What a wonderful part of the world! Thank you Louise and Bert for opening your beautiful farm on the Murray for us to explore, relax and enjoy. Looking forward to another visit in the near future.
Everything was great. Host was super friendly and the space was clean. Just bummed that we were not aware that the water behind the house had dried out.

Jeez Michael, I’m sorry we cannot control the Murray river water levels that the lagoon behind the house is fed from.
Maybe you should direct your disappointment to the Murray Darling Basin Authority.
Very clean and comfortable property.
The wine and honey on arrival was well received.
Hosts were very accommodating and friendly.
Would definitely stay here again.
Such a serene and peaceful location, large comfortable house, so many birds, also saw kangaroos and a duck! only a short trip to Corowa and vineyards. nearby Beechworth, Rutherglen and Chiltern well worth visiting. really enjoyed our stay, thank you Louise and Bert.
We really enjoyed our stay. It was the perfect break between Christmas and New Year. The property on the river is stunning. Great, huge house. Good location to explore the Murray, lakes and wineries. Thanks for having us.
This beautifully kept property sits in the heart of wine country and is a great spot to visit. Our hosts were friendly and very welcoming. The house is spacious, comfortable and had everything we needed to be self sufficient and comfortable.
Well kept home on a working farm. Very convenient to Corowa, Mulwala and the Rutherglen wine area. Even though it’s on a working farm, the house was quiet and relaxing, just right for our group of 3 couples. We lunched out every day and stayed in for our evenings, enjoying local wines and a few card games. The surrounding gardens are full of local bird life. Overall, a wonderful relaxing few days. Thank you Bert and Louise for sharing you little slice of Paradise.
Great rural property with every facility required for a peaceful relaxing holiday with friends. The sights and sounds of a working cattle farm and abundant bird life on the billabong at the back fence were very enjoyable.
Friends shared this retreat on the Murray about 6 kms from Corowa. Beautiful set up with gorgeous views, birds, cows, peace!
House is so spacious and has everything you could need- would be great for entertaining a large group. Thanks Bert and Louise
We had the great pleasure of enjoying the beautiful and peaceful Sanctuary home for our recent family getaway. The home is immaculately presented and the billabong/river views are magnificent!
Bert and Louise are fantastic hosts who greeted us on arrival and made us feel right at home- even leaving a lovely bottle of wine for our arrival.
Thank you Bert and Louise for your generous hospitality and for opening up your beautiful home to us.
Had the best time EVER. Such a lovely place to stay. Both Bert and Louise are the perfect hosts. Nothing was a bother for them. The wood heater was stacked and ready to light, and OMG the organic honey that’s left on the bench for us to use AMAZING!!!!!
Will definitely be back
Louise and Bert are very hospitable and managing property in excellent/cosy condition. Welcome bottle of Pinot Noir and honey on arrival. Excursion to Murray river by Bert, required support during stay and support after by Louise/Bert. Thank you. Leon and friends.
