Corran Lighthouse Lodge is a detached house with a working lighthouse in the garden! (albeit with no fog horn). The perfect holiday home for two families or groups of friends. It is ideally situated to explore the unspoilt Ardnamurchan peninsula with its abundance of wildlife, stunning scenery and endless walking opportunities. On the other side of Loche Linnhe, accessed via the Corran ferry is the enchanting area of Lochaber with Fort William and the Nevis mountain range and the mystical Glencoe area. A large elegant lounge is with a wood burning stove provides a warm and comfortable place to relax after a day of exploring. The country style kitchen with Aga is adjoined by a spacious dining room which seats 10. All bedrooms are en-suite and the beds can be configured as either double or twins. Outside the Lodge is enclosed by a walled garden with elevated decking area with views down the Loch and there is direct access to the beach, which provides many hours of entertainment for children. About the host
Hosted by Catherine Collins
Hi,
My name is Fiona and I run Corran Lighthouse Lodge for the owners, Catherine & Fi. I live in Edinburgh but am in constant contact with Cathy, who is the Housekeeper for the Lodge. Although the Lodge is only a short ferry journey across Loch Linnhe you really do feel you have been transported into a world of tranquillity and beauty.
I am more than happy to help plan your stay at the Lodge.
Why they chose this property
The old Lighthouse keeper's lodgings were lovingly converted into this stunning self catering holiday home which the owners have made warm and beautiful place to stay.
What makes this property unique
The Lodge is in the perfect location for exploring Lochaber and Ardnamurchan. The working lighthouse located in the garden adds a special atmosphere to any holiday and the lights can be viewed from the master bedroom (but not when the curtains are closed!)
You will love the remote feeling of the Lodge but with the knowledge you are only 8 miles (plus the ferry) from Fort William which many facilities.
Whether you are a serious walker or just want to enjoy the sights you can access some amazing views. Either a walk or a gondola ride takes you up Nevis range with views to take your breath away.
