We had a wonderful stay. Tony and Maureen were very responsive. And great neighbors with whom we got to share some traditional Irish music, was a bonus.

Home away from home!
Can't think of a better way to describe our holiday at Maureen and Tony's cottage than to say it felt like home. A beautiful cottage that housed my husband and I and out two adult children for two weeks. Plenty of room, beautifully presented. Pristine condition. Everything we needed. Fantastic views. Very close to a secluded beach. Great beach walks. Very friendly neighbours but still very private. Close enough to all amenities. Would highly recommend and will definitely stay again next year - just hope we get our booking in before it becomes too popular!

Thank you very much for your wonderful comments, Roni, it was fantastic to have you and your very friendly family. We are delighted that you enjoyed your stay. Maureen and Tony.
We were so delighted with this lovely cottage that we’ve already booked in for next year! It is quiet and surrounded by agricultural land and stunning views of the surrounding mountains and sea. It is minutes from a lovely beach that we enjoyed without the need to pack for a full day out, as we were able to walk back up to the cottage for lunch and back down to the beach afterwards. There are plenty of other beaches to explore further away. This property was perfect for our family with two young children and a puppy. We had a great mix of time on the beach and heading off the discover local waterfalls, a petting zoo and some castles. The kids are already planning next years trip!

Perfect place for a relaxing holiday
We have just returned from a week in this beautiful quiet area of Donegal. Very comfortable accommodation with superb views which can never fail to captivate. Reclining sofa placed by the picture window which looks out towards the little beach, sea and hills beyond. We could have spent all our time watching the changing scene as the tide went in and out, clouds formed in different patterns and sun set so dramatically. In fact we left the curtains open till midnight as it stays light for so long at this time of year. Equally lovely views all round the property with big windows making it very light. Good shower. The small kitchen area is well equipped. Heating great when needed and although we didn't light the fire, it would be cosy on a chilly evening. The beaches close by are fantastic. Lots of birds to spot including a resident cuckoo who delighted us with his courting displays on overhead wires. Also by the beach there were ringed plovers, common sand pipers, and probably warblers and pipits but our skill in distinguishing individual species needs to improve! If you can tear yourself away there is much to see in the surrounding area. We followed Maureen's tips and drove round to Crohy Head and to Glenveagh National Park. We also found the area round Portnoo very interesting but really whichever way you go there is wonderful scenery. We can also recommend the local garage Laughlin Motors, who were very helpful when we had some car trouble. Thanks Maureen for letting stay an extra night to sort everything out. Hope to be back to unwind again sometime!

Thank you so much for your wonderful review Jean. We are very glad that you enjoyed yourselves. I will pass on your kind words to Chris and Martin. It would be great to see you back again. Thank you for choosing to stay with us. Maureen and Tony.

Thank you so much for your lovely review, we are glad that you enjoyed your holidays. We would be very happy to see you again if you were back in Donegal. Also, a huge thank you for how clean and organised the cottage was ! Maureen and Tony
Thank you Peter for your lovely review! It was great to meet you both (even if I was in my gardening clothes, sorry), and the doggies. Also, thank you for how wonderfully clean you left the property. We hope you had a safe onward journey, and would love to host you again. Maureen and Tony

Thank you so much Hubert and Odette for your lovely review. We are so glad that you enjoyed your trip to West Donegal. Thank you for the good care which you took of our cottage. Yes, it was a pity that neither of us spoke each others languages, which did limit our conversations. I hope you enjoyed your live GAA Football game. We would love to welcome you back again.
