My Serenity home on Techumseh Island includes a fully furnished, Master Bed room down stairs, Finished loft/attic upstairs. Sleeps 6-8 with queen size beds. Full bath down stairs, 1/2 bath upstairs,

Living room and Dining room overlooking the lake. Fully furnished kitchen.
Cable TV with free WIFI, Stereo, and Fireplace.

You will enjoy a spacious back yard/ patio area, with swim ladder and a 24' Boat dock with ample parking and swimming area. You can dine lakeside with a comfortable patio dining table seating 6, and an umbrella to block the afternoon sun. Additionally there is corn hole game in the storage shed and ample outdoor patio furniture. Also included is a portable fire ring with firewood provided to enjoy the twilight hours.

For parking, there is easy drive up access, with spaces for maximum 4 vehicles/trailers.

Quiet island living, easy boating access to 10 bars/restaurants (Cranberry's is closest) and a comfortable vacation awaits you.

Clean and tidy. GREAT STAY! We wish we could have stayed longer. Having the boat dock so extremely convenient to zip around the lake.It was relaxing. Spent the days on the lake and played games at the dinner table in the evening. 10 out of 10, highly recommend!Kent the owner was great and quickly repsonded to our inquiries!Make sure to walk or boat over to Cranberry Resort for lunch/dinner.

Beautiful property. Upstairs space is “funky” but satisfactory for children. Outstanding deck with dock access providing very nice eastern views. Outdoor furniture was very nice and fire ring/firewood was a nice addition. Well equipped kitchen, clean and comfortable.

Adorable small lake house

Great location. Small lake house perfect for couples! Upstairs is very hot where other bedrooms are so dont suggest sleeping up there. Great outdoor area and dog friendly!

Overall we had agreat experience. Beautiful view of the lake and easy access to everything. There were a couple of things that could be improved on. As I read other reviews I have to agree that the mattresses were not comfortable. We also spent about 3 to 4 hours cleaning up. I would encourage the owner to consider checking up on whoever is cleaning the space.Other than that, it was a great place to stay.

As for the cleaning, I pay a professional cleaning company to take care of my home in between renters, and usually they do a great job. Perhaps, they were rushed as you wanted to arrive early and they did not clean to your expectations. Should you choose to rent again, I will give you a $100 discount for a stay of 4 or more days. Perfect area for watching the sunrise.

We love staying at this location! The fishing was awesome. The house has been remodeled, very comfortable living and dining room, and has all the appliances you could want. The area it is in is close to a park, a very popular restaurant, and all the people on the island are very friendly. The dock is new, and it is an easy in and out for your boat. We have rented this location six times and have never been disappointed. We will be back next year!!

indian lake cottage

great location right on the water. Very good fishing. fully furnished, but had to ask for sheets blankets and pillows. Beds where comfortable but furniture not so much. Had problem with water shutting off, really annoying. Overall enjoyed our stay.

As for the the linens, they are not provided for my property, and is stated in the property listing. To accommodate your travels from out of state, we made an exception and purchased linens and left them there upon your first request. Thank you for your review. There are 3 outlets in the Master Bed Room, one behind each of the small dressers on both sides of the bed. Another outlet at the foot of the bed. It just requires that you move the dresser slightly to find them. The mattress situation has been addressed.

Very clean and well maintained. We don't have anything but good things to say about the house. But, we were disappointed by the lake this year. Last year it was very clear, this year it was like pea soup.

Perfect family getaway!

What an adorable little cottage. Perfect size for the six of us. We were virgin boaters and this was the perfect place to start. It had everything we needed and we came prepared. The neighbors were so very friendly. We did experience quite a bit of algae initially but we were able to find spots that were much better. I really love Indian lake so I hope to see it get better and better as the years go on. I would definitely stay here again! We hope to see you soon. Thank you-

Great little cottage that sleeps many

The cottage was clean, updated, comfortable and very efficiently laid out. Great to have a washer dryer and dishwasher! My daughters and their friends loved having the upstairs loft all to themselves with 3 queen beds and a twin there was a bed for everyone! And the small bathroom upstairs was great to have. We love the location right on the lake with easy access on and off the boat dock. We enjoyed being right on the water and spent much of our time outside. Bonus - The neighbors on both sides were great! Only complaint, the water had a terrible smell (rotten eggs) I know it’s on a well, but this seemed extreme- maybe the salt was low on the soft water tank? It did improve minimally as the days went on (either that or we got use to it). It was unpleasant to even shower or wash dishes in. Other than that, everything was great and we had a wonderful time! We are enjoyed staying at your property!!

Thank you for your 5 star review and bringing the well water smell issue to my attention. It has been remedied. It is just a simple maintenance resolution by pouring 1 gallon of bleach down into the water well, and this process will instantly clear up the bad odor you experienced. This task was on my maintenance man's schedule every 2 months and he must have missed it. The issue is now solved.

Perfect!

Great waterfront property on Indian lake! A group of 6 stayed here, including an infant. Plenty of space indoors on rainy days to relax and enjoy the view. Large kitchen was great for cooking. Master bedroom is on the first floor, good for less able guests. Loft has tons of sleeping space, and while the cielings were a bit low (peaked roof loft), it is very manageable. There was A/C up there so it was pleasant. We were able to (very tightly) squeeze 2 trucks with bass boats, and one additional truck in the driveway, so it would comfortably hold 4 vehicles. Highlight of the property is the back yard. Cement patio with just enough grass leads right up to the water. Table with umbrella, grill, and fire pit make for great outdoor activities all day long. Docked both 20ft boats during stay at the property's private dock with no issue, bumpers were even provided! Very impressed.

Nice house

Nice house, in a great location. Very nice neighbors next door. The temperature control others described was not an issue for us. The beds upstairs (the 2 in the window area) had old, broken down box springs. I am only assuming the mattress on each bed was older, too. They were not comfortable, (at all) for a full night of sleep. The downstairs bed was comfortable, my friend said. The description clearly stated no linens provided, so there was no surprise there. We came prepared. Neither my friend or I have ever rented a house with a “bring your own linens” policy. When you add up all the blankets, sheets and kitchen/bath towels needed, it is extra to pack, and takes a lot of car space when packing. There was plenty of TP, no extra paper towels, empty salt/pepper, almost empty dish soap, and missing hand soap in upstairs and kitchen sinks. We probably could have called for some, but made do with what we brought. The owner and his brother were easy to reach and responded quickly to a couple of questions. The firewood was plentiful, with a portable fireplace, which was nice. The outside space was great, as was the lake view from inside. Would I book again? Maybe, if the 2 beds I tried upstairs were replaced. Tossing and turning all night and waking up with a backache every morning was disappointing. Oh, and don’t ask for a late checkout if you need one (for a very legitimate reason.) It won’t happen, despite not being booked again that night. You’ll pay for another full night

Thank you for your review. Your comments were honest and mostly true. I have a fully furnished home, but that does not include consumables like "Salt and Pepper" paper products and hand soap. As for linens, they are not provided as this is not a hotel and I do not want to be responsible for doing laundry between each guest. As for the upstairs beds, I will check them out during my next visit and replace them if I find the same results as you found.

We had no issues, would rent again. We had boat issues so we didn’t get to utilize the dock like we would of hoped for but we still enjoyed our stay and the lake front setting!

Myself and my family has all been born and raised in the Indian Lake area and it is where are hearts are. A graduate of Bellefontaine High School, I currently reside in the Dallas/Fort Worth area working as a pilot/Instructor.

This is my future retirement home, and has been in my family for several decades.

Why they chose this property

The Serenity Home has been in my family now for the 2nd generation. Many wonderful memories were created here, and we look forward to allowing you to create your own memories.

What makes this property unique

Being located on the Techumseh Islands, you are away from much of the lake traffic and activity. My back patio is also in a no wake zone, so the water is much calmer then other parts of the lake.
The sunrises here are spectacular and it is an easy 5 minute walk to Pew Island, where you can sit and watch the sunsets.
