Excellent property outside North Fork
We had a very pleasant three night stay at this studio outside North Fork. The property is above the owners house (which he completely built himself, Bob the builder) but has a separate entrance with it’s own parking place. There is a very large garden with barbecue, sitting area and splash pool at the side and back of the house with spectacular views towards the National Park. On my first walk down the garden two deer met me!
The studio is comfortably furnished with widescreen TV with free film channels. There is also an iPod docking station.
The kitchen is well equipped with a fridge/freezer microwave oven, toaster and hotplate.
There is a good Wi-Fi connection and air-conditioning with a ceiling fan in the studio that brought the temperature down to an acceptable level.
A car is essential as the property is outside the town and local shops are about a km away.
There is plenty of information on places to visit in the property. We went to Yosemite National Park (note this drive takes at least one and a half hours on winding roads). Be careful if you undertake one of the walks in the park that you are up to it, ours was described as ‘moderate’ but would have been suitable for a mountain goat in places! Bass Lake is well worth a visit, lots of nice places for picnics and other water activities. Bob loaned us chairs and travel rugs to use.
Bob has really sat down and thought about what guests need in the studio, there are many little extras provided to make your stay comfortable, and it was nice chatting to him one evening.
We would use the studio again if in the area.
