John was a lovely and communicative host! The cottage could not have been more perfect for my friends and I. There was tons of space and the property's location was unbeatable. The solarium was the place to be rain or shine. Would absolutely come back-- everybody raved about the place!
The House looks much better in reality than on the photo’s. Very cosy and clean house.
The kitchen is fully equipped with tea, coffee, a nice bottle of wine and a very nice cake as a welcome. There is also plenty of bed linnen available in the house.
The Owner is very responsive to questions and eager to help. Overall we had a great stay here with a family of 6.

I am glad you had a 'great stay' in our 'cosy and clean' large house . I will get some more photos taken too. Yes, we usually leave a nice cake, wine etc out for guests on arrival. Pleased you enjoyed them. Do come again.
Had a lovely stay in a wonderful location. The pics look remote but In fact this property in the heart of ennerdale village almost next to A quiet pub serving good food. Aspects of the property need an update , for example sofas really old and tired. However we had a great stay, ample room for our large party. The real star of the show is ennerdale water less than a mile away. Swimming , paddle boarding and kayaking all easy to do in this quiet beautiful location. Fabulous

It was a pleasure to host Adrian and his family. Thank you Adrian for your extra suggestions - we've implemented these straight away . I look forward to having you to stay again.
This is a very beautiful and spacious cottage. We had a family of 8 staying including children we thoroughly enjoyed it. The cottage was nice and clean with all mod cons of a home It’s very thoughtful of the owners to include many modes of entertainment, including board games table tennis and a pool table. There were even disposable BBQ trays. Would highly recommend for a large family or groups.

Lovely Cottage
Really lovely family cottage in picturesque village location. Recently stayed at this cottage with two teenagers and our family dog. We all had a relaxing and fun couple of nights. The cottage is very spacious with plenty of room. The living room is very welcoming with a wood burning stove in the corner and very large flatscreen TV. The bedrooms were all of ample size and the bathrooms modern. The kitchen and house had everything you could possibly need. There was even three types of milk in the fridge and this months magazines to read.
There is an amazing walk around Ennerdale Lake and it is close to many other attractions. Thank you for a great short break.

Nice, tidy,
Very spacious nice and tidy house. Provide all for our big family. All different age groups found what they like. The location is so good. Although it is bit far from the centre of the Lake District but it was so nice to have a quite real holiday. Views around the nearest lake is so good.

We do have a good location in the Lake District National Park. The property lies in a quiet village and within 200m metres of two pubs, yet within a mile of Ennerdale Water, unspoilt and fantastic walking - paths and tracks for walkers and cyclists alike. It doesn't have the queues of Windermere, and it is because we aren't in the centre of the Lake District that the village is quiet and valley of Ennerdale is unspoilt.
These are worth a look:

We aren't far from Buttermere , Loweswater and Crummock Water - three more Lakes if you wish to see other local beautiful places in the National Park. Areas including these were in the Beatrix Potter Films.
We are within 30 minutes drive of the West Coast of Britain. Go to the beach at St Bees.
So the best of both worlds - Mountains , yes, and the Coast -easy to get to.
