We thoroughly enjoyed staying in this lovely village cottage. The village was quaint and quiet with wonderful country charm. Our host Una was very gracious and accommodating. We enjoyed the nights that we had dinner at the Weirs Pub as well.
Excellent stay at Multyfarnham- home was comfortable and we had easy access to other towns and villages. Best part is the Weir family who made us feel like we were family and part of the community. AND it’s the best food in Ireland!

The house was perfect and met all of our needs (including a washer AND dryer). The hosts were fantastic and we got to spend some time with them at their pub next door. We had a lovely time here and I would HIGHLY recommend this home.
Beautiful property, check in was easy. Loved the layout of the downstairs living room and kitchen. The owners Una and Pat couldn't do enough to make sure we were happy with everything and Una's brown bread was really lovely and re-stocks were appreciated! We were sad to leave Multyfarnham, as it has so much to offer as well with the food at Weir's being mouthwatering, and the nearby Franciscan Friary and Abbey Blooms Botanical gardens - there is so much here. But we hope to be back one day soon. Thank you Una and Pat for a lovely stay.
Fabulous place! Would definitely stay again. It’s a great location & very quiet for being in the center of town. Una is a great host - she made sure we were settled in & had everything we needed.
The house is super clean, comfortable & well appointed. We just loved it! Thanks Una for making our stay so perfect!
We came from the States to reconnect with family in Westmeath. Lovely location in a quaint town. Una is lovely, welcoming, and helpful. We had everything we needed with comfy beds, laundry, full kitchen, and space to spread out.

We loved the property. It was extremely attractive. everything had been renovated. The Botanical garden at the Friarly was absolutely outstanding. We enjoyed Weirs pub. There is lots to do in the area.
Una and Pat are great hosts. The lodging was absolutely wonderful. The village was quiet and peaceful and Tom enjoyed talking with the locals. Dinner at Weirs Pub and Restaurant was delightful. If we ever come back to Ireland, we would definitely make this a stop on our itinerary and stay longer next time!
Our stay was enjoyable. We had a lot of space in the home, backyard for the children to play, everything in the kitchen we needed. The property owner Una was very pleasant. I would go back there again.
GORGEOUS HOME RIGHT NEXT TO AWARD-WINNING RESTAURANT IN LOVELY LITTLE VILLAGE
Four ladies stayed at this beautiful, fully-equipped home during a girls trip. The beds were comfortable (especially the pillows ;] ) and the kitchen was fully equipped. When we were hungry for dinner, we simply walked 50 meters to the delicious and fun Weirs Pub & Restaurant. The hosts are incredible- full of tips on places to go and places to eat, including their wonderful restaurant right next door. We will be staying there again.
Completely renovated/modernized stone home nestled between the two village pubs with a walled and peaceful courtyard in back. Wonderful and attentive hosts. If self-driving, it's easy to get to historic sites and shopping. Perfect start to our Ireland vacation.
It was a home away from home and it’s all down to the hosts who went above and beyond during our stay. I’m from Ireland and live in Australia and it was magical to discover this gem in Westmeath. Lots of lovely village activity but nice and peaceful inside. We all slept really well in the comfortable bedrooms and there was so much space in the entire house. Just a 15 minute drive from Mullingar town, a 12th Century Friary 2 minutes away and you can grab a coffee up at the Friary Blooms gardens 5 minutes drive. A beautiful garden out the back for all the kids to explore and a brilliant playground for the kids 5 minutes walk up the road. Absolutely salt of the earth hosts and we’ll definitely be back to una and pat and of course Poppy the spaniel.
We have stayed at this home before. It was the same as we remembered it from last time. Safe. Comfortable. Convenient. We love the owners and hope to be able to visit again in the future. For anyone wanting a central base from which to explore Ireland, this is a perfect location. Thanks for the hospitality!
We arrived a bit early with no problem. We stayed a bit late with no problem.
Try not to compare with our stay at a castle, the Weirs made us feel like royalty. Make sure to enjoy the food and drink (Guinness) at the restaurant next door. But above all the staff was exceptional. We feel Jenna should get a very large wage increase!
Loved every minute. Thank you! See you in a year!

A beautiful house in a lovely village
We stayed at this beautiful house for 4 nights when we visited the area for a wedding. Una and Pat Weir were welcoming and friendly. Una made a hair appointment for my wife for the morning of the wedding. Nothing was too much trouble for Una or Pat - nice and genuine people. On our arrival Una gave us one of her freshly baked Irish bread loaves - and a jar of home made jam. It was absolutely delicious. The house was spacious, modern, light and spotlessly clean. Easy access by car to lots of interesting places including Dublin. The village of Multyfarnham is lovely as are the people. The house is opposite the village green and the church. There is a lovely Franciscan Friary 5 minutes walk from the house. We plan to return soon.

Thank You Hugh and the gang, it was our pleasure to have you, and your more than welcome to return anytime. Regards Una & Pat
We arrived early but it was no trouble at all. We were greeted and shown around. Una brought over some homemade brown bread and butter. It was delicious. Wish I had some now. I loved the small, quaint and extremely friendly community feel to everything. Una gave us some areas to see like the friary, Abbey Blooms & Tullynally castle & garden. The house has everything you need. The house sits in between 2 pubs and a park across the street. There’s a little grocery store a few steps away. It was nice to have a backyard for my child to play outside with a ball. The beds were super comfortable and I got a great nights sleep both nights. It was lovely to have a washer and dryer as well. Una was a phenomenal hostess. We absolutely enjoyed her home. Cheers.
This cottage was everything it promised and a perfect home base for us while visiting Ireland. Many sites were within two hours and we loved having the peaceful village of Multyfarnham to return to each evening. The owners were responsive to any request and had the home stocked with all essentials. For our family of four plus my mother, it was perfect in every way. Unlike staying in Dublin (which we have done in the past), Multyfarnham is a small town so you can park right in front of the home each day and easily head to local sites and cafes. The pub next door (owned by the cottage owners) is delightful. We would definitely come again and recommend this cottage to anyone looking to stay a 1-2 hour drive from Dublin, Galway, Sligo and a host of other sites.
We absolutely loved our stay in Una's home! Very clean, very comfortable beds, very welcoming & comfortable home. The village is so pretty & tranquil. We had everything we needed, and Una was right next door/a quick phone call away if needed. We enjoyed our morning walks around the village. Loved Abbey Blooms garden & coffee shop - delicious & supporting a very worthwhile cause.
It's a quick 10 minute drive into Mullengar for shopping.
We will definitely stay here again!
