Great ski weekend house near town

The house is perfect! We stayed 2 couples 2 singles, total of 6 people. That was a great configuration due to beds, the bunk bed was a full bunk bed so lots of room. The house was nice, renovated and perfect for what we were looking for.

The house is in a great location close to restaurants and Vons. It is very well stocked, we made dinner every night and did not miss anything. The beds are comfortable, we would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful trip

This condo is great. The layout and decor are nicer than most we’ve come across in Mammoth, and the kitchen as well as bathrooms were stocked with everything we needed (including some spices, everything necessary to cook, and shower gel, shampoo/conditioner, lotion). Very close (walkable) to some great spots, including Mammoth Tavern, the bowling alley, ice skating and Vons among many others. 10 min drive to Canyon. We will almost definitely stay here again!

Great living room. Best rental we have stayed at in Mammoth so far.

Lovely large living and dining area. Beautiful and spacious master bedroom. The kitchen was really well stocked with great pots and pans, everything needed to cook really great meals. Loved hanging our in the living room , with a fire going and playing games etc... Very central to downtown, a few great restaurants within walking distance.

Very nice clean large bright unit

Hello - this was our second stay at the unit. It is located in a very central convenient location close to all the shopping and eateries. It has a nice great room - A frame style with ample lighting and a nice view. I would highly recommend this unit.

It was a nice condo in a great location. There was no AC which was fine, but none of the windows in the living room open and there was no screen on the slider, so it got really hot upstairs. Also, there were no lake/pool towels. We had to do towels everyday so we had clean towels to shower.

Thank you for the feedback. We now have screens installed on the three sliding glass windows. They were special ordered and took a little longer than we had hoped to get installed. The good news is they are in now so hopefully the new screens on the large windows solved the issue. Plus that was an unusual heat wave for Mammoth. We will be sure to stock with more towels.

Home away from Home

our favorite place so far in Mammoth. We had a small family/friend group that needed a large enough place for all. The upstair/downstairs setup gave space for the families. The kitchen was stocked with utensils and cooking supplies. Everything seemed to be working fine. The spa/jacuzzi area were smallish but to be expected because it’s a shared community setup. Found a great sledding hill right outside our porch. We were able star gaze at night on the upper deck. We will be back.

Cancelled on me a few hours before arrival

I can’t believe they’re allowing me to review this. They cancelled on me the same day as we were driving to the unit (2.5 hours before check in). It was for my daughter’s 15th birthday. We had to turn around and cancel the whole weekends plans. VRBO promised to help us find another place for rent and they never did. What a joke.

This person was not in our vrbo booking calendar but we tried to help them anyway after receiving a non-vrbo text from them. They did not stay with us. Apparently, there was an issue with VRBO itself and not our listing. We called VRBO for the person as a courtesy and VRBO gave us a number for the guest to call. We conveyed that number to the guest and VRBO told us they would help the guest. We have been on VRBO for 13 years with countless bookings and have never had an issue with respect to us honoring a reservation. Once a reservation is booked the dates are instantly blocked out whether it is booked on this booking channel or any other.

Nice place

Overall we had a good stay here over Labor day weekend. Very nice communal space and well appointed. We spent a lot of time on the deck and enjoyed the grill. The space is a little smaller than conveyed in the photos, particularly the downstairs which is dark. There is no AC in this house so it was tricky with the recent heat wave. It would have been nice if the owner had offered some fans as it was 80 degrees at times inside. Also, he says no pets but there was a significant amount of dog fur scattered around the floors and furniture.

Thank you for staying with us. For future reference there are fans in the closets for those rare days in Mammoth (recent heat wave) where temperatures raise - there is also a ceiling fan in the master bedroom that does a good job of cooling off the place. Also cross-ventalizing on the many windows is useful. As for the pet policy, this guest asked for an exception to bring her dog, we said no because we strictly do not allow pets, so unfortunately that must be the cause of this review. The downstairs has windows on both sides and canned lighting installed throughout it. It lights up quite nicely and gets natural light as well with the shades open.

Wonderful trip to Mammoth

I came from Los Angeles for a one week trip with my family of 4 . I like to stay in larger , updated places and this condo was very nicely appointed. The living room was very large and comfortable with a vaulted ceiling , balcony and has an open floor plan with the updated kitchen , center island and dining table all within the same living space. The bedrooms were large and the master has a nice siting area as well. The bedding was extremely comfortable and I slept like a baby , where most often I have trouble sleeping the first night , here I did not have that problem. The service and management team were available when needed and the condo is in town very close to dining and stores and even walking distance to them if you chose to take a stroll . I would highly recommend this place and I will be staying here for my future visits. I don't think I will find a larger, more comfortable and updated place for the price. Thank you to the management team and owners for making it this nice and comfortable.

Great lodging for a family winter trip to Mammoth

This is our 3rd time staying at this very nice property. We've previously stayed here in both the summer and the winter. The rooms are well-furnished and comfortable. The electric heaters in each room were very efficient in keeping the place comfortable during the single digit nightime temperatures during our stay. There was a convenient area right inside the front door with a bench, floor tiles, and pegs & hooks for holding skis, snowboards, boots, and coats The kitchen was modern and well-equipped and all the appliances worked well except for the turntable in the microwave. Even though the snowpack was extremely heavy, the outside parking areas and pathway to the condo entrance were completely cleared for easy access. The paths around the complex and to the spa and sauna areas were also cleared so that you could walk through the complex even though the snow was more than 6' deep. Our only disappointment was that during this visit and the previous one the housekeepers failed to provide enough towels for our group of 6 people. The missing towels were not provided until the following day, even though the property manager had requested they be provided right away by the housekeepers. Nevertheless we would love to stay at this condo again in either the winter or summer.

Nice condo for a family vacation

We stayed at this property previously during the summer of 2020 and returned for a winter ski trip last week. This is a very nice condo, clean, generally well-maintained, and conveniently located. There were plenty of parking spaces directly in front of the unit. The furniture is comfortable and in good condition. Although we had very cold wintry weather during our stay the electric heaters in each room kept the place warm and comfortable. The kitchen is modern and well-equipped. The entry area is well-designed for hanging coats, storing wet boots, and ski equipment. Having a washer & dryer was appreciated since we were traveling with our young grandchildren. The only downsides were (1) the toaster oven needs replacement since it shuts down after a few seconds, (2) absolutely no soap was provided in the 2 bathrooms, (3) the knob for the left rear kitchen stove burner is installed upside down which poses a risk of leaving the burner on accidentally and the right rear burner was coated with melted plastic rendering it unusable, (4) the extra blankets in upstairs bedroom closet could use laundering, and (5) there was evidence of a dog previously staying in the unit since there were dog droppings on the upstairs deck and a discarded rawhide strip under the couch. Also the TV instructions were outdated but the property manager told me he would update them after I notified him. Nevertheless, we strongly recommend this unit and plan to stay there again.

Cozy Stay

The property was nice. I would say that it was accurate to the posting. I don't have any complaints but a few suggestions. With the house not having AC, it would be so much help if celling fans were installed in the Living Room and the 2 downstairs bedrooms. Although there were sliding doors that open, you don't want to sleep with the doors open all night. It did get pretty warm and stuffy. I would also suggest providing more dish towels and bathroom towels. Although it was mentioned washing the towels was not needed, we were forced to buy detergent to wash as we would not use 1 towel per person for 5 days in the bathroom. The kitchen had a lot of cooking utensils which was great but it would have been nice to have a few more baking sheets, there was only one provided. Last suggestion is to have someone take a look at the burners on the stove. The front right burner does not work. All other burners worked great but the coils of the electric burners are quite bent causing pans to tip over if you weren't holding it while cooking something light like Bacon in a frying pan. Other than that, the manager was extremely responsive to questions, we would stay here again.

Family trip in Mammoth

Great location and floor plan, but the cleaniness of the unit is not what one would expect for the price (dirty floors and area rug not vacuumed). The screen door in the living room was not even on the rail, it was just left propped up against the sliding door since it needs to be repaired. This property shares a wall with the Manager's unit and we were awaken by a commotion next door that ultimately resulted in a police incident on the final night of our trip that put a damper on the overall experience at this property. It can be a much better experience for future guests if the the above-mentioned items were addressed. Just an okay rating overall since I've stayed at other properties in Mammoth where the attention to detail is much better.

Thank you for staying with us. As far as the cleaning we have been using the same cleaning company for the past 11 years and have not had issues with them. They are a professional crew that come in after every guest with 3-4 cleaners at a time. That said, I have already reached out to them to make sure the place is always in top shape. With respect to the manager's unit, we have known the on site manager for 5 years, he is very dependable, responsible and trustworthy. Again, for 5 years not a single incident. If anything, having the manager next door has been a bonus for when a spa key goes missing or a quick repair is needed. Anyway, we investigated and we unable to discover any incident. That said, we do not think whatever may have occurred came from the manager's unit.

Great Place to Stay When Visiting Mammoth

We really enjoyed our stay. Communication with the owner, Zach, was exceptional. The house was comfortable and had everything we needed for an enjoyable stay. The location was great - close to the village, the grocery store, and solid food options. I highly recommend this property!
