This amazing and completely refurbished home is situated on a stunningly beautiful one-acre, gated OCEANFRONT estate property, right in the middle of magical Hanalei Bay. It is, in fact, one of the ONLY vacation rental cottages on beachfront property to be found anywhere on central Hanalei Bay. Air conditioning has been provided in both bedrooms for extra comfort. Private, direct access to the beach, which is only 150 feet from your doorstep. Hanalei Town is less than two blocks away- an easy walk for dining and shopping. Also enjoy spectacular views of our beautiful mountains from the cottage living area and screened-in patio. World-famous North Shore Napali Coast hiking trails are accessed 15 minutes from Hanalei. Boat and Kayak excursions also depart right from the Bay.

Truly amazing stay in paradise. The cottage was spotless, kitchen had everything we could want plus a great water filtration system so no need to get bottled water. Outdoor shower was fantastic, we never used the inside one. Everything we wanted for a beach day was provided. The owners Smoky and Kim were gracious and kind, true ambassadors of the aloha spirit. It is hard to convey how incredible it is to get to stay in this stunning location, not worry about parking, and just be surrounded by the mesmerizing views from Hanalei Bay. We are very grateful that Smoky and Kim have made this available for others to experience a week in paradise as we did. Mahalo...

Everything was lovely about the location and the host, however it was not clear to me that this is a guest cottage of a large house sitting right in front of the cottage. You walk by the residents when you goto the beach and back, and that yard is not really usable unless you want to do so while people are sitting on the porch in front of you.But great location and great solution for parking, as long as you are ok with the lack of privacy.

Wonderful cottage, perfect beach, and cozy community. The cottage is perfect for 4, quiet and clean, and appointed with nearly everything you could want or need for a great vacation. Ideally located steps from a perfect beach and within a few blocks walking distance to shops and restaurants. Smoky and Kim were wonderful and generous hosts. Such a magical place.

It is obvious from the moment you book this rental that the hosts genuinely care about you having a great trip and being comfortable in their cottage. My husband and I travel quite a bit all over the world and I can honestly say we have never had hosts as nice and attentive as Kim and Smokey nor a place so well equipped. The information they sent us before we arrived was great for planning our days and they were available for questions during our stay.The cottage was spacious, beautiful, immaculate, only a few steps from the beautiful beach, and had any and everything you could possibly need on an island vacation. Lots of windows overlooking beautiful landscaping, was like being outside all the time. The large porch with a couch, table, and chairs was a great place to hang out. Beach umbrellas, chairs, towels, floats, etc. were there for our use, which we enjoyed very much. The kitchen is outfitted as well as mine at home, also has a washer and dryer and the bedrooms/closets have luggage racks, lots of drawers, and many hangars so you can unpack. There were also drying racks/hooks on the porch for your wet stuff. There are good restaurants for breakfast/lunch/dinner a very short walk from the cottage, which was a huge plus for us. We did have a car, but being able to walk to dinner was great after an active day.

Magical Hanalei

We have stayed in Kauai many times before, but always in a condo or resort. I cannot stress enough how much better this was, walking distance to both downtown and 150 feet to the beach. Cannot wait to come back!

A gem in Hanalei

Smoky and Kim's cottage is a gem in Hanalei Bay! The location is excellent. It is close to the beach and a short walk to town. The cottage was very clean and included amenities that made our stay comfortable. My kids loved the outdoor shower! It was a perfect location for my family to stay during our Kauai vacation.

My family had the most amazing time at this cottage. The owners were very communicative and responsive to anything we needed, which wasn’t much. The kitchen was well stocked. The house was very clean. It was lovely to be steps from the beach and a few blocks from everything in town. Not only do we enjoy our days on the beach, but also the sunset walks, and also the nighttime sky. We’ve usually stayed in condos around the Princeville area, but staying on the beach on Hannalei Bay was a dream come true! Thanks Kim and Smoky, for sharing you’re beautiful property with us!
