The chalet is lovely on arrival - set out brilliantly and I must say looks better than the photos! The beds were really comfy and I felt very at home. The location is great for the beach and the whole park felt peaceful and relaxing.

Great location

Have been going to this cabin for a few years, it is a great location to stay. The cabin is ideal, clean and everything you need for an enjoyable stay, although this time the weather wasn't great to say the least, but didn't dampen our spirits !!!!

Everything we could have needed was provided. Very clean and welcoming chalet. Lots of communication with the host, Jackie, checking in with us to check we were happy. The WiFi was invaluable as the phone signal was awful, not something the host can fix.Would happily book again.

We love caswell and enjoyed our stay at the chalet was cute i couldn't get hot water in the kitchen but wasn't a problem kettle worked fine

Cosy and convenient

Ty Bae is a very homely and well equipped chalet in the quiet, wooded valley leading down to Caswell Bay, convenient for the Gower's beaches and Mumbles Bay just up the road. Very helpful host: useful information packed with lots of local information.

Nice stay

The property is in a good location. It is a bit dated. The kitchen would really benefit from a bit of tlc and some chopping boards.

Hi Julia, Thanks for your comments. We constantly update worn or outdated items but aim for a rustic sea side shabby look. There are two glass chopping boards in the kitchen - in Covid times they are easier than wood to keep germ free.

Home from home

We really found the chalet to be very comfortable generally. Kitchen well appointed too. The shower fixture was not very good so the showerhead flopped and had to be used by hand, but im dure this can be fixed. We will definitely book again in the future.

Property was in an ideal place 10 minutes from mumbles in the car Chalet was ok but not clean Dogs hairs all over the furniture wen we got there Bathroom was filthy hairs +++ in the shower plug

Sarah brought a dog with her- first dog in the chalet since early summer as we don’t accept them in high season. So I can only assume the pet hairs were from her own dog. The chalet had been professionally cleaned and I checked it afterwards and it looked lovely. Bedrooms were beautifully presented and there were little extras- tea, coffee etc left as well. I had been helpful during the booking process as Sarah was bringing an elderly relative and so I wanted to make sure all was in order. Disappointed by this review and not a little upset!

Just returned from 3 nights at Ty Bae House with my daughter and dog.Jackie's communication was welcoming and we had all the information we needed.Amazing location for nipping down to the beach and cafe (v short walk). Nice, quiet chalet park which (I expect) has more of a buzz in summer. A couple of stunning walks on the doorstep too. Handy for Mumbles by car. Kitchen was well stocked with pans, utensils and the basics to cook a proper meal.Cozy living area and comfy single beds too. Layers needed at night as its October and it's getting a little chillier.A fab first visit to the area, can't believe it's taken me 50 years to discover! Will definitely be coming back. Thank you.

We had a wonderful few days at Ty Bae with our dog. The chalet is 60 years old but that adds to the charm. The decoration throughout is lovely, in a beach hut style we thought and really suited the property. Everything works and everything you might need is there. The property was exceptionally clean and comfortable. The location is super for exploring the Gower with a fabulous beach within 10 minutes walk complete with dog friendly cafe and beach shop. The beach itself has seasonal restrictions for dogs, however, there is a beautiful woodland walk from the chalet and a very well surfaced coast path goes all the way from Caswell to Mumbles so local walks were not an issue and many beaches are dog friendly. The host was also easy to communicate with and instructions arrived as expected. I would happily return to Ty Bae and would recommend this chalet for its accommodation and location for access to the wider area.

Lovely place to stay with the family, great beach on you door stop!

Second time staying at this property and again had a lovely stay. Fab beach 2 mins walk away and plenty to see close by without getting into the car.
