outdoor shower was great! Peter, the owner, was really friendly and readily responsive, every time! Highly recommend! Thanks for allowing us to stay!

Had a great week down at Marion Bay at Moana. Awesome accommodation. Comfortable, well provisioned, plenty of space for the entire combined families. Close to Innes and all the great beaches and places at the bottom of Yorkes.

Would come again.

Lots of room. Well equipped. Only things we couldn't find were an iron and a hose would have been useful for wetsuits and sandy dogs.

Hi Jane, We hope you enjoyed your stay and had a great Christmas!! We have an iron and ironing board down stairs in the laundry, if there wasn’t an iron it may have been stolen, sorry for the inconvenience if this was the case. We do not leave a hose out as Marion Bay is solely rain water supplied. unfortunately people tend to abuse water useage washing cars/boats etc when a hose is available. We are looking to install an outside shower this coming year, which we think will be a great addition and solve this issue. Hope you have a great new year. Cheers Peter
