About the host
Hosted by Vivienne Ghyoot
We live in South Africa, but have always loved France and wanted a piece of it. We came to the area by chance, loved it and knew we wanted to be in the area. After looking at more than 200 houses, throughout France, we knew this house had potential. The house was restored and furnished, and is a home from home for the family and for our guests.
Why they chose this property
This property is on the border of Provence, a wine growing valley, situated near Uzes which is the last Duchy of France. We fell in love with Uzes and wanted something nearby. The house is only a stone's throw away from the Pont du Gard which is a World Heritage Site. We love the area as there is so much to see and do.
What makes this property unique
The very well appointed house has a gourmet kitchen and lives easily and can accommodate large family groups and groups of friends. A chef who will cook at the house can be arranged. She will also cook for celebratory special occasions . The house lives wonderfully well and never feels crowded, even when all the bedrooms are occupied. There is so much to see and do in the area and roads and autoroutes are very easily accessible from here.
