We just love Fripp Island! We have been coming to Fripp for over twenty years, and all of our kids still love to spend time here throughout the year. Because it is a private island, and access is limited to owners and their guests, there is a feeling of security and safety. We have always felt comfortable allowing the children (as they were old enough) to go biking and walking, or to the various recreation areas without us having to "tag along". Even during the busiest weeks, a family or group can always find room on the beach to spread out and enjoy themselves without feeling crowded by others.
What makes this cottage unique
The Love Shack is in such a beautiful and convenient location on the Island. It is close to all of the activities, but away from the hustle and bustle of the main thoroughfare. Because it is a privately owned home, it is well loved and maintained. We value our guests, and strive to provide accommodations which folks will want to return to year after year! There is a lovely view of the golf course when one is relaxing on the screened -in porch or grilling on the patio. With vaulted ceilings, lots of windows, and a roomy, open concept main floor, the entire family can visit together comfortably. The kitchen is completely stocked with cooking vessels and utensils, as well as plenty of serving dishes, plates, bowls, glasses and cutlery. A full sized refrigerator, Stove and oven, and microwave, make food storage and preparation a breeze! The dining table easily seats six to eight, and there is a breakfast bar with stools for additional seating. We have a full sized washer and dryer for your use. The lovely screened-in back porch has a swing and rocking chairs for enjoying the warm salt air without being pestered by insects and mosquitos! There is ample parking for two vehicles and a golf cart. Bring your bikes! The island is very cycle friendly, with lots of scenic bike paths. There is room to store them under the porch. There is an outdoor shower, with hot and cold water, for rinsing sandy bodies before entering the cottage.
