My family and I spent amazing time in this house and area. It was truly a superb experience staying in place with beautiful surroundings. We will come back to this beautiful part of the world.
The views from this property are beautiful. Renate met us on arrival and was very welcoming. The house was large, clean and generally well equipped (although we couldn’t find an iron). The road to the house is very narrow with sharp corners and sheer drops to the side, so would not recommend for drivers of nervous disposition. But we had a lovely stay at this property.
Great spot and excellent service. Some simple amenities lacking though
We loved our stay and would recommend. Just be sure, in winter, to have chains for your vehicle, as the location is up a steep hill.
Also, there was a bit of a lack of simple things (soap in bathrooms etc) which the property should provide. You will need to buy everything yourself.
Phenomenal location for views of the surrounding valleys. Property was as described, but was missing some essentials that we normally expect (toiletries, cleaning supplies, paper products). That would be my only feedback for the owners. We stayed with 11 people 7 adults 4 kids. Lots of room for sleeping. Grounds were very well kept and room for the kids to stretch out and play. Laundry was a little small and slow for our group, but manageable.
The initial walk through and key exchange was awesome. She spoke English very well.
Last thing…the road to the home is VERY narrow, steep and made us initially think we were going the wrong way.
This is not your typical in town stay. The home is located on the side of a mountain with a 2 km narrow road to access but was worth it. Instructions to the exact VRBO location could have been a little more clear with nothing posted in the site details nor follow up communication. We also do not speak German so that may have been difficult. The home has everything needed for cooking. The outside grill is an open brick style and we did not have a chance to use it due to wind. Not a typical grill. May have worked fine but we thought it may not hold heat and the brickettes would burn too quickly. The views are amazing from this location and plenty of room for all. Don't forget to check out the waterfall just below the home, you can hear it form the deck. You need to access it from Schlitters and go all the way up past the bridge to see the larger falls.
Man findet in der Küche alles was man braucht.
