We had a great time visiting family for the 4th and would recommend the property to anyone! Check in was easy and the place was in close proximity to town and all the 4th of July festivities. The place also had enough space for all of us and we really enjoyed our stay.
Our travel plans changed last minute and we were glad to find this place to stay that was convenient to so much we wanted to do in the UP. It was just a few minutes to groceries and restaurants and also provided us with great access to the National Lakeshore. The property is huge with lots of space for the dogs and privacy. Beds were comfortable and the rooms were very spacious. Thank you for letting us use your home!
Would recommend to friends. A little out of the way from restaurants or shopping (10-15) but we really the quiet!

This place was probably 5 stars a few years ago and could be again with just a little attention. Would love to come back if a few improvements are made. The couch is completely shot. Just take a seat over the fold out bed. You sink in probably 2ft. The water heater is full of sediment. Lots of bubbling noise, no longer efficient and lacks hot water capacity because of it. Needs to be flushed or probably just replaced. The side door mat has so much mold on it that its gross to walk on. Please just toss it. Better to walk on the concrete. We also felt like the place was due for a really good cleaning. Some of the glasses on the top self had dust and flies in them. We set something ontop of fridge and couldn't believe the dust. House has a great layout and plenty of space. Loved the kitchen, the large dining table and large coffee table. Backyard was great but had 2ft weeds when we arrived. Once mowed a few days later it was great.
Great location to stay for our 8 person snowmobile trip. We have used this location multiple times and it works out great for our needs!

Just Ok
Property showed photos of outdoor furniture that wasn’t available upon arrival. House smelled wet towards the middle of our stay. There seems to be an issue with the exhaust on the hot water heater creating a sound that sounded like fire works going off all night. The dishwasher didn’t work upon arrival so the dishes inside were dirty. We finally found the breaker box and reset the breaker to get it to work. The inside of the house seemed to be infested with mosquitoes and we were bit all night long in our sleep. The couch should be retired. Two of the seats are like sitting directly on the floor. For the cost of this place I would have thought it would be of nicer quality.
We really enjoyed this house. Very warm and inviting. Close to the hiking and kayaking we planned. Kitchen had all the tools we needed for some great meals. Definately recommend
Pros: Very spacious home. Has central a/c. It works well. Mudroom is nice. DW works well. Large wood dining table seats 8. One bathroom is updated. Beds for our 3 couples to sleep comfortably. TV worked well. We could sign into our Direct TV account easily.Cons: Pans are small & low quality. For a place that sleeps 12 you need to be able to cook larger quantities. Griddle cord was there but no griddle. Not enough TP for a place that sleeps so many & it was VERY thin/low quality. The only can opener there does not work. We had to get a tool from the car to open cans to make our dinner. The hot water heater is very noisy. The house smelled wet, especially towards the back bedroom. Back bedroom bathroom shower and toilet are not good. Very small shower, low/old toilet. TP holder barely attached to wall. The couch is in poor condition & broken. It needs to be replaced. The coffee maker takes 30-40 minutes to brew a full pot. The water in the fridge door comes out EXTREMELY SLOW & the filter light is on. The house is showing signs of wear and tear and lack of attention to upkeep. Some updates & repairs are needed. The listing doesn't say there is central a/c, dish soap, DW pods, hand soaps, PT or TP but these items were there. Communication with the host was ok, not great. I did not get a response when I asked why the date for the second payment changed after booking. Another response took 2 days. Overall a decent place to stay but I probably wouldn't book again for that price.
This place is fantastic! Clean and very spacious, peaceful and quiet location while still close to town and attractions, and the kids loved it too! Will definitely be staying again next time we come up north!
The place was perfect for snowmobiling. Unfortunately winter decided not to fully participate. Would definitely stay again plenty of room good parking close to trails.
