Hang on to your hats...this HUGE (4250 square feet) and VERY WELL equipped home sits on the Main Lake close to everything...marinas, main highway access( 903), restaurants, etc. With 160' of grassy bulkheaded waterfront and a 1800 square foot double boat house and dock you have everything you need to enjoy the sun and fun outdoors. Renters can use 1 slip (without lift), 3 jet ski lift and dock space for 1 additional boat. Deep-water Access, 10' at dock edge.

The house has 5 bedrooms, 3.5 bathrooms, plus a sunroom. The Upstairs has a full kitchen, sunroom, 1 fireplace, 3 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, 2 Kings, 1 Queen, 3 TV/DVD/VCR/CD, Dining Room, Kitchen Nook, 2 Microwaves, 2 Car Garage.

The Downstairs has 2 more bedrooms, 1 full bath, an A.M. Kitchen (no oven) for limited meals and entertaining, breakfasts, etc. Another fireplace, surround sound TV/DVD/VCR/CDs, pool table, wet bar and another huge living room that opens up to a gently sloping grassy backyard down to 160' of bulkheaded main lake enjoyment. You don't have to try to find the lake from this house! The house has 2 stories and is well set for sending the kids downstairs for sleeping and entertaining with their own pool table, kitchen, rooms, TV, etc. ADDITIONAL PHOTOS SEE LINK BELOW.

Lot's of decking, huge dock and high dive/platform. This house is dog friendly with outside dog run and fence. Dogs MUST be contained in kitchen area ONLY (baby gates provided), dogs may not roam house freely.

Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.

DO NOT RUN OR JUMP OFF BOAT HOUSE ROOF. There is a high dive for this purpose. Jumping ONLY.

DO NOT ATTEMPT TO PUT YOUR BOAT ON THE LIFT. WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DAMAGE TO YOUR BOAT.

NC STATE LAW REQUIRES ALL BOAT AND JETSKI TRAFFIC TO BE AT LEAST 200’ OFF THE DOCK. WE REQUEST THAT GUESTS BE COURTEOUS OF OUR NEIGHBORS AT THE LAKE.

Beautiful lake views from the house and plenty of room to spread out. The dock is so nice. We enjoyed the kayaks, pool table, and fire pit. The kitchen had everything we needed. Our first time at Lake Gaston did not disappoint. We will be back!

Everything was absolutely perfect. The house was lovely and had everything we need (including great kitchen appliances since we did a lot of cooking.) We grilled out, went fishing and did some kayaking. We also rented a pontoon boat for a few days and were able to easily dock up. We had more than we needed and my family of four (2 little kids) had a blast! We plan to try to come back with the grandparents next time too because of how accessible everything was!

The house was awesome. The hosts were good and quick to answer any questions. However, check-out needs to be at noon rather then 10 am.

Thank you for your feedback—we're glad you found the home beautiful, well cared for, and that we were responsive to questions when asked. We're always happy to accommodate later check-outs up to noon when our schedule allows; in this case we were unaware of the desire for a late checkout. That said, we were disappointed to discover upon departure an undisclosed dog (whether a service animal or other), and that the property required extensive cleanup and plumbing repairs (including two clogged toilets), which doubled our team's time and delayed preparations for future guests. In our 20 years of hosting and with nearly 175 five-star reviews, this was an unprecedented situation. As experienced owners, we welcome respectful guests who align with our high standards in the future!

This is a beautiful home and property. We had one day in the 70’s and the kids took the kayaks for a trip on the lake. The remaining days were seasonally cold and we enjoyed a fire in the fireplace every day. We had 13 people including a few kiddos and there was plenty of room for everyone. We will return to enjoy this home in the summer.

Our go to house in winter

My husband and kids love to fish off the dock of this house so we try to book it every year or so. The owners are accommodating and the house is always nice and tidy for our arrival.

Why they chose this property

This house just seemed to have everything we needed. Not only does it sleep so many, but what this house had that nothing we saw ever did was a layout that accommodated large diverse groups. Kids have virtually their own living space for Pool, Ping Pong, even their own kitchen area. While the adults have space for easy living with the ability to survey all that's going on.

The location, simply put, is the best on the lake. It is close to everything, including dining, marinas, services, etc.

What makes this property unique

This house allows for incredible sunrises and sunsets from the wrap around deck or from the expansive dock. We make available a slip right next to the high dive! Great fishing including Gar, Bass, Catfish and the ever present Sunfish.
