Hang on to your hats...this HUGE (4250 square feet) and VERY WELL equipped home sits on the Main Lake close to everything...marinas, main highway access( 903), restaurants, etc. With 160' of grassy bulkheaded waterfront and a 1800 square foot double boat house and dock you have everything you need to enjoy the sun and fun outdoors. Renters can use 1 slip (without lift), 3 jet ski lift and dock space for 1 additional boat. Deep-water Access, 10' at dock edge.

The house has 5 bedrooms, 3.5 bathrooms, plus a sunroom. The Upstairs has a full kitchen, sunroom, 1 fireplace, 3 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, 2 Kings, 1 Queen, 3 TV/DVD/VCR/CD, Dining Room, Kitchen Nook, 2 Microwaves, 2 Car Garage.

The Downstairs has 2 more bedrooms, 1 full bath, an A.M. Kitchen (no oven) for limited meals and entertaining, breakfasts, etc. Another fireplace, surround sound TV/DVD/VCR/CDs, pool table, wet bar and another huge living room that opens up to a gently sloping grassy backyard down to 160' of bulkheaded main lake enjoyment. You don't have to try to find the lake from this house! The house has 2 stories and is well set for sending the kids downstairs for sleeping and entertaining with their own pool table, kitchen, rooms, TV, etc. ADDITIONAL PHOTOS SEE LINK BELOW.

Lot's of decking, huge dock and high dive/platform. This house is dog friendly with outside dog run and fence. Dogs MUST be contained in kitchen area ONLY (baby gates provided), dogs may not roam house freely.

This is a really great lake property, especially for the value! It is near the marina so easy to pick up boats, and just across the bridge for easy access. It has all the amenities you would want at a lake house including kayaks, life preservers, and slips for your own boat and waverunners. There were a few cobwebs on the dock and house, but it was a quick clean up. It has a great gradual sloping lawn and lots of play zones including quick connect Bluetooth speakers on the dock. Loud enough for the whole backyard actually. The house has a great downstairs party zone including kitchen and pool table. Tons of beds and sleep areas. 11 bicycles in the garage plus ping pong. It's in a great neighborhood and very walkable as well. Would highly recommend! It's got a very comfortable Lake vibe. It has all the amenities but not overly fancy.

Great Fall getaway

This was a great property! Our group always does a summer trip to Lake Gaston. We wanted to experience it in the fall. This property was very accommodating for our group. The neighborhood was really nice for walks. The house had plenty of sleeping quarters and spaces to hang out. The dock and views were awesome! I would highly recommend.

Family Girls Weekend

This was the tenth annual family girls weekend and the second time staying here! We love this house. There is plenty of room for us all. The water view is beautiful! We definitely Recommend this house for anyone.

Fun family vacation!

We had a great time at the Timberlane Retreat! Great location on the lake with beautiful views! Scott was a pleasure to work with and answered all questions! 21 of us had a great time! Hopefully we’ll be back in a couple years!

Perfect location, clean, great owners, perfect Lake Gaston rental!

We booked very last minute "off-season" and the owner made sure the property was clean and had landscapers come out quickly before our arrival - very impressed and grateful. The location was ideal, pier was amazing and house was in great condition. It can sleep so many ppl that we are considering booking again with our extended family. Highly recommend, this house will not disappoint, and I"m very picky and OCD. :) Thank you owners for a wonderful stay!

Great spot on lake

Five adult married couples went for a weekend retreat to get away and relax. We had a great time and were very comfortable in this house. We especially enjoyed the fact that the dining table could sit all of us at one time as we often find rentals that sleep a large number often don’t have a dining table to support the same number. The dock was wonderful and had lots of room for all of us to sit down on it to enjoy the views. The owners were very prompt in communicating and very gracious. Thanks for opening up your house to us!

Memorial Day Weekend

WOW!!! The day we arrived, was cold, rainy and windy, making outdoor activities impossible. There were so many things to do indoors. We spent the entire first day playing Ping-Pong, Pool and foosball. This competitive family had tournaments all day. Additionally, we spent countless hours in the sunroom. The views are spectacular throughout the house. Day two was still too windy for water play, but the dock is the perfect size to accommodate a large family, and makes a great outdoor gathering spot. We hooked the MP3 player to your dock sound system, sprayed on some sunscreen and only went back to the house for meals. We spent good quality time fishing with our teenage kids... time we don't get back home in the real world. Even though the lake water was 64 degrees, we all jumped off the high platform, at least one time.... just to say we did it! We brought a boat and two jet skis with us, and your dock had more than enough room for those, without cramping the dock for the fishing!! We visit Lake gaston about three times every summer. This was the first time we stayed in your house, but I look forward to staying here again!! Of all the houses we have rented, (7 in the last two years), this was, by far, our favorite. Thank you again for sharing your retreat with us.

Wonderful vacation home

We frequently use VRBO for out of town family get-together. This was one of the nicest, best equipped, and most professionally run listings that we have encountered. Lake Gaston is a summer vacation spot, but for various reasons this was a good place for our family Christmas vacation. The house is beautiful, everything very clean and in good working order. Since we were there off-season, we loved having a pool table, foosball, electronic darts, and ping-pong available. We had excellent communication with the owners before and during the trip by both phone and email. There was ample room for our family to spread out - we weren't on top of each other. Two laundry rooms, two kitchens(one a simple galley kitchen with microwave only), two decks, plus an enclosed sun room --- it gave you a great feeling of spaciousness and relaxation. Since it was a Christmas stay and we were coming from out of town, the owners thoughtfully put up a Christmas tree and lights for us! That was really going above and beyond, in my opinion, and just shows how conscientious and caring they are. It is a dog friendly property, and our little dog was happy running around the beautiful lawn stretching down to the water. We took him to a nearby scenic park, built on a 19th century canal path, where there is a local historic park and and a very nice little museum - it was beautiful. There is a nice big screen tv downstairs in the big game room, and a good selection of movies, puzzles, and games. We were not able to take advantage of swimming, kayaks, etc because of the weather and time of year, so cannot comment, but the boat house, diving platform, etc were in excellent shape. There were bikes and helmets in the garage, plus a pogo stick. In addition, they have put in a lot of nice amenities for families with young children. There is a toddler bed with bedding, a crib, security gates if you would care to use them, a whole chest full of "Little Tykes" style toys, a Big Wheel, to make you littlest kids feel at home. For a beautiful family vacation spot, it can't be beat.

The house was better than advertised! Plenty of entertainment around the house as well as a roomy dock for swimming. Scott and Jason both were avaliable by phone for any questions we had. Their response to emails or by phone was very quick and provided answers to any questions we had. 16 were in our party and we all had an excellent experience to close out the summer on labor day weekend.

Amazing place

We had an amazing stay at this beautiful lakeside house on Lake Gaston! The location was perfect—right on the water with gorgeous views and easy access for swimming and boating. The home was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped, making it ideal for our family gathering. There was plenty of space for everyone to relax and enjoy both indoor and outdoor activities, and the peaceful lake setting made it even more special. We had a wonderful weekend! Great location and great home! Only issue was code didn’t work to get in house but called the owner and it was fixed in 2 minutes. Owners very responsive. Would rent here again for sure.

Why they chose this property

This house just seemed to have everything we needed. Not only does it sleep so many, but what this house had that nothing we saw ever did was a layout that accommodated large diverse groups. Kids have virtually their own living space for Pool, Ping Pong, even their own kitchen area. While the adults have space for easy living with the ability to survey all that's going on.

The location, simply put, is the best on the lake. It is close to everything, including dining, marinas, services, etc.

What makes this property unique

This house allows for incredible sunrises and sunsets from the wrap around deck or from the expansive dock. We make available a slip right next to the high dive! Great fishing including Gar, Bass, Catfish and the ever present Sunfish.
