Great Staff, Location and Hotel

This hotel was located in a great area--good local eating spots, nice walking areas, easy access to the streetcar and away from the hustle and bustle. The entire staff is really great--very attentive, friendly and helpful. The hotel was well maintained, secure and the rooms are spacious and very clean. We would come back to New Orleans and would definitely stay here again.

Welcoming with Great Location

This VRBO was located in what appeared to be a hotel. The location was wonderfully located in the Garden District, and it had RTA trolly public transport close. We found a live coach roach in the bathroom, but otherwise, the room was tidy and modern.

There were two incidents that were irritating during my visit. One was the check-in process and the other the night time valet. Upon check-in I was serviced by Jannine, a pleasant lady that took care of me with a big smile. It was confusing what I was to do and was given a wrist band rather than an actual key. Had I some business to attend to I would not have wanted that thing around my wrist, but it was okay since I was there to attend Jazzfest only. I was informed that valet parking was all that was available and that it was 50 p/night, an expense not disclosed during my reservation process. Shortly after getting to my room I was called down by guest services where I was pitched on a time share. They were willing to waive my valet fees if I sat through their presentation. No thanks. While I was still up to this point unable to understand who to speak with for valet services, I finally had someone explain and I made the arrangements. Upon my return on Friday my valet experience was awful. I walked in, wet from torrential rains, and asked the young man at the valet desk to take care of my car. I gave him my ticket and my key. He asked if I had the piece of paper they had attached to my key and responded, "I think I may have lost that". He said, I had to have it. I finally found it, soaked from the rain for him to respond "How did it get wet?" in an accusatory tone. It didn't go well from there, but he finally took my key and parked my car.
