This property has it all, kitchen, comfortable beds, nice televisions, and a bunk room/game room. Love that it was very near our friend's home who we were surprising. Would definitely stay again!
We visited family in near by Walter Hill. This location was close enough to family while being situated on a beautiful plot of land. The location was comfortable and had a good amount of things to do. Early morning we saw animals roaming and the hiking trails were great. We got snow for a couple of days which added to a beautiful scenery.
This was a great property that is tucked away in the country. If you are looking to stay away from the busy city but be close enough to get dinner this is your place.
We came into town for a regional soccer tournament and found this place. It was very comfortable spot to stay on our evenings following a long day of soccer. The kids loved it as well, so it gets high marks from all of us
We highly recommend this location and if we are back in town for future tournaments we will definitely stay here.
We loved the property so much. We ventured around right away and were all very impressed with the acreage. Coming from a farm with many acres in Oklahoma, it was quite unique and so tranquil. The home itself is very clean, cute, and provides all you need for a stay.
This place was amazing! We stayed the weekend. The host was super responsive, property was beautiful, house was comfortable. We will most likely stay again We have family in the area so we come down a few times a year
We enjoyed our stay everything was very clean and comfortable. We live on large acreage in the country so it was like coming home at the end of the day. Murfreesboro was a short drive and a really nice town. Even driving to Nashville was convenient. Thank you for everything Amy it was perfect and we will visit again when we come to Tennessee!
Our stay was wonderful! Very nice, clean and well stocked home! Our favorite part was that every room had its own mini- split heat/air. We all sleep at different temperatures and 2 of us are usually uncomfortable when we sleep. I’ve never seen this and it was fantastic! We love this place and will be rebooking!!
This property was simply gorgeous—set on stunning property with beautiful views in every direction. The trails on the property were such a bonus. We explored the trails and skipped rocks on the pond. We even spotted deer and a turtle. It felt like a little slice of nature’s paradise. The barndominium itself was spacious, beautifully designed, and exceptionally clean. The beds were super comfy, and every room felt warm and inviting—perfect for relaxing after a long day.The upstairs space was ideal for kids. It gave them plenty of room to spread out and play, and the air hockey table was the perfect touch! One night brought a lot of rain, and the next day, the owner came out to help us get a fire going using a flame torch (not sure what it’s officially called, but it was awesome!). The fire pit was great! The owners were the sweetest—so thoughtful, kind, and incredibly responsive. They even brought us fresh farm eggs, which were delicious and such a kind gesture.Everything about this stay exceeded our expectations. It was peaceful, cozy, and truly outstanding. We’ll definitely be staying here again the next time we’re in the area.Oh - we were in town for soccer showcase - playing at Richard Siegel Soccer Complex. The location was perfect.
Comfortable and plenty of space with all the conveniences of home. The property was located close enough to town yet rural and peaceful. The host was responsive and check-in and check-out were straight forward.
Spacious, exactly as described. Amy was very responsive to our questions. You can explore the walking path on the property. As a family of 4, we enjoyed the conveniences of the kitchen, laundry, and gaming areas.
Peaceful and quiet getaway right outside Murfreesboro
We spent a lovely weekend at the Red Door at Mayridge while my daughter had soccer games at Richard Siegel Soccer Complex in Murfreesboro. The property was barely 10 minutes away from the soccer fields and felt like much more of an escape than the generic hotels we usually stay on similar occasions. The Red Door was roomy and comfortable and was almost like being at home. We would love to stay here another time.
Four adults and 3 kids stayed in the rental and we were very happy that we chose it for the family reunion. Plenty of space up stairs for playing, tons of room outside to explore and let the kids play.
The kitchen is a little small but pictures show that, so if you are cooking multiple meals for a large group this may require some creativity. Hosts are wonderful, kind, quick to reply, and offer assistance.
This property is situated on a beautiful, quiet, piece of countryside. Walking through the brightly colored red door you are instantly greeted with relaxing colors and clean, well stocked surroundings. The hosts were very responsive to questions and helpful with all things. From the multiple games available, to the firepit and trails to explore, we enjoyed all of it. A lovely place to stay and one we will return to.
This was a marvelous VRBO stay that was perfect as we had a weekend family event at another farm nearby. Couldn't have been more restful or lovely. What a charming and clean place.
We absolutely loved the place. Very peaceful and quiet. The trails are well marked and mowed. It was nice relaxing by the firepit. If you get hungry, there is a fantastic BBQ place named FatGuy Southern Kitchen just a few miles down the road. Great music and atmosphere on weekends. Ask for Ray!
We couldn't have asked for a better experience. Mike & Amy were absolutely amazing, helpful and over the top with their hospitality! We will definitely be coming back!

Semi retired and enjoying Tennessee. We love being close to your children who live here and our grands. We are "staying young" by dreaming on this amazing property and love when people visit and sense the same peace and quiet tranquility we do when here. Taking on an entirely different future by raising chickens and other farm animals as well are growing things. We enjoy the outdoors and feel like kids playing in the woods here.
Why they chose this property
May Ridge is located close to Murfreesboro, Lebanon, Mt Juliet, Nashville, and other towns. It is peaceful and has everything needed to be comfortable while close to whatever a person could want. If you enjoy the nightlife of Nashville but want to retreat to a quiet place, May Ridge is your place! If you simply want a getaway to enjoy birds and possibly spot deer, turkey, coyote, bobcat, fox, possum, squirrels ,rabbit, etc.... May Ridge is your place!
What makes this property unique
May Ridge is family owned. Our place is new (built in 2023), and has all the comforts of home but is located in a country vibe. You can walk the trails, check out the old stil in the woods, look at an old civil war war (we are guessing that is what it is), spot many species of birds and other wildlife (be careful of rattle snakes, they are here too).
