I recently stayed at a beautiful house in Black Mountain, NC from September 21-26, 2026, and it was truly an amazing experience. The home was clean, well-stocked, and offered stunning mountain views that made every morning feel special. The living spaces were spacious and comfortable, perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring, and the games provided added a fun touch for our group. The host was responsive and is near by for any concerns or issues you may have - we did not have any as Mike made us feel well cared for. One of my favorite aspects was waking up to the serene mountain backdrop—it was breathtaking. The attention to detail in keeping the house tidy and fully equipped made our stay effortless and enjoyable. Overall, I highly recommend this property and proudly give it 5 out of 5 stars!

This property exceeded our expectations. Be prepared for an adventurous drive off of the state road, and then a gracious, well appointed home with very nice amenities. One of the nicest VRBO experiences we’ve had.

Wow what a cabin it’s everything you want while at the mountains and much more. Relaxing, quiet and very picturesque. My wife and I wanted to treat our grandchildren to a few days in the mountains, they range in ages from 14 to 2 and every day was a different adventure for them (city kids) - they loved it. Great property with gorgeous views!

Timber Ridge was a great mountain getaway for our family. Plenty to do on-site including short hikes, corn hole, and games. The cabin layout was perfect for family time and quiet time. The drive up to the cabin required navigating some steep gravel roads but our 2-wheel drive vehicle was up to the task! Close proximity to Black Mountain and Asheville was a plus! Would definitely stay again!

The home is not in the city, but located in the beautiful Blue Ridge mountains at 3,300 feet in elevation and fortunately the drive up is very safe and maintained on a regular basis. Two wheel drive works fine, unless it is snowing.

Beautiful house and location

The house is beautiful and located at the top of a mountain. You have to have 4wd to make it up to the house this time of year. The house distance to town is great. It offers many amenities and comfortable beds.

Mountain fun

This cabin is beautiful and was accurately described. Condition is like new. Location was great, close to Asheville and Chimney Rock. Property is lovely with stream and trails on site. Hot tub felt great. Wonderful views.

We really enjoyed the beauty and peace at Timber Ridge. Mornings and evenings were my favorite time on the very large veranda. The road in is a little tricky, but I think that is the price you pay for quiet a view. The house is beautiful and spacious! Black Mountain was a great little town with some great restaurants! And close enough to Asheville to explore as well! One suggestion would be a few dimmer switches (especially in the dining room) would really make things perfect!

Family Get Together

The house was great and perfect for 6 adults and 2 dogs. Mike was very responsive and very helpful. The mountain views were outstanding. Black Mountain is very nice small town and the proximity to Asheville was very convenient. Overall, we had a very enjoyable family get together!

Great getaway

Our family loved the cabin. It was very well designed and spacious. The kids (ages 1,2 and 10) loved the game room downstairs. The views are absolutely incredible. Our boys loved walking down the gravel road to the creek and tire swing. Our family will definitely be returning! Perfect and much needed escape from the city!
