Kinley tower is a beautiful, recently renovated folly. This grade 2 British listed building offers guests a peaceful location on a relaxed family run farm. Please be aware that due to the buildings age there a couple of areas where the ceiling heights are lower than normal.

An interesting and quirky folly, like a tiny castle which was great fun to take our grandsons to. Of the beaten track and surrounded by fields.There was no internet at the property and a tiny bathroom without a working shower, which was an issue for us staying with two children for 3 nights, but we managed ok. The property was clean and comfortable and check in procedures were good.

Kinley Tower has wonderful views along the coast as far as the North Yorkshire Moors,. The accommodation was very comfortable, although there was no wifi or internet service. We greatly enjoyed our stay, and the property is in a good position for visiting Seaham and surrounding areas.

Loved this folly! Views are amazing, it’s so unique. Beautifully set out and well equipped. Kids loved seeing the horses in the next field and we had a great evening walk down to Blast Beach. Comfy beds, we slept really well. I’d stay again!

The property was lovely, quiet and out of the way, easy to find, the hosts were in the end of the phone when needed, in my case as few times, the WiFi was spot on, parking is private and in front of the property, thoroughly enjoyable stay.

The property has everything you would need and was very clean. The location is absolutely stunning and very quiet surrounded by countryside and horses in adjacent fields. Quick and easy to warm up on colder days and nice and cool when it turned a bit warmer. Lack of shower was a bit of a problem for us but everything else was spot on.

Great family break

Fantastic place to stay! We stayed for three nights with our two children - they loved staying in "the castle". Really well furnished and had everything we needed. The views are fantastic and some great walks in the area. Easy to drive to Durham and the Beamish Museum. Highly recommended!

Beautiful Accommodation / Location

Brilliant place to stay as a family, very clean and lovely place to stay, location by a private farm in the sticks you’re surrounded by grass, views, water and horses it’s beautiful. Great size accommodation and with modern kitchen and bathroom making staying here great. Located close to mainly areas, Beamish, Newcastle, Durham etc. Can’t recommend this place enough a lovely cozy warm stay.

Weekend break

We wanted to stay in the area as my partner has family routes there , we especially wanted to walk along Seaham beach . The location of the tower was perfect, beautiful countryside and such a unique place to stay.

This place is even more beautiful and unique than the pictures! We had an incredible stay here and really loved the location, wildlife and surroundings. Very clean and well kept, tastefully decorated and made for an unforgettable visit. Would love to come back one day!

Lovely Hideaway Stay

The folly is quirky, cosy, peaceful, beautifully kept and so clean. It's really comfortable and the views are delightful. Perfect location for exploring Durham and the surrounds, with the coastal footpath close by. Highly recommend.

Tranquil setting in a beautiful property

Kinley Tower is located on our family Farm, and has been recently renovated, it is located a five minute walk from Hawthorn Nature Reserve, and easy reach to Dalton Park (shopping outlet) and Metrocentre, Durham, Sunderland and Newcastle.
