Authentic Barbadian village life surrounds the Villa. The tranquil Reeds Bay is perfect for swimming and relaxing and is just a 5 minutes walk away. Go North towards Speightstown and you will find beach bars, restaurants, water sports and swimming with turtles.

This spacious self contained accommodation has all you need to make that family holiday a most memorable one. Fully fitted kitchen with own washer, electric stove and granite counters. Large comfortable bedroom space with open balconies and en-suite bathrooms. Air conditioning is available in bedrooms for those warm nights. Separate house and beach towels are provided. Take advantage of the luxurious pool, lush garden, dine on a patio while the sun sets and feel the fresh air as the easterly winds blow. Parking is available for 4 cars at the front of the property.

Baird’s Delight

My family stayed at the Baird’s View from 13-20th November 2024. We were very pleasantly surprised to see that the villa looked exactly like it did in the photos if not better.  Baird’s View was very spacious & very clean. All areas of the villa were lovely, air conditioning in the bedrooms, a great kitchen space with full laundry amenities and a great outside space with pool. It was great having use of a washer and dryer.  The villa is located within 5min downhill walk to a beautiful beach and bus stops but remember the walk back is uphill so some may find hiring a car appropriate.  Shops, bars & restaurants approx 10-15 min drive either to Holetown or Speighstown. John the House Manager was easy to communicate with and Simone the housekeeper couldn’t do enough to make our stay as enjoyable as possible & acted on any questions promptly. We experienced an issue in one of the bathrooms and as soon I made her aware she was on it and accommodated our schedule to provide a fix.  I would definitely recommend & book to stay at Baird’s View again.

Very spacious luxury villa.

Fantastic accommodation with more than enough space for 8. Fully equipped kitchen and 3 balconies. The pool is fabulous and gets sun all day. Strongly recommended

Lovely stay

John was very helpful and Simone was lovely. We had a lovely trip. The pool could have been cleaned mid holiday and some of the Villa requires an update, however plenty of positives (location, air con, size of house / rooms, view from the balcony) and great watching the monkeys eating their mangoes.

Barbados 2024

We had a lovely 2-week stay at the villa. It was nice to stay in a residential area as we have mainly stayed in resorts previously. The villa was perfect for us. Plenty of space for a family consisting of 5 adults and a teenager. Outdoor space was good. Beach close by. Would stay again. Barbados is our favourite holiday destination. John was really helpful, did some shopping for us before we arrived and responded to any questions quickly.

We had a good time for the 2 weeks we spent there. The villa was nice and very spacious. No bad or small bedrooms. The beach a couple of minutes walk away was lovely. Not too many people on it. The property manager was helpful when we called him. No issues with anything.

We fully enjoyed the villa. A great place to come together as an extended family.

Each spacious bedroom having a shower room is perfect. The beds were comfy. The washing machine and dryer were very useful. There were enough towels and bedding for all of us. There was enough equipment in the kitchen for us to get by. It was easy to keep clean bring tiled throughout. The covered terrace was a perfect place for us to eat even when it rained. The safety gate to the pool area from the house worked well. We loved the visits of the local green monkeys. The manager, John, was very helpful.

Great Villa

Baird's View Villa is located in a local community where the people are friendly. The villa was very spacious for our group of 7 with plenty room for everyone. The bedrooms are air condition with added fans and good sizes, the beds are so comfortable. There are plenty of bed sheets , house and beach towels. The kitchen is spacious with all the amenities,plenty of cutlery,glasses and plates. Only the fridge wasn't a ice making one,but that wasn't a problem because we made ice in the containers. Could do with a few more cooking pots. The outside is spacious, the upstairs balcony has a nice view of the sea. Now the pool was to die for ,to me the water was always warm. At the bottom of Baird's Road there is John Moore's Bar to the left and Thunder Bay Beach to the right. Also turning right it will take you to Speightstown where you will find surpermakets, shops and places to eat. Also turning left it will take you to Limegrove shopping centre, Massey supermarket and then on to Bridgetown to capital of Barbados. If you don't have a car there are plenty of buses to take where you want to go. Simone the house keeper and John the property manger were nice, helpful and polite. Simone comes in once a week and John is only a phone or message away if anything goes wrong. We didn't have gas for the bbq and John was there with a full bottle. We didn't have any problems as everything was perfect, and there is even a security system. I would recommend this villa if you have a large or small party of people. PS. There was a black chicken that always comes on the patio and have a poop so be careful where you step in the mornings. I will miss that chicken . Sandra UK

Fantastic family of ten holiday

We brought our family with us 3 daughters and husbands and our two granddaughters. We all had an amazing time. We all loved the villa which is in such a convenient location. We hired 3 cars so each family had their independence to travel and do what they wanted. My granddaughters loved the pool in fact jessica aged 6 learnt to swim in it. Lovely to see their confidence grow in the water over the two weeks. The villa was a lovely size for all of us and we enjoyed some evenings on the verandah using the barbecue. Simone the housekeeper was a lovely person as was John the manager...both very helpful. Thunder Bay was 5 minute walk away and the fish market down the road very useful. The whole family enjoyed the island and visited various locations..we've been before so didn't need to do as much this time. Think this time we spent more time in Speightstown with the locals and the lovely beaches. Missing the whistling frogs at night and the local stray chickens..as well as visits from the monkeys. We all hope to be back next year.

Beautiful property

We had the most amazing 17 nights at Bairds view. The beach is at the bottom of the road (thunder bay) with 2 beach bars. Everything from beginning to end was fantastic. Hope to return soon .

Great stay

Lovely villa. Clean and spacious. Four large bedrooms (3 double, 1 twin) plus a decent pull out bed that can be used. We went with family including children and a baby. Large well equipped kitchen. Great pool. Location is a few minutes walk to the beach (about 300m down the hill) with three beach bars within a five minute walk. (We loved the one on the beach just past Thunder Bay). Villa is located in a residential area but this should not put you off as the locals are very friendly. Good size covered outdoor seating area with large bbq. Large balcony overlooking the pool off the two main bedrooms. John - the host - is very responsive and always happy to help.

Fantastic property in a great location

This was our second time staying at Baird's and it won't be our last ! It is a lovely spacious house with all of the amenities that anyone will need. 4 spacious bedrooms with AC and en-suite. Nice living area with great outdoor dining and chilling area. Amazing pool. Located a 5 minute walk from Reeds bay where there is a beautiful beach, great swimming, amazing sunsets and a lovely little beach bar (Google - "Thunder Bay beach bar"). (Note - if you want to be in the south coast tourist areas of Ositins, St. Lawrence Gap etc. then this is not the property for you as it is about a 30 - 40 minute drive away) Communication with the owner and John (the property manager) was quick and always helpful. All in all an amazing house in a great location - thoroughly recommend and we'll be back again

Perfect location for a relaxing family holiday

We booked Baird’s view villa because it accommodates 9 people and was an approved quarantine villa on the west coast. Luckily we did not need to quarantine when we arrived but it would have been ok as the pool and terrace is large enough. There are no restaurants in walking distance. If you have a car or get in a taxi you can find several of them. The Sea Shed is few miles up north or The Tides down south. Both are highly recommended. Bedrooms seem bigger on the photos but they are still comfortable for two people. With the extra folding beds in the family room was a bit crowded but it was still ok. We read that the neighbours can be noisy but we did not find them loud at all. In our opinion the neighbourhood is very quiet and the people were friendly. Cockerels are noisy though but they did not bother us at all. Occasionally they turn up in the garden. Next door neighbour sells beer that was handy on one occasion as a car is necessary to go to a shop. We were relying on pre-booked taxi due to the size of our family and a trip can be pricey if you want to go to the nearest Massy shop. They do deliver but you need to pre-book it usually in 2-3 days in advance which requires a lot of planning. The villa is equipped with everything that you usually need such as large american oven and hob, microwave, again american size washing machine and dryer which was fantastic as we washed our towels every day when we went to the beach. The beach is in walking distance and there are sun loungers for $10bbd and food available as well. The reef is fantastic therefore bring your snorkelling goggles with you. If you don’t want your jerk chicken extremely spicy then you need to tell Simone, otherwise it will be very hot.

My husband and I are travelling with the new Barbados visa scheme so we worked from "home" 4am till 1:30 pm on working days. We also quarantined at the villa. Villa is overall 5 stars, especially for holidays. Cons: Noisy neighbourhood. Maybe it would not have been obvious if we had had children with us or if we had not been working but there is animals, adults, children, cars and all sorts making constant noise from 4 am till midnight every day. And I really mean constantly. Dogs bark all the time, there is goats and chickens never really shutting up, children crying and, a party of people at the top of the street having a noisy street party EVERY day at around 5pm. Music and TVs are played loud and all the cars coming past "beep" to alert pedestrians (there is no footpath). Quarantine security - this is a first for me, and I would gladly do it all over again to "escape" my flat in London. BUT there is 2 types of quarantines in Barbados. Some villas have security personnel stationed outside the house, some have security cameras. I thought it would not make a difference but it did. Security guards (don't get me wrong, understandably as they are probably mega bored!) in turn, "sang" X factor audition style, played TV on our wifi (slowing our work), nosed around by the pool (their toilet being at the back of the property), came in for a chat unannounced and, one night, even came to sleep on our patio. At the end they overstayed their welcome by extending their "guarding" by 24 hours after we came out of quarantine (John, the super duper property manager managed to get rid of them for us :)). It is not the villa or the owner's fault but if possible I would recommend a villa with cameras instead. The outside of the property and sunbathing chairs when we arrived had not been thoroughly cleaned, I actually left them cleaner than what I found them :). The cleaner, Simone, came twice in the fortnight and she's adorable but she only cleans the inside of the property. Pros: super fast internet, very reliable. Very big villa, spacious, very very well maintained. Probably one of the best villa I have been at (and we travel a lot!). The décor is gorgeous. Beautiful curtains, all in working order, plenty of kitchen stuff and generous allowance of essentials and towels,beautiful view of the sunsets on the Platinum coast, gorgeous big pool! ALL 4 bedrooms great size, great lighting. John, the property manager helped us with the shopping twice. Recommended

Excellent villa and very well appointed only disappointment is that there was no maid service in a weeks stay so all towels and bed linen had to be laundered and changed by ourselves which is not what you really want to do whilst on holiday! Other than that it would if been a 5 star review!

A lovely villa

Baird Villa really delivered a great stay in Barbados. The villa is very spacious and the outside tropical gardens are delightful, The children liked the swimming pool Which is a good size and ideal for cooling down during the warm weather. The beach at Reeds Bay is nice and around a 10 minute walk from the villa, Gibbs beach/Mullins beach is a further several minute walk away. All 3 are superb beaches. We did spot several monkeys nearby and a number of hummingbirds too. At the bottom of the road you can catch buses to Holetown, Bridgetown and Speightstown. They pass by around every 5 minutes and you can the reggae music on your journey. Overall we recommend the villa although if you are a light sleeper bring ear plugs as the cockerels provide an early morning wake up call, although never woke up our 3 teenage kids!!

Happy family

We travelled as a family to relive and see the island with family who live close by. Their staff and owners were very polite and welcoming. The location is perfect and very peaceful surroundings with access to local buses within walking distance. All very spacious rooms and outdoors just adds to that feeling. It’s was exactly what we wanted for our family getaway.

Lovely property

The house was just as described, very clean, comfortable and with everything you could possibly need. Hanifa was super helpful arranging taxi, car hire, extra food and more for us. In a residential area between Holetown and Speightstown with chickens and goats in the neighbourhood and a fabulous beach at the bottom of the road, We would highly recommend this property.

Beautiful Bairds View Villa

4 of us just returned December 2018 from our 11 night stay. We had a fabulous time, the villa is beautiful. It is spacious, clean, pretty much perfect. The living area is large with great air conditioning as are the bedrooms which we were able to keep lovely and cool during the evenings. The kitchen is great and has everything you could possibly need, the starter pack that is there on arrival, perfect! There is a beautiful, shiny new barbecue on the veranda, we didn’t use it as there were only 4 of us but it would be fantastic for a bigger family to use, I think it had literally just been delivered! Bathrooms, again, spacious and clean. We spent every morning eating breakfast on the veranda overlooking the pool. The pool was the perfect size for us, not too big but certainly not small, my 12 year old grandson spent most of the holiday in it, he absolutely loved it. The area is residential, the neighbours are very friendly, a “good morning” when we passed every day. Beautiful bay/beach at the end of the street along with a great fish market. Supermarket a bit further, probably 5 to 10 minutes on the bus but the yellow buses are very frequent. Hanifa the house manager was brilliant. She met us, arranged for taxis when we needed them and checked in by text to make sure we were happy without being intrusive. She left a charged mobile phone for us so that we didn’t need to use our own should we wish. I can definitely say that we will be returning to this villa and I would certainly recommend it as a brilliant place to stay! Jackie and family
