Our stay was relaxing and carefree. While we spent the majority of our stay outside exploring and sitting around the campfire, the inside of the cottage was clean, comfortable perfectly set up. Absolutely no complaints and we plan to stay there again!
The cottage is very clean and well maintained. The property is beautiful, secluded and just what we were looking for to celebrate our anniversary. We highly recommend the Yore Cottage.
Yore Cottage was the perfect place to relax and unwind. It is set in a beautiful and private location with a great fishing pond. The cottage was so clean with everything we needed. Thanks for a wonderful stay!
Cabin was as described in listing. We really enjoyed this quiet setting. Could hear the sounds of nature. Nice and dark at night so could see the stars. Very nice fire pit and even included free firewood. Loved the screened deck. Owners quick to answer questions.

My two best friends and I stayed here this weekend for a hiking trip and had a blast! The property is beautiful, out of the way, well cared for, and exactly what we were looking for!!!
hard to imagine a more relaxing weekend and I desperately needed it. I am looking forward to going back and I might bring my son next time. the host was helpful and responsive, the cabin was clean and cozy.
This is a sweet little cabin! Its exactly as the picture's show!! Very Very comfortable bed and blankets. It has everything you would need to get away from city life!! The pond was amazing!! We caught so many fish!! The pond had turtles and frogs!! The land is very well taken care of!! Not far to Cambridge and Salt Fork State Park!!
We had the best weekend staying yore cottage. We cooked, we fished, we had fires in the fire pit. Wood was provided. Everything was clean. The place was stocked with essentials. This was the perfect weekend getaway. Me and the misses will definitely be going back. We rent a lot on Vrbo just to get away for the weekend. We keep trying new places. After renting this place, this is our only get away.
Absolutely a slice of heaven. Quietly nestled in the woods with plenty of wildlife around. I wish i would have brought my fishing pole as the fish were jumping like crazy. Will definitely be returning when we need a break from the city life. Tim was awesome with communication and prompt.
Thank you
We had such a wonderful time at the Yore cabin! Property was so peaceful, loved the cabin, sat out by the fire pit and enjoyed watching the stars. The pond on the property had great fishing 🎣 I caught and released plenty of fish! The host provided everything we needed for an awesome weekend! Highly recommend this beautiful place, we are already thinking about a return visit!!! 5 stars
My brother and I have been doing an annual camping trip for years, and this may be our annual spot now! Clean, well-kept, and a fishing pond steps from our door! When we realized the sleeper sofa had no linens, Tim was immediately responsive and helped solve the issue. Loved the quiet and privacy, the Adirondack chairs, and firepit and stock of firewood. We'll be back.
When we arrived we were impressed how quiet and secluded the property was. The cottage was very quaint and clean. We fished in the stocked pond and sat out on the dock and enjoyed the stars. I walked the trails and enjoyed listening to the birds and chipmunks play in the leaves. I would recommend this cottage to anyone who would like to enjoy peaceful wooded setting.
Inside the cottage everything was very clean and tidy. The queen bed was very comfortable. The full size refrigerator was very clean and useful since we brought groceries and enjoyed cooking in the kitchen. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed.

There are no words to describe the natural beauty of this setting, in the woods, on a pond in the heart of nature. The cabin and grounds are meticulously kept and stocked with everything you might need. The fire pit was already filled with kindling and there was plenty of firewood provided. The grill came equipped with coals and kindling. It was magical - we look forward to returning.

Outdoor Lovers Retreat
My husband, 13 month old and I stayed the weekend at Yore Cottage. It was so peaceful, beautiful and everything (and more) we needed! The bedroom fit our pack n' play and there was plenty of space in the living area and on the screened-in porch. We loved walking the grounds, hiking the Salt Fork trails near by, getting ice cream and listening to the roosters! Tim was very kind, accommodating and quick to respond. There were many unexpected, thoughtful amenities and all the appliances were very nice and up to date! We had a great weekend and can't wait to come back!
Very challenging to get into. After that, a clean lovely place.

My wife and I are in our 50s we run the vrbo on our own and with pride provide all maintenance and cleaning. We always welcome suggestions to make your stay the best we can.
Why they chose this property
Our family has vacationed at the Salt Fork state park for 30+ years. Although we enjoy the amenities of the park lodging options, we always longed for a place of our own with more solitude than the park accommodation and other nearby cluster cabins could provide. We are very proud of our renovated country cottage and know you will find as much enjoyment in the accommodations as we do.
What makes this property unique
Many competing rentals have several to a dozen properties and not much privacy, we have one very private cottage on a 15-acre wooded property with stocked fishing pond. We do not charge a cleaning fee or tax.
