Claytana was an outstanding host. I was welcomed on arrival and she provided me with local information on places to go for dinner. Her breakfasts were excellent, and she accommodated my dietary preferences. The room was clean, quiet, and comfortable. The common areas (kitchen and living room) were spacious and comfortable. The grounds are well maintained. I stayed for two nights (20 - 21 Oct) while on a hiking trip in the area. I highly recommend Cottage in the Woods.
Claytonna, and Dave were great hosts. The entire house, room, common area, and property were super clean, and the breakfast was awesome ! We stayed in the Hummingbird Room, and it lived up to its name. Each morning, we sat on their deck drinking coffee and watched at least 10 hummingbirds buzz in, and out of the feeders that they had. Also had rabbits in the yard. Very impressed, and highly recommend this location.
We had a wonderful stay. The room was everything we needed very clean and comfy and decorated well. We love the hosts and their hospitality and will return.
The bedroom and bathroom were beautifully decorated. The common areas were cozy and comfortable. Claytona was a gracious hostess. Breakfast was delicious and easy going.
Accommodations were very comfortable, and the host was very friendly and helpful, recommending good dining and hiking opportunities. I would highly recommend cottage in the woods.
Staying at the Cottage in the Woods was wonderful. It was a nice retreat after hiking the Glen. The hosts were very friendly and welcoming, the property was inviting, the room was super cozy, and breakfast was delicious. We would stay there again!
Can't say enough good things about our stay with Clay and Dave. They were warm and wonderful hosts, and their home and the location were both beyond beautiful! Our room was spacious, comfortable, and quiet. Breakfast was delicious, and I especially appreciated the flexibility when I made a couple of special requests. One of my favorite things was drinking coffee on the porch and watching the hummingbirds. It seemed like there were hundreds of them, and we got to know their habits after being there for 9 days. They didn't name our room "Hummingbird" for nothing! Thank you, Clay and Dave, for a wonderful stay. Hope to be back in the fall for hiking. (And hope that the weather cooperates then!)
