Nice Quiet Getaway

We spent a few days at this property in the middle of September. The weather was beautiful and allowed us to explore Mackinaw Island, the Soo Locks, and a few other sights. Our kids also enjoyed swimming in the lake, which was shallow and sandy, allowing even our younger children to enjoy the water safely. Overall a great place with lots of room and very quite and easy to get to. Thank you!

An Eagle's Nest retreat

Our crew wanted to get together so the cousins could spend the holiday together, and the adults wanted to do the Labor Day bridge walk. Eagle's Nest was the perfect escape from our realities and the perfect place for young cousins to make memories together. Thank you for sharing such a gem!

Superb Vacation at Eagles Nest

Great home for a U.P. family vacation. Excellent lake with shallow swimming and recreation for young kids (and awesome sunsets). Nice personal touches by owners. Short distances to Mackinac Island and Lake Michigan Beach off Route 2. We took nice side trips to Tahquamenon Falls and a Manistique River canoe trip (where we did not see another soul for 10 miles). One of our favorite home rentals ever.

Outstanding!!

Can't find enough words to say how much we enjoyed this cabin. It's large, clean, well-kept, quiet location, huge deck overlooking a beautiful view of the lake. Close to St. Ignace and Mackinac City. We truly enjoyed Dennis and Lori's hospitality and hope to return soon. Definitely 5 stars!! Jim & Barb Holton Orland Park, IL.

Beautiful spacious log cabin!

We had a great time during our one week stay in this beautiful spacious cabin. The property was very clean and everything was very well organized. Having access to the lake with a canoe and paddle boat made our trip that much more enjoyable. No detail was left out of the instructions we received prior to our stay and we would highly recommend this wonderful cabin to others. Thank you Dennis for everything!

Great weekend away, beautiful home

We rented this home for a long weekend away with extended family and it was great. The home has lots of space to relax, has everything you need to entertain including lots of movies and games, fully equipped kitchen, and comfortable beds. Check in and check was super easy and the owners were quick to respond to any questions. The home had Great Lake access and lots of outdoor equipment to use. I recommend this property for a nice relaxing vacation close enough to town for all your needs, but far enough away to be quiet and relaxing.

Very nice, clean home on Lake Brevort

The house was just as pictured. Everything we needed was provided and then some. We couldn't spend as much time there as we would have liked because of an event in St. Ignace that we were involved in. It was a little out of the way and very hard to find in the dark. If you want a family vacation in a nice big cabin on a lake this is your place!

Great home base for Great Turtle Run!!

We planned a weekend up North for the Great Turtle Run on Mackinaw Island and wanted some place off island to stay that was different, warm and cozy. This cabin was perfect. We were a mixed group with parts of three families and four runners among us. We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. The setting was beautiful, the beds so comfy and plenty of space for us all to spread out. Just wish we had more time there to enjoy the property and the lake. Highly recommend for any getaway!! Thanks so much!!

Fantastic Stay!

The property is cozy, well kept and clean! There is not a detail the owners haven't thought of. The lake is peaceful and sandy. The location is secluded. There are a few neighbors that are relatively close, but not invasive with lots of trees in between the properties. Dennis was a great host and quick in response with the one question we had. We've stayed at a lot of great rentals over the years, and this is the only one we would, and probably will, rent again!! My only suggestion.....a knife sharpener for the knife block.

This is the cabin you want to rent!

I cannot say enough great things about this rental! The cabin itself is beautiful, tastefully decorated and stocked with everything you need to be comfortable. The lot is well groomed, somewhat private, with everything you need to enjoy the outdoors! Our family of 5 spent a week here. During the day our 3 kids, ages 2, 10 & 12 had a GREAT time playing in the water, using the toys and kayaks. In the evenings we played games, watched movies, and sat by the fire. The owners really did think of everything here. They were also extremely helpful & responsive during our stay. I highly recommend!!

Cozy log cabin

Nice cozy cabin on large lake. Lots of options for both indoor and outdoor activities, summer and winter Great for family fun time or time with friends. Many nice amenities to make it easy to "just move in". Depending on government "lockdown" rules, restaurant, tourist and shopping options may be very limited or non existent. Clean, comfy. Wi-fi a bit weak. Mobile limited.

Nice Nice Nice ... You won't be sorry with this one.

We are three senior couples who have been making "Fall Trips" together for the last 20-some years. We travel all over, somewhere different every year. So we've been to and seen a lot of rentals. Most are nice, but this one is above average even on the nice end. Not sure we've ever stayed at one so well stocked with just about anything you could possibly need or want. Very large rooms. SO QUIET. A big plus. Thanks Dennis & Lori, we really enjoyed your cabin.

The log house was pristine! Equipped with absolutely everything you might want!

Lovely week at Brevort lake. This property supplied everything a vacationer would need for the water!! Very quiet lake. Shallow at points so be careful if you are navigating a boat. Great location. Within a few hours of Pictured Rocks and 15 minutes from Mackinac ferries! We had a very nice week. The only thing I would caution is that there are no restaurants or places to get a sandwich closer than 15-20 minutes away in St. Ignace. So be prepared to cook, which I wasn't. You couldn't ask for a better home to rent. Great host for sure!! Next time I'll have to stock up on groceries.

Amazing Cabin!!

We stayed at the cabin for a week long family vacation! The home was clean and the kitchen had every item you could imagine. Dennis and Linda were very prompt when asking questions before and during the stay. We had a problem with the grill and Dennis had it taken care of the following day. The beach area was perfect for young children as the water is extremely shallow. We brought our jet skis and were able to attach them to the dock. The week was very memorable and we look forward to coming back. The only thing down side was that the mosquitos were horrible. I would recommend having the property sprayed. The neighbors had their property sprayed early in the week and that did help a little. Overall, I would recommend this cabin for any family looking to enjoy a peaceful time away on a lake!

My family has rented this home several times; each and every time we visited it was a memorable family experience. Vividly I can picture my children jumping off the dock for a swim or sitting in a boat fishing with my dad. When the time came in our lives to purchase our own lake home we were very fortunate to purchase Eagles Nest. Our intent is to make each and every guest feel as if they were truly a guest in our home. We intend to provide a warm and inviting atmosphere with plenty of amenities to make your visit perfect. We want each guest to have there own memories of a great vacation.

Why they chose this property

There are so many things to see and do in this area. Pictured rocks, Tahquemenon Falls, Whitefish Point, Mackinaw Island, Thunder Falls water park, casino, snowmobiling, skiing, Lake Michigan. Most of all, I love the lake. Brevort Lake is an all sports lake with great fishing, boating and touring.

What makes this property unique

Whether sitting on the deck in the morning and drinking coffee or in front of the fireplace in the evening this home is all about relaxation. Watch as the bald eagle often flies over, ducks come in for visits, we see plenty of deer and at night listen for the call of the loons on the lake.. The house is decorated for a comfortable feel to all who visit. When trails are open you can can ride a snowmobile or ATV through hundreds of miles of trails. Take the loop ride around the lake to 123, go to Trout lake for lunch and head back through the woods to Brevort Lake Campground and back home.
