The Bandlands Bunkhouse is a nice retreat from the city if your are looking for a peaceful weekend. The property itself is clean and well-maintained and decorated with some fun Western kitsch.
This was such a great place. A little bit out of town but worth every minute of it! Took our dogs and was the best place for them to get lots of exercise and privacy! I would recommend to anyone that like a little rustic mixed with a beautiful place!
Out of town on a farm with an incredible view of the mountains. So peaceful, (yet good wifi). A very nice host who has thought of everything. Our dog thought the place was heaven.
I took the kids (15,18) on a road trip with the purpose to visit central Oregon. We brought our dog and this was the perfect location. BLM land for walks and central location of the house for daily trips to visit sister cities. Allison was great and gave some great places for us to visit. Thank you for the memories

Badlands or Bust!
A wonderful riding adventure tucked into the sand and rim rocks of the Badlands. Friends, food and afternoon thunderstorms washed all our cares away. We will be back!
Really nice, rustic home about 15-20 minutes from Bend. Two air conditioners that managed to keep the entire place cool in 88 degree weather (fairly loud white noise though). Kitchen is great and sleeps five easily. We also had two large dogs that immediately felt at home. Have to leash on property (no fences) but within a hundred yards is the Badlands recreational area and can go off leash. The owners even marked the trail so you won’t get lost.
Had a great time and will make this our go to Bend rental.
What a fun place! The house was as fun as it looks in the photos. Allison was a great host. We had a great time hanging out with the horses and sheep, biking along the canal, and hiking out in the Badlands. It was close, but not too close, to Bend.
We had a great time just kicking back and going for little walks out behind the property with our dog. This is an unusually dog-compatible place! The owners are very responsive, the place was clean and well-stocked, everything worked fine. If you need serious broadband, this might not be the place, but surfing and a little streaming was fine. And they don't encourage using the woodstove a lot. Overall we had a great time and would love to go back.
The bunkhouse provides a warm, cozy atmosphere against the backdrop of high desert wilderness. A quick 15 minute jaunt to town, allows for all the conveniences of the city with the peace and quiet of country living. Allison, the property owner, was welcoming as could be and her gorgeous art adorns the walls of the festive saloon quarters. Thumbs and paws way up for this spot!
We loved our stay at the Bunkhouse. Allison was great and wanted to make us feel at home. We enjoyed letting our dog run on the off-leash trails that are just behind the Bunkhouse. The distance from downtown Bend is far enough away to enjoy a retreat, but close enough for a quick drive into town. Would definitely recommend!

Amazing week
Fantastic time in the bunkhouse. We stayed a week in September. It was amazing for many reasons, spacious, comfortable, super clean, quiet, gorgeous inside and out. Just experiencing the animals and landscape was wonderful, but the starry nights and the quiet days when only birds were chirping made it extra nice. Everyday we walked in the morning and in the afternoon on the trails and up and down the drive. Peaceful.
Comfy bed, everything we needed in the kitchen to cook full dinners as well as breakfast and lunch.
Allison was very nice, informative, personable and immediately available should we need anything, which we didn't.
Our favorite restaurants in town for the Drake and Boxwood.
We also did day trips to Crater lake, Smith Rock, and Sisters.
I can't wait to return next year.
Everything from beginning to end of this trip was great. Host Allison has wonderful communication and her welcome packet for her guests is so detailed, I was very impressed. The home is amazing, so clean, with lots of amenities and her own artwork. Her spouse Bryan came to say hello and we had a wonderful conversation about the ranch. You really just need your clothes and food to come and relax here, everything else is provided. We brought our two small dogs and when they say dog-friendly they mean it. We felt very welcomed here with our fur babies. We saw lots of wildlife: owl, rabbits and lizards. Beautiful home and property. We definitely would return. Thank you Allison and Bryan!
Thank you for a fantastic mini vacation!! The Bunkhouse is amazing, the badlands hikes right next door and the views are simply amazing!! Great welcome from Allison, she made us feel right at home. This a very dog friendly property and our girl had a fantastic time with us! We are definitely coming back sometime. Thank you, thank, you thank you for making our mini get away so pleasant!!! We love this property!!
Perfect for a weekend getaway. Property owner is really nice and respectful of your space.

Great retreat getaway
It was the perfect setting for our getaway without kids to reconnect, recharge and rest. Plus celebrate our 8th anniversary from the day we met. We had one of our pups in tow and the environment was incredibly dog friendly. Accommodations were romance and comfortable. We stayed in for all of our meals, the kitchen is well appointed for cooking. The peaceful and beautiful grounds were enjoyed as much as we could with current air quality concerns in area. We will return.
My friends and I had a wonderful stay at the Badlands Saloon. Very comfortable home stocked with anything you might need and the backdrop of the ranch was the ideal background for a relaxing getaway.

Great place to stay!
The host was super responsive. Place was very clean. Loved staying on a working ranch. Bend is very close but you are out in the country. I would highly recommend this place!
We loved this funky cabin on Honest Dog Ranch. The setting is gorgeous. Amazing sunsets over the snow capped Cascade Mountains. We spent time visiting the horses everyday. There is lovely artwork in and around the cabin and the hosts have done a wonderful job of creating an oasis of peace and tranquility in the surroundings. There is a ton to see and do in the area - hiking, lakes, and checking out restaurants in Bend.

Saloon Stay
The Saloon was a uniquely decorated lodging option that was fit for the area. The dining and lounging area was big and cozy. I wish there was a little more personalized communication prior to check in, but everything worked out great. Thank you!
We loved our stay at the Badlands Saloon. We sat on the great front porch for hours and watched them train their dogs with the sheep. What a great place for a family to step away from the hustle and just enjoy the beauty of the area and being together in a truly unique setting.
We had everything we needed to cook meals and enjoy our family time.
This is a wonderful property that was as advertised. My son brought his two dogs and it was perfect for them. The owners are very inviting and available if needed. We had a terrific time and would stay there again.
We were looking for a peaceful location close to Bend. We found it in this property. It was that and so much more. Clean, roomy, simple all apply. Access to the Badlands and all things Bend are easy. Lovely yard, relaxing coffee on the porch, interesting books and magazines, delightful decor. Lots to love!
