Beautiful villa with private pool and mountain’s view Here, no time to rush!

Located in the beautiful "Serranía de Ronda" within 45 mins. drive to Marbella and beach, 20 mins. drive to Ronda, you will be surrounded by 4500 square meters of private land, enjoy our chill out and barbecue by the pool and have breakfast in our lovely terrace under the shadow of the parasol. Please be aware as due to the uniqueness of the landscape, some parts of the road when you drive towards Ronda are winding. The house is very close to the village linked by a very short track steep by the end but negotiable at any rate.

*Please note that pool is available from 15 May to 30 October if you wish to have the pool available outside these dates an extra fee of 125€ and a week's notice is required*

Lovely villa in beautiful surroundings

Lovely and well-equipped villa in the countryside not far from Ronda, the views of the surrounding Sierra are amazing. Really enjoyed the pool after the long days of hiking. The owners Lily & Juan were very attentive and helpful, it was a pleasure to meet them.

Lovely villa with stunning views!

We had a wonderful family holiday. Lily and Juan were so lovely and could not have been more accommodating. The villa is great and stocked with everything you could possibly need. We loved the pool area and terrace, the views are incredible. A fabulous place to relax and unwind, would absolutely recommend to others.

We absolutely loved our stay here and it was everything we wanted and more. The views are outstanding and it was extremely peaceful and quiet. The villa itself is very well equipped and beautifully furnished with lots of character. The hosts were really helpful and very quick to respond to any queries and even went so far as helped us find our next accommodation in another village. All in all we cant praise this lovely villa enough and will definitely be returning.

1 week stay in mid September

The villa was brilliant and the hosts superb. The outlook and pool were lovely. There is an extremely steep access ramp for the villa and turning is tight so best suited to smaller SUV’s. Cartajima was very quiet so for eating out (although this may have been down to the time of year) and we had to use the car. These were the reasons we only gave location 3 stars.

Lovely house in an absolutely stunning location

This was our second time staying at Lily's house. We think it is the most magical spot. The house has everything you need, and the pool with it's stunning view are hard to beat. The sleepy village of Cartajima is beautiful and Ronda is only 15 minutes away. It's hard not to relax here, and we had some gorgeous, cheap, local food. I really highly recommend this place. And Lily is very accommodating and easy to deal with.

Wonderful stay

We had a fantastic week! The villa is even better than the photos suggest and it was such an idyllic setting. We loved the wildlife, and stunning views from the pool and terrace. The house is beautiful with comfy beds and great amenities. WiFi a great bonus for teen and remote work. Pool clean and just the thing on super hot days! Hosts were great, getting some breakfast in for us after a late arrival, and very responsive throughout. We hope to return, thank you Lily!

Gorgeous

Lovely, comfortable & well equipped house in a gorgeous location. Beautiful views, pool & sun shelter amazing, lovely breakfast terrace & a comfy hammock that I moved to in the late afternoon. Close to Ronda & Marbella for day trips. Hosts were welcoming & easy to communicate with. Perfect for our stay. (NB - don’t be put off by no air conditioning - the house has good quality blinds & fly screens & we managed the inside temperature very easily with a few fans)

A lovely property in a stunning location

This is a lovely property in an unbeatable location. The property is homely and comfortable and full of personal touches. We loved it. Lily and Juan, the owners, are very friendly and helpful. It was a pleasure to meet them and stay in their property. There are so many high points that it’s hard to mention them all, but the ever-present wildlife, eagles overhead, the view from the property and total peace and tranquillity will live long in the memory.

I am a professional writer and my partner works at the Stock Market here we found the perfect spot to forget about the world, beautiful sunsets a great pool and no one around to bother you, the house was lovely and well taken care off, owners really care about us and provided information on the area. In the evening we use to stroll to the village and have a drink at "Casa Amalia" there was also a big party at the village and we had a free meal courtesy of the Town Hall. We won´t forget the feeling of been far from the hustle and bustle and the kindness of Lily and Juan and probably be back next year.

Immaculate villa in a beautiful location.

The villa was very clean and tidy with modern fixtures and fittings. The kitchen was really well equipped from everything you would need to cook or barbecue to a modern dishwasher to finish. The outside space was private with a lovely terrace with chairs and table also a really comfortable hammock, and all covered by vines to offer some shade. The pool was really nice and deep and the perfect size to have summer fun. There are extensive gardens with fruit trees and terraces of grape vines growing which are a pleasure to walk around before the sun got to hot. The tranquility and nature set in the mountains makes this a very unique place to visit.

Lovely regardless of Rain or Sunshine

We (2) spend 8 wonderful, quite nights in Lily’s home. The view is stunning and pacifying and you hear nothing at all in the night. As I am one myself I recommend it for everyone who needs to escape work for a few days to recharge. Pool looked awesome, but April got the better of it with heavy rain the first 3 days, so it got to cold to use. Despite the weather we enjoyed our stay on the fireplace and later in the sun, finished of a few books and went to see Sevilla, Gibraltar and Ronda. All together a wonderful stay. Thank you Lily!

Breathtaking views immaculate villa and perfect hosts

The drive up the mountains gives you some spectacular views, the village is easy to find although the driveway to the property isn`t too obvious at first. The driveway is actually a little intimidating as the gradient is steep. However once parked up at the villa you get a wonderful sense of peace and tranquility. The view out by the pool cannot be truly appreciated with photos as it is simply stunning. The villa is probably the most well finished and maintained we have stayed at in fifteen years of renting, everything is very good quality with no expense spared by the owners. (who incidentally were there to welcome us most warmly ) once the tour of the villa was over we were left to enjoy our holiday without interruption (although Dolores was instantly on hand via whatsapp if you need her ) as a final note it was very pleasant to receive the full security deposit returned within a day or so of us being back home, Truly Perfect and I cannot think of a single thing to complain about .... Lovely Lovely Lovely :-)

Perfect!

This villa is perfect for anyone wanting a quiet get away. Correspondence from Lily was faultless all the way through and we were met at the airport even though it was a ridiculously late arrival (01.00) and then we were delayed! Lily and her husband stayed until we had found our luggage in case we needed some help which was very sweet. We were given brilliant directions to the villa and it was spotless on arrival. We had one problem with the hot water (the gas ran out) and Lily was always on the end of the phone so was sorted that day. We were also told about the local village festivities which we went to and wine was on tap! We weren't disturbed at all during the stay and it was lovely sitting down by the pool eating our dinner with the sun setting as well as the visiting swallows diving to drink from the pool each evening. We had a car so were able to travel but it was so serene we didn't go anywhere apart from to the smurf village which was quaint but not much to do. If you want an active holiday then this isn't for you but if you want to stay by the pool and spend some quality time with each other then this is perfect. The villa had everything we needed - the pool is cool and inviting and not overlooked at all. We had complete privacy the entire time. It's only a short walk from the village but up a track and up hill so make sure you take a torch as trying to negotiate it after a few wines is more difficult than we thought! If you want a holiday away from everything and everyone then this is perfect. I'd thoroughly recommend it to anyone - I'm looking at booking somewhere for this summer in another country and I realize just how spoiled we were. Hoping to come back soon. Thank you so much!

Peace and tranquility

My wife and I booked to stay the last week in October. The booking process was easy and the owners were quick to respond to all my e-mails. You will need to do your homework, we did for the location as we were looking for a quiet location but not too far away from a town. You will need a car to get to and from this villa. From the information provided by the owner and looking closely at google map we were able to follow the directions to the villa without any problems. We phoned the owner when we were passing Rhonda, which is about 15 minutes away to arrange pick-up of the keys and had a nice surprise to be meet in the village of Cartajima by Lily and her husband who escorted us the last part of the journey to the villa. Once the formalities and handover had taken place, the villa was ours and we did not see anyone for the remainder of our stay until the agreed time of hand back and departure. The Villa was very clean and well presented. The kitchen was equipped with all we required and we dined in every evening. The swimming pool area is well presented and we appreciated the better quality of sun loungers. The views down the valley from the terrace and pool are stunning.. A high boundary fence surrounds the villa which sit on a very large plot of land with varied fruit trees in abundance. The ground around the Villa lawn and pool area is on a slope and this will need to be considered if you have very young children or have difficulty walking. Please see the photos which are available as they provide a clear perspective, this did not cause either of us an issue. The large Iron gates provide a very secure area with Parking for a maximum of 2 cars. If you wish to have a quiet and relaxing Villa holiday this is the place for you. Lilly and her husband continue to improve their Villa with alterations planned for this winter to enhance the holiday experience. I Highly recommended this villa.

Excellent séjour très reposant

Nous avons passé deux semaines parfaites. Lily et Juan, les propriétaires sont très sympathiques et nous ont donnés toutes les informations nécessaires. Lily parle français couramment. La maison est très bien équipée et sans vis-à-vis. Les environs sont très calmes. C'est l'endroit idéal pour se ressourcer en famille ou entre amis. Les lits sont très confortables, tout est parfait. Nous reviendrons !

Little piece of heaven

We had a wonderful stay at la Chácara. Everything was perfect. The house and the outside accomodation are beautiful and comfortable. Everything you might possibly need is there. The house is cosy and spotless. The pool and the views are absolutely stunning. The surroundings are total peace and quiet, a perfect getaway from this mad world. The owners, Lily & Juan, are very friendly and warm people, and super helpful. The Serranía de Ronda is a beautiful and quiet area. We did some stunning hikes, and enjoyed the pool, terrace, sun and views for the rest of our time. The city of Ronda is only 15 minutes away, for (grocery) shopping, good tapas etc. We loved every minute of our stay, and sure hope to be back one day. Thank you Lily & Juan!

Haus mit Pool in den Bergen

Das Haus besticht durch seine traumhafte Lage. Ein toller Blick auf die Berge. Entspannung pur. Die Inneneinrichtung wurde sehr liebevoll und geschmackvoll durch die Besitzer ausgewählt. Wir haben uns dort sehr wohl gefühlt. Einziger Nachteil ist die Entfernung zum Meer. Eine Stunde Autofahrt. Ein wunderschöner Urlaub, den wir nie vergessen werden in Corona Zeiten.

Lovely place to stay

We have just enjoyed our second stay at this lovely Villa in a very beautiful setting. There have been some changes made since our first stay, namely new windows and a modernised kitchen. The layout has also been much improved and the large flat screen tv with Netflix via the attached amazon stick was a welcome bonus for keeping the younger family members entertained. Outside, the view over the hills is wonderful and along with the peacefulness it offers a welcome escape from normality. Lovely outside seating areas offer shade and our daughters loved relaxing in the hammock. The august days were nice and hot but temperatures cooled for the evenings which made them comfortable and we didn't suffer with mosquitoes. The lovely village of Cartajima is a very short walk with a handy shop and also a pool bar slightly further, it's situated about 20kms from historic Ronda which offers plenty of restaurants, shops and supermarkets. The roads are well maintained and the drive takes about 20mins through beautiful scenery. Malaga airport is a straightforward 1 1/2 drive. We certainly recommend this as a personal favourite and the owners, Lily and Juan, are lovely and very much on hand should you need any help or advice.

Een heerlijke oase van rust, deze parel in Andalusië. Magnifiek!

Een werkelijk fantastisch vakantiehuis met een ongelooflijk mooi uitzicht, een heerlijk zwembad en van alle gemakken voorzien. We zijn hartelijk ontvangen door Lily en Juan, met wie het contact zeer gemakkelijk en snel verloopt. We hebben twee weken in deze oase van rust doorgebracht. Waarbij het uitzicht bijna per uur verandert van ochtendmist tot strak blauwe lucht tot aan de heldere sterrenhemel. Afkoelen in het heerlijke zwembad of even lekker in de hangmat liggen en genieten van de krekelzang: je voelt je hier meteen thuis. Het mooie stadje Ronda is zeer dichtbij en een aanrader om te gaan slenteren of eten. Al met al een dikke aanrader en we komen zeker weer terug!

Lovely villa and hosts .

We stayed at the villa for just under 3 weeks . The villa was spotlessly clean and both Juan and Lily were at the villa to greet us upon our arrival . They were the perfect hosts in every way and couldn’t do enough to ensure we enjoyed our stay . Lily provided her mobile contact details and was on hand for any questions or advice and always responded immediately, which was very reassuring. The villa is well equipped and the views are amazing . The vintage / retro decor really made the place feel liked a loved home and not just a holiday let . Although we went in early June , we had fantastic weather and used the pool every day . We travelled to the quaint villages around the area as well as Seville and Ronda . We particularly liked Ronda which is about 20 minutes away . There is also a large Lidl on the outskirts of Ronda so stocking up on supplies is easy . Lily and Juan let us pick oranges from the garden which we used to make fresh juice . The villa is in a lovely valley overlooking the national park so the views are uninterrupted and beautiful . For peace , tranquility and a piece of the real Spain , it can’t be beaten . Within hours of arriving back in the Uk , Lily had already authorised a refund of our deposit , which is typical of the high standard of service we received during our stay . We send Lily and Juan our very best wishes .

Absolutely perfect

What a gem of a find this villa is! If you can’t tell from the photos of course. We have just spent a peaceful 9 days here and could not have asked for more from the facilities or hosts. We had everything we needed if we wanted to dine in, beautiful Ronda and large supermarkets are 15 mins drive away or there is a local bar and a couple of restaurants you can walk to. The host Lily was super helpful and there if we needed her but not if we didn’t. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this place and can’t wait to return!

Super schönes Haus das keine Wünsche offen lässt

Wir waren fast zwei Wochen in Cartajima. Das Haus war noch schöner als wir es uns vorgestellt haben. Top ausgestattet! Besonders in der Küche hat uns das sehr gefreut weil wir viel gekocht haben. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Lily und ihr Mann waren super nett und hilfsbereit. Der kleine Ort hat einen besonderen Charme, im Dorfrestaurant kann man hervorragend essen. Auch wenn das Wetter bei uns nicht so schön war, wie wir es uns gewünscht hätten, hatten wir tolle Tage. Man kann seine Zeit auch gut vor dem Ofen verbringen...

Nicely finished and well-equipped villa in a beautiful natural setting

My partner and I had a lovely stay here. The setting is very peaceful with lovely views. Various fruit trees within the grounds and also some incredible wildlife (saw various eagles, bats, reptiles, and even a praying mantis during our 1 week stay - may not be such a selling point for some, but personally I was amazed on a daily basis by the beautiful wildlife of the surrounding area). The villa has everything you would need for a short or long stay, and the owners were really friendly and helpful (they leave you to your holiday in peace, but we got the impression they would have been on hand straight away should we have needed anything). Plenty of seating/dining areas and you can see the amazing views from most of them. The pool is great, very deep so you can have a proper swim; was slightly colder than other outdoor pools I've been in before (probably due to the depth), but once you're in you get used to it pretty quickly, and you can still see the views from the pool which is nice. I know this is mentioned in other reviews but worth reiterating: the final driveway down to the villa is very steep and quite narrow, so you will need a fairly decent car that is not too wide to avoid the potential for any minor scrapes/difficulties ascending. There is a small shop in Cartajima but basics only and the opening hours were a little ad-hoc when we were there (Sept), so best to stock up on essentials somewhere bigger (e.g. Ronda, which is only about a 20 min drive away). Lovely place and plenty to do within a short drive from the villa. All in all a great holiday at a reasonable price - would definitely recommend!

Welcome to La Chacara-Fuente de los Peces! We proudly invite to enjoy the experience of our little piece of heaven! My name is Lily and I am 56 years old. I am devoted to my beautiful region which remains off the beaten track. My husband is an agriculture engineer and teacher as a trade. The beautiful vineyard and our small orchard is all his doing. I take care of our villa in the logistic area. I am passionate about literature written in English and French.

If you are considering to immerse yourself into our culture, enjoy our landscape or if you like to walk through valleys discovering unspoilt tracks away from the crowd. You will thoroughly enjoy it. Our property has many fruit trees and our clients are more than welcome to pick oranges, cherries, pears or figs if they are in season.

What makes this property unique

A comfortable home with breathtaking views, cool nights with a sky full of stars, the silence can be occasionally broken at night by owls and our neighbor's rooster :). From here you can visit the main cities of Andalusia such as Seville, Cordoba or Ronda a city full of history and tradition here artists as Orson Wells or writer Rainer Maria Rilke found inspiration for their works, our house is off the beaten track surrounded by a landscape of unique characteristics, the valley where the house is located is surrounded by a thick chestnut wood and if you are a hiker the Biosphere Reserve "Sierra de las Nieves is only at a stone throw, we are extremely proud of our effort and result throughout this three last years that has given us not only customers but also friends
