Lovely place to stay
Great location for exploring.
Lovely cottage to stay at.
Lots of walking, cycling within the area of Strontian.
Beautifully kept property with very comfortable beds. Excellent price. Lovely location with great walks. Locals very welcoming. Plently to do even out of season. Would definitely recommend.
Very nice cottage with all that we needed for our 1 week stay. Never managed to have a bath! Spacious and comfortable in really quiet spot despite being right in the village.
Bramble cottage is ideally located near a shop and garage. The cottage is clean, tidy with all essentials provided. Correspondence with the owner was efficient and a basket of goodies was greatly appreciated. There’s lots of information on activities and walks nearby.
We had a great stay. Liz was really helpful on our journey up providing information on our journey and letting us check in early.
The house is really spacious, comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay. The location is great. Close to shop, hotel ( food good), cafe, walks from doorstep, forest walks, beach. Loads to do with Pugh getting in the car but also had some fab days out at sanna bay, Tobermory, and various other local places. We had a great stay! Thank you
Had a nice stay here for 2 weeks with our son and black lab Jack. Cottage along a nice quiet lane and had everything you could need for your stay. Well stocked general store just a couple of minutes walk away, with attached cafe which does a lovely full Scottish breakfast! Also nice evening meals available at the Bothy restaurant in the Strontian hotel with beautiful views up Loch Sunart.
Area had lots of nice walks and quite a few nice beaches not too far away.
Host Liz was easily contacted re. any queries and quick to respond.
Lovely comfortable property, beds comfortable nice enclosed garden and peaceful location
Corran ferry being off was not ideal and put a lot of travel time on the trip obviously something that couldn’t be avoided but does cut the area off somewhat!
Negatives- had to clear up dog mess in the garden on arrival not ideal with young children eager to play after 12 hours of

Thanks for your review and glad you had a lovely holiday.
The ferry situation has been challenging for tourism across many parts of the Highlands, and especially for the locals, thankfully Strontian is still accessible via the road and the good news is that a service has now been resumed.
Apologies about dog mess in the garden, I’d always hope preceding guests would take responsibility and clear up after their pets but unfortunately it’s been missed on this occasion.
We had a lovely two week holiday at this cottage. The house itself is beautiful and in a great location with a local shop nearby. It’s a fantastic location to explore the area which is so varied (from sandy beaches to woodland walks to mountains) and the views are amazing including the Hebrides islands. It’s easy to get to Mull and Fort William (by ferry) which gives the opportunity for more exploration - or climbing in my daughter’s case. The roads are small which makes the journeys quite lengthy to get to some places but it’s worth it. The local people were very friendly too and the nearby tea shop does delicious home cooked evening meals (we went twice). We were blessed with beautiful weather which always helps and we all had a great time.
The cottage is in a perfect location, lovely and peaceful. Lots of lovely walks on the doorstep.
The Strontian Hotel just nearby recommended for an evening meal and drinks.
The check-in was very easy.
The garden was a little untidy and the lawn needed cutting.
The cottage was tidy but could have been cleaner, we felt the floors hadn't been cleaned properly.
The TV connection wasn't perfect but that could have something to do with the remoteness of the cottage.
This would not stop me booking again in the future though.
Thank you Sheila and Kev.

Beautiful by the loch
I think from the photos I was expecting more. Some things let it down, the oven was dirty the lawn hadn’t been cut before we arrived as we have dogs it’s easier to find and clean up after them in shorter grass. The beds were lovely and comfortable, the sofas not so good. The lighting in the kitchen was pretty awful. We had a great week exploring the ardnamurchan peninsula even though the weather was very wet. The dogs Fern and Bramble loved being next to the woods. Highly recommend the kilcamb lodge and the Strontian hotel for food.

Home from home in a village setting
Strontian is an ideal location for touring Ardnamurchan and also providing the ease to get to Glencoe, Ben Nevis and for further touring.
The cottage is very clean, warm and generously kitted out. Every time we thought we needed something we'd open a drawer or a cupboard door and there it would be!
There is an enclosed garden ideal for dogs but a small note of caution if you have Norfolk x Jack Russell sized dogs they will be able to get through the fence with ease as we found out! However, I believe the owners are looking to sort that out. Good news for our return visit :)
The cottage has very efficient central heating keeping it very cozy. Very nice layout around a large hallway all on one level.
The owners left a thoughtful welcome basket including some treats for the dogs.
Strontian has a couple of little shops and cafe (which we didn't try) and the hotel nearby does food of an evening (again we didn't try it but only because we have dietary issues nothing to do with the hotel).
Lots of walks right outside the door or plenty of places to go and see nearby.
Thank you Liz and Euan
We'll be back :)

Excellent, comfortable, well equipped cottage in an excellent location.
Beautiful surroundings and good local walks. 5 min walk to excellent local, friendly pub with excellent food. Local store and cafe also close by. Well situated for exploring the beautiful coast and Fort William area.
Bramble cottage was well equipped, spacious and very comfortable. The welcome basket was a lovely touch with lots of Scottish treats!
Lovely location within walking distance of shops and hotel.
A great base to explore Ardnamurchan.
Needed brighter lights in the kitchen and the double bed mattress probably needs changing otherwise very good.

Thanks for your feedback and I’m glad you enjoyed your stay. The kitchen lighting has never been highlighted, but I will review it thank you.
Both king sized mattresses have been changed in the last 3 years and have received very positive comments - the upstairs one is a luxury Simba memory foam one. However I recognise mattress comfort is very subjective and individual so again welcome your comments and hope to welcome you back in the future.
We had a fantastic stay at the cottage. The location is great - well placed for exploring the area but just a short walk to the local shop and pub. The cottage is well equipped and cosy. We really enjoyed using the upstairs 'TV free' room to relax and read with a a small glass of something. The weather was kind enough that we could also relax in the garden. Great place. Would definitely visit again.
