Nestled in the quiet village of Ghasri with panoramic valley views, but no more than a 5 minute drive to the capital, Victoria, Dar tal-Kaptan offers a nurturing, tranquil and idyllic sanctuary to re-generate and re-invent yourself.

Inhabiting a 400 year old farmhouse with unique architectural features, and converted to a high standard residence offering comfort, charm and relaxation, Dar tal-Kaptan features 4 themed suites, all with their own bathroom, private lounge area and outdoor terraces with fantastic views. Each exquisitely decorated suite has a small fridge, tea and coffee-making facilities, hairdryer, air-conditioning and fans, wi-fi access, Cable TV and DVD player, complimentary toiletries and towels.
This home exudes warmth and sensuality with its eclectic collection of art, sculptures, paintings and books.

During your stay you will be able to make use of our outdoor pool and jacuzzi, book and DVD library, communal kitchen, internet and several lounge areas. There is also a complimentary use of Sauna. Lighthouse Foodstore is just a 10-minute walk away.

Wonderful place, wonderful host

If you’re spending any time in Gozo I strongly recommend that anyone stay here. The home and rooms were beautiful, and Peter was the best host. It’s easy to drive there and also easy to get cars if you’re exploring other parts of the island. 10/10!

Beyond all expectations

My son and I were staying in Tranquillity Room overlooking the garden and the pool. The room was big and sunny, with a nice terrace. The whole house - common rooms downstairs with a fireplace, bar and library - is very cosy and stylish thanks to the artistic touch with which Peter furnished and decorated it. Peter is an artist in the broad sense of the word. He manages to create a most familiar atmosphere in his house by giving his guests a hearty welcome and taking care of them during the whole stay. His exquisite breakfasts are unforgettable. Thank you, Peter.

Most lovely authentic relaxing carefull atmosphere in years!

This B&B's Staff and employees are truely dedicated to contribute to a relaxing holiday/stay in their realy authentic and tastefull decorated residency. As a couple we stayed for a whole week at there accomodation Serenity and were pleasantly suprised about the open and caring aproach of both staff and employees. We were thuroly informed by them about places of interest, bikes, public transport, restaurants and offered booking them. We were never dissapointed by the advice and good judgement from the owner Peter (as you may expect from a Psychiatrist?) or his lovely (new) assistant tripadvisor Judith. We have never went twice to the same place or accomodation, but this place could be our first reconsideration!

A little gem

This is such a lovely place! A lot of character, beautifully kept and expertly run. We loved it! Warren and Peter are delightful and so helpful. Nothing was ever too much. Great breakfast, brilliant recommendations for eating out or just where to go for a day out. The swimming pool is restful and beautiful. I couldn’t recommend it enough. Thank you for your warm welcome.

Why they chose this property

As soon as I walked into this property for the first time I felt it asking me to buy it. It is a happy home full of fun memories of weekend escapes, parties and family gatherings. I am now opening it up to the world to enjoy too.

What makes this property unique

The apartment within the guesthouse is located in one of the quietest and most picturesque corners of Gozo with rural walks just outside your front door. The capital of Victoria is just a 5 minute drive / 10 minute bus ride away with lots of historic sights to visit, narrow winding medieval lanes to walk in and restaurants and bars to be nourished in. The sea is close by (20 minutes walk) and the Miraculous sanctuary of Ta Pinu just 15 minutes away on foot. There are plenty of nooks and crannies to ensure privacy in the guesthouse plus your own large private terrace. Alternatively you might just want to take food up to your suite or make your own. Book, you won't regret it!
