About this property
CBD Boutique Gem where Luxury and History Meet
A modern and sophisticated apartment that is housed in an historic and heritage listed building. Centrally located in the CBD so you can take advantage of all that marvellous Melbourne has to offer. You can lounge on the spacious outdoor terrace and watch the bustling city go by. Alternatively enjoy the comforts of home in this generous apartment that has every convenience and is brimming with style.
The space Location, location, location - this apartment is amazing - in the heart of the city so there is EVERYTHING to keep you engaged. It is situated in the Paris end of town and is a two bedroom upmarket apartment that exceeds expectations.
You are 30 seconds from Chinatown, Her Majesty's and Comedy theatres, a SkyBus shuttle stop and the free tram stop.
You are in walking distance to the magnificent boutique shopping of Collins Street and a plethora of magnificent eateries, bars and cafes - an extensive recommendation list is provided in the compendium. Melbourne's magnificent sporting arenas like the MCG, Rod Laver Arena, AAMI stadium are a short stroll away. You can also hop onto the free tram network to explore Docklands and check out the Arts Centre and galleries.
The apartment itself is unique due to its over sized living zones, pristine bathroom, polished floorboards, intercom and European laundry. The bedrooms are large and stylishly appointed and luxury linen is used on the backcare range of mattress (Simmons Beautyrest on the QS and Kingsdown on the KS - no expense is spared on the comfort and support of the mattresses as I know how important a good nignt's sleep is!).
It has been creatively converted with a stylish Blanco kitchen complete with all the mod cons eg espresso coffee machine, microwave, dishwasher and electric cooking. The kitchen is fully equipped with cutlery, plates, glasses and pots and pans and also has a range of common cooking ingredients for use.
It has a generous open plan living where French doors spill onto the ample sized terrace. The lounge has a 3 and 2 seater suite and there is a large TV and unlimited wifi. The internal and external spacious areas are a rarity for CBD living. There is a split air conditioner unit which ensures cooling in summer and warmth in winter.
It is also lovely and private as there are only 11 apartments in the block and it is the only one on the first floor. There is no lift and self check in via access codes on both the entrance door and the apartment door. Carparking is NOT supplied standard with the apartment.
Architecturally it is a gem as it is heritage listed and built in 1870. It is a three storey stone-faced building of conservative classicism and is the earliest intact example of a London Chartered Bank in Melbourne. The apartment has exterior rusticated stonework and semi circle arch windows. The size of the rooms and the ceilings and the thickness of the walls make it lovely and warm in winter and cool in summer.
It is a cosy and relatively quiet hideaway from the hub and bub of the city urban landscape outside and the perfect base to explore all that Melbourne CBD has to offer
