About this property

Spacious Innsbrook Chalet Ideal for Quiet Weekends at the Lake

This 3 bedroom, 2 bath chalet is one of the most unique properties at Innsbrook. The interior is very comfortable and perfect for one or two families to share. Beautiful cedar walls and ceiling, rustic wood burning fireplace and absolutely breathtaking views of Lake Grendel. The master bedroom is on the main floor with lake views from the queen size bed. The second floor has a spacious loft, where you'll find a pull out futon that sleeps two. Another queen bed is in the 2nd bedroom. The 3rd bedrooms is a custom "bunk room", with a total of 9 bunk beds, all twin size. There's also an extra twin mattress conveniently stored as a trundle under one of the triple bunks.

Outside, the screened-in porch and large deck feel like extra rooms of the house. The screened-in porch has a large dining table and sectional couch. The deck has two tables with enough seating for 10 very comfortably. The beach is steps away from the deck and sits between the bocce court on one side of the yard and a stone fire pit on the other. One of the biggest reasons we chose this house, though, was the huge grassy playing field that is ideal for kickball games or late night Capture the Flag. We have a private dock for fishing, 3 large and 2 small kayaks and a paddle board available to guests..

Great Tlace on the Smaller Lake

We spent 3 nights at this location and had a great time. This was our fourth visit to Innsbrook, but first to this Chalet. This Chalet is easily the best stocked location we have ever stayed in. Between the kayaks, outdoor activities, indoor games, etc... there was never a dull moment for the 4 of us.

Great Place

What a great place! We had our family with four teens / tweens stay for a long weekend. The Chalet itself was roomy and easily accommodated all of us. It was just as pictured. Everything else outside was equally good - dock, beach, kayaks, and fire pit for S’mores. We will definitely want to rent again.

Fall Weekend / 2023

The location of the cabin is perfect, set back on a private lake with your own beach, fire pit area and all of the paddle boards & kayaks needed for water fun. The four seasons room is perfectly perched on the side off the family room with views of the lake, fall foliage & connected to the back deck. We had a wonderful stay and looking forward to the next visit!

Girls weekend

This place is beautiful and so clean! It really feels like you are on a retreat from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. We would book this place again in a heartbeat!! Loved it! Also, the bunk room would be so great with kids(and adults). The linens were extremely soft and mattresses were all new and amazing. Excellent property!!

Wonderful Family Vacation at Innsbrook

We were looking for a quick weekend away before the kids started school. This place fit the ticket. We've stayed at Innsbrook twice before, this rental had the nicest property and lake views. The home is very well stocked with almost everything you could need (ex. hair dryer, magnification mirror, beach towels, etc.). There were also plenty of games and toys to entertain the kids. There was a great sand beach, and lots of kayaks and water toys. Overall a great vacation!

Amazing and well supplied Innsbrook rental.

We feel like we found a little gem of an escape near home! This chalet was super clean and had plenty of room for us to spread out. We spent most of our days/evenings on the screened porch, around the fire pit or on the amazing beach just steps off the deck! There were plenty of beach toys for the kids (and adults) and the kitchen was well stocked with cookware, etc. Owner was very responsive via text and super easy to deal with. We'll be back!

Wonderful Innsbrook Weekend

We loved the lakefront chalet! The kayaks and Lilly pad were great hits with our 3 teenagers! The chalet was wonderfully equipped and the beds were all very comfortable! Will definitely recommend to other family/friends looking to stay at Innsbrook. Just to note - Our only challenge of the weekend was our flight was delayed and we arrived after dark. Luckily we had relatives that live in Innsbrook and could help us navigate our way! I recommend getting there in daylight if not familiar with the area!

Beautiful Chalet

This is our 8th year renting a property at Innsbrook. We like to try out new ones - always looking for the one that is perfect for me and my extended family. This chalet is just beautiful. The pictures really do not do it justice. The owner is great to work with. The beds are comfy. The grounds are extremely well maintained and manicured. The kitchen is big enough for three adults to be working in it at the same time. The only drawback (and this is a personal thing) - we wished there were more pots and pans. But we managed to make it work. Other than that - the kitchen is well stocked - lots of extras. The kids and adults enjoyed the five kayaks that are available for use. We even looked up the rules for boce ball (no doubt I have misspelled that) and played a couple of rounds of that. The sandy beach is perfect - goes right out to the water and our two five year old boys loved playing in the sand making castles and moats. We had a great time and hope to be able to return next year. Thank you, John, for opening this chalet up for our use. It is lovely!

Everything was great and this place is incredible. Only one small thing was the initial directions need to be a bit more clear as to where you need to go first to get parking pass and then how to get to the location. It’s two totally different gates. Loved it here and it is the best well stock location I have ever stays at.

My Family which consists of 3 Adult children and their spouses spent a long weekend celebrating my 60th bday. This property was TRUE to its photo. Everything was well kepted, clean, easy to access and cozy with a nice homey feel. We will rent definitely rent again!

Wonderful Chalet

My family of 4 stayed at this amazing property with another family of 4 and we had the best time ever!! Kids and Adults were so entertained with the lake amenities, flat grassy area to play ball on and we set up our bags board on the bocce ball court. The chalet has everything you’d need and we also really enjoyed playing some of the games that the house provided. I cannot wait to stay at this Chalet again!!

FANTASTIC WATER "TOYS"

We had a great time! This is a wonderful property! One of our "kids" and his wife have two children, ages 23 months and 3 months. There are two bedrooms with queen-sized beds and one bunk room with about 8 or 9 bunk beds. My son and his wife wanted to separate their daughters, so that one wouldn't wake up the other one. They took the first floor bedroom and had one porta-crib in with them and put the other porta-crib in the downstairs bathroom. Then, our daughter and her husband and two older children all slept in the bunk room. Not ideal, but it worked out ok. The outdoor "toys" were FANTASTIC!!! About 5 adult kayaks and at least 2 child kayaks; plus paddle boards and much more. Our youngest grandchildren played on the nice sand beach non-stop, while the older ones enjoyed the water sports. A great place overall and would stay there again. Thank you!!! Vicki L.

Relaxing Lake House

This is a great lake house in a good location in Innsbrook. Grendel is a good size lake and this area is a bit more “wild” still. Owners really take care of their house and it is the best location we’ve stayed at in Innsbrook. Good fishing, good private beach, plenty of kayaks and paddle boards for the lake.

Perfect place for families!

Between the beach and the bunk beds room, I'm not sure which was our little kids' favorite part about staying at this amazing Innsbrook property. We stayed during the week and the lake was extremely calm and relaxing. The house has everything for a young family. Hope to we can come back another time!

Great Lake house

This is the 3rd lake house we’ve stayed at this summer at Innsbrook, and while all were great, the outdoor area at this house made it our favorite. The lake is a few steps from the house, Grendel lake is clean, deep, and has a sandy bottom by the house. We spent every day swimming, on boats, fishing, and the kids especially enjoyed the beach area.

Great for families! Fantastic beach!

A group of 6 adults and 5 children (aged 1 to 6 years) had a blast at the cabin! The beach is perfect for playing in the sand, and the lake was perfect for swimming. Even the kids felt comfortable taking the kid-sized kayaks around the small island in the middle of the lake. There were plentiful sand toys and water accessories at the lake. Fishing was good, too- caught a large catfish with a small piece of hot dog the very first day! We will be back next summer!!

Wonderful property!!

Wonderful property!!!! Gorgeous home, beautiful lake!! It had everything we could have wanted. So clean. Beautiful and cozy decor. A wonderful screened in porch! Lake access could not have been more perfect. So many great lake toys to use- lily pad, kayaks, paddle boards, rafts- my teenagers loved it! We will definitely be renting again!!

Perfect family getaway!

We loved our stay! Everything about this chalet was amazing. We were able to spend our days on the dock and in the water, and our evenings on the deck and screened-in porch. Perfect size for everyone to be able to hang out together, but also have a little space. And the Jacksons have thought of everything, from beach chairs to rafts to towels to anything you could possibly need in the kitchen. Highly recommend!

Perfect family weekend

We had a wonderful weekend at the Jackson chalet!! We were blown away by the setting, the amenities, and cleanliness and all of the sweet touches! There was so much to do and everything was easy. Our kids had a blast on the kayaks and the lake is the perfect size. We do so much swimming, fishing, kayaking, paddle boarding we are worn out! I can’t accurately describe how nice the house is and how well it flowed to the outdoor spaces. Innsbrook is one of our favorite getaways and now we have a favorite property! Thank you so much, John and Katie. You thought of everything and we are lucky we got to enjoy it!

We are a family of 9 from St. Louis, with 7 kids that range from 4-18 years old. Our interests are as varied as our ages. We love Innsbrook because there really is something for everyone. Our 4-7 year olds love to play in the sand and go to the stables to watch the horses. Our 10 year old likes trail rides on horseback, our bocce court and campfires with cousins. The 13 year old likes to fish, play golf and pickle ball with dad and explore the trails. The big kids (16, 16 and 18) like to relax, play board games till all hours and sleep as late as possible. Mom and dad's favorite thing is everyone being together- and getting away from the hectic day to day to the unbelievably slow pace of things ~ definitely "Innsbrook pace".

Why they chose this property

Our family purchased this chalet for one reason - to spend time together. It's large enough for us to enjoy with cousins or to share with another family for a weekend or more. Since we live in an old house full time, we love the fact that this chalet is newer so that when we are away, we don't have to worry about 'old house stuff'.

What makes this property unique

It's a unique property because there are so many things to do right at the house. We have a huge flat yard area for football games or playing frisbee. A family of deer feed up there a couple times a day. We all love to have a bocce game or get an outdoor fire going during the evenings. There are hiking trails in the immediate area and the proximity to the big lake (Alpine) is fantastic. Innsbrook is known for hidden treasures and hideaways and we loved this house from the moment we saw it because it was impossible to match.
