It was a great experience to stay at your place. It was beautiful and clean, the only issues where that oven did not work, but overall, I love the place nice and quiet.
The house was very nice and clean with everything we needed and the street was nice, but when we took our dogs for walks, wherever we went there were huge dogs barking at us from all directions! Not that it mattered, but it would have been nice to know that it is a duplex.
The property was as described. We felt very comfortable regarding the level of cleanliness/sanitizing. Loved the fenced backyard for the dogs to play safely. A couple small things, the great room furniture was uncomfortable-the legs had been removed from one piece making it ridiculously low to the ground the other was saggy in the middle, All in all we enjoyed our stay.
The house was clean however, the disappointing items were the bed was not comfortable, the air conditioner did not work well, and the house was not located in a good neighborhood.
The home was great inside; kitchen, living space and bedrooms were very cozy. The backyard could use a little grooming, but having the firepit and cornhole was nice while sitting outside in the morning with a cup of coffee! The location was convenient to many restaurants and outdoor activities.
Nice get away in the pines , we enjoyed our time there so did our dogs!
Some items need to be repaired, faucet in kitchen if you turned it off in the warm position it would slowly turn back on by it self! We thought that the concrete patio should be washed off with pressure washer to get grease spots Off ! Also the trash by the front door stunk really bad it was 3/ 4 full, must of misted trash day! These are minor problems, I think it is important for you to know!
Driving into this place, I had my reservations until we turned onto the street where the duplex is located. It is definitely a cute little house on a street that has a rough edge next to it. We had a quiet stay, despite the other reviews.
The property is as listed. It is clean and assessable (though rekeying the lock wouldn’t be a bad idea as it is a little tricky) and being able to park under the cover next to the house vehicle was nice. It made me feel more secure somehow.
I’d recommend bringing slippers as the house has beautiful tile and wood floors, and no area rugs or mats in the common areas. The floors were cool, and I could see them being very cold in the winter months. However, I personally loved them! They made cleaning up after my little boy much easier. We had several dinners at the giant marble island and enjoyed the space. We didn’t utilize the rocking chair as there was a lamp without a bulb or a shade placed just behind it, and we didn’t want the kids to mess anything up. From a different review, I wonder if this is the same lamp.
The TV is large and has satellite. We enjoyed watching cartoons with the kids in the evenings. There was also HBO while we were there, and we liked the master bed has the same cable setup and we could watch movies in bed together after the kids went to sleep.
Our children shared the room with the bunk beds. They each slept on the bottom, and they said it was comfy and they enjoyed the magnetic dart board in their room.
The 3rd room went unused the entire time we were here, but it seems like a perfect room for a morning person as it is the brightest room in the house at the start of the day.
The bathrooms were full of clean towels and plenty of soap/toilet paper. I loved the curved shower rods! They’re a great touch!
The dryer is stacked on top of the washer at the end of the hallway, just outside the master and guest bedroom. We used it one night, which was not a great experience—but the person who watches over the property for the owner (across the street) was going to look at it when we leave so hopefully that will be remedied quickly.
The only other “bad” thing (if you can call it bad) was upon arrival, there were several empty bottles of shampoo and body wash in both tubs of the bathrooms. Luckily, we had brought our own out of habit when we travel.
The backyard has a grill, a table, and the game cornhole with the bean bags. My kids enjoyed playing that.
I’d definitely recommend!

Liked: Cleanliness, check-in
Disliked: Location, listing accuracy
Cute duplex, not so much neighborhood behind it
Overall, we’re glad we stayed here as it was clean and had plenty of board games. The price was okay, although the price we got nicked for a lamp head we broke was over the top. I could’ve bought a whole new lamp with the post for that price.
Pulling into the neighborhood, it is not at all what we expected. After driving through some seedy streets, we drive into this duplex. We were hoping to have some relaxation and not have to be surrounded by neighbors so closely. Felt uncomfortable being in the backyard as the neighbors can see right through the fence. There was welding going on at night by the back neighbor. Felt more like we were staying at a cheap motel than an actual cabin where it is meant to be a place of rest and less worries.
I recommend more selection in the kitchen when it comes to cooking bowls, pitchers, and strainers.
Has a nice backyard for pets. Plenty of sleeping space. Everything worked
Suggestions for improvement:
The fry pans had scraped Teflon. Add a Keurig machine
Bring your own coffee.

I will definitely not book here again.
It is the first time I am so disappointed with a cabine. There are many issues in this property which need to be considered. I have to be honest in this review and I hope Emily is not annoyed.
We did not have internet connection for the first few hours and we had to call them frequently to fix the problem.
Bedrooms smelled awful, dogs fur were stuck everywhere and we had to clean the sofa and floor before sitting on.
No bed sheets, hair dryer, washing machine soap, and dish drainer were provided. The bunk bed was very flimsy and no one dared to sleep on the top. It did not even have steps to get the top bed.
There was only one covered parking available for guests. The other one is always occupied by the owner.
We also did not like the area the property is located in.

They're trying....
I have to say the owners are VERY responsive but they have issues to fix. There's DirecTV but we were only able to get the shopping channels and a few others (mostly none we were interested in). Owners said there should be more but we were never able to get them, screen always said to contact Direct). The backyard is a mess, there was a new table and chairs and grill brought in while we were there but it certainly no place we'd want to sit out. It's a duplex so there's no control over what's next door. In this case it was three dogs that barked ever time the neighbors left and would charge up to the fence if you walked out the back door. Other neighbors spoke with them, and they managed to keep them quiet for the most part. We like to sleep with the windows open but we're unable to do so due to music from a bar the street behind. There's absolutely NO place to sit and read, no lamps in the living room and the bedside lights weren't conducive for reading. I hate to pile on the owners because they were very prompt in responding but I have to be honest in my review as I count on others to do so when I'm considering a place. In my opinion they have a lot to do to get the place up to speed and unfortunately some matters are out of their hands

Perfect weekend getaway
This was a great location for a weekend getaway! Close to many hiking trails, and fenced in backyard for our dog to go in/out as needed. Would be great for a small group or family with 3 bedrooms available (one room with bunk beds). Owner was easy get in touch with and very quick to respond. Local guide in the house, and was emailed a "get started" guide. Would definitely stay here again.

Thank you Emily! We will be back!
We had a great stay - house was clean, beds were comfortable and it was within walking distance of hiking trails and to the Lions Den Bar & Grill. The neighbor was very helpful (I believe he watches over the house for the owners) - we will definitely book again!
