Imagine waking up in the midst of Ocala's famous horse country, hearing the birds, watching nearby ponies, and having your coffee poolside, steps from the centuries-old oak tree. No neighbors. Your own parking space and walkway. This is a special hideaway for two, just 20 minutes from downtown Ocala and 30 from Gainesville and University of Florida. Architect designed, spiral staircase leads to spacious loft bedroom with queen bed, sitting area, and library; windows overlook horses, meadows, trees. Ground floor has glass walls on three sides with full-length drapes for complete privacy. open concept living/dining room with compact kitchenette is perfect for relaxing and meals. High speed internet, TV. Grassed dog yard is accessible from dining room, plus you can walk for miles on the surrounding streets and farm lanes. Perfect for relaxing and letting your worries slide away.

I was traveling to Florida for a long weekend of classes in Ocala, and am so glad I found this stay. I’d been to Ocala twice before for class and had some run ins with sketchy hotels and false advertising. In contrast, this stay was just as advertised - a quiet stay in a nice neighborhood. So many personal touches made this stay feel cozy. Their decor was so cute - just made me feel like I was staying at a friend’s house rather than some impersonal or generic flipped property. Everything was neat, clean, and easy to find. Hosts responded quickly to questions, and were respectful of my privacy while also very friendly. If I return to Ocala I’ll definitely be looking to stay here again if it’s available!

We came to celebrate my husband’s birthday. We lived in the pool. Lol. The pool is right outside your door. It was fabulous. The ranch was gorgeous. The horses beautiful. Max told us about The Yearling. We went there for dinner on my husband’s birthday. It was like visiting old Florida. The food was fabulous. The whole trip was very relaxing and stress free. I’d give it 100 stars if I could!!

The hosts were very responsive and easy to work with. The property and properties around are beautiful horse farms. The cottage was very cute and unique. The giant live oak next to cottage is breathtaking. We had a lovely time outside by the pool and taking a walk along the horse farms. Horses were gorgeous and follows us along on their side of fence. They were so interested in our little dog. She wasn't too sure about those big things. It was a nice mini adventure !

Best vacation ever! Everything was outstanding! Our hosts were so welcoming, felt like being home. The environment is so relaxing. Our home away from home had everything you needed and then some…just in case you forget something, it is probably there. Loved visiting with the horses and other critters. There is plenty to do and see in the surrounding area, plus lots of restaurants. Would not hesitate to come back…and hope to see you again!!

Peaceful Paradise

This is our second stay and each time has been amazing. Surrounded by beautiful pastures and friendly horses, grilling in the evenings and mimosas by the pool in the morning, we had everything we needed for a relaxing and enjoyable stay. Can’t wait to come back.
