Lovely big house and garden. Very well equipped. The Bev & Stephen offered excellent communication throughout, with lots of helpful advice. The surrounding area was stunning and offered lots of activities for all ages.We would recommend highly.
A nice place with a lot to do, specially for the kids. The loved the game room.Only negative about the place was that mainly the kitchen was not clean. The stove and the ovens were fatty and laso the plates and cutlery was not very clean. We needed to clean the things before we could use It. We would recommend the owners to clean the kitchen, than it eould be a very nice place to stay.
The chapel is extremely spacious with lots of room and a huge garden. We stayed with a small family group but there was plenty of space for more. The stove made it nice and cosy in the evenings and we only wished we were staying longer to make use of the games room and outside space.
I had a lovely time visiting this house, which was beautifully presented and had a fantastic garden. The location is good for anyone looking to explore the area's history and natural beauty being close to Hadrian's Wall and other historic sites. Overall, I was very impressed with the property and its surroundings.
Had a lovely family holiday at this beautuful chapel. Beautiful surroundings, peaceful and quiet. Games room was great for the kids they spent hours in there Lovely family holiday
This is a treasure of a find! The house is warm and the games room is excellent. The house is also well equipped with stunning views of the garden. We had a most wonderful stay here for a r laced new year's break. The communication from the lovely owners was fantastic and we would not hesitate to stay here again or recommend to anyone else. This has felt like a most wonderful New year's treat!
Really enjoyed our stay. We wanted somewhere to chill for a couple of days. This property was perfect.
Evenings watching DVDs or playing in the games room and a walk along Hadriens wall & countryside.
This is the second time my family have stayed here and once again we had a thoroughly good time. The house has everything you need for a fantastic getaway from it all.
What a lovely property with loads of garden space to enjoy. Really enjoyed a short stay as did all the entire family party. Games room was a smash with the children. Great place ro just chill.
Great weekend away for a 40th birthday. Something for all ages, three generations of our family.
Lovely property with loads of character. Grounds were beautiful.

Idillic retreat
A lovely house in a secluded area of the North Pennines. The garden associated with the house are ideal and the facilities meet the requirements of a rental home. Worked well for our visit, with all people catered for.
Lovely property, extensive gardens. We were very pleasantly surprised by the size of living and dining areas, they were larger than the images would lead you to believe.
Also, the garden is massive, suspect it would be great for energetic kids!
We had a wonderful stay at The Old Country Chapel! Despite the poor weather, the spacious indoor areas made all the difference. The games room, with its foosball table, pool table, magnetic dartboard, and games machines, was a big hit, especially with the three teenagers in our group. The property was perfect for two families, with plenty of room for everyone to relax. Highly recommended and would happily stay again!
We had very pleasant stay. The property was very spacious. Kitchen was laking of working space, and only one frying pan. We have throughly enjoyed the games room.
Very comfortable. We were 5 adults and three children. Large kitchen, great dining room with a table that could fit everyone comfortably.Kitchen was very well appointed. Huge sitting room with massive sofas and very effective log fire. Everything you could ask for. Superb grounds. area is fantastic for hiking and lots of great eating options in short driving distance. Owners were super friendly and helpful
We had a lovely weekend with our friends, 2 families getting together, my 8 year old loved playing in the very large garden and we all loved the games room, plenty of things to keep us all happy! The kitchen facilities are great and had everything we needed! The rooms are really big and the teenagers enjoyed having TVs in their rooms, massive selection of DVDs. We have already said we will visit again :)
Property was very nice and exceeded all our expectations. It was the nicest and the best vacation rental we have ever had.
The country around the area is absolutely beautiful. We spent the entire week in the area around the wall except for one day traveling to Glasgow, one day traveling to Edinburgh and one afternoon at our son's wedding in Gretna. jpc

Amazing house with full facilities..love it
Everything is great decoration, facilities, garden, films library kitchen etc
I had 2 nice days in the house and everything was perfect. The only issue there was the Internet speed maybe because of the general service.
The house was clean and well organised. The games room garage was well stocked with different equipment and very well put together. The garden was huge and well maintained. Generally a very nice place to stay for the weekend and the beds were comfortable enough for a relaxing weekend away. My only negative comment would be the lack of basic kitchen items, such as cooking oil and kitchen towels/cloths, which I would consider essentials for a kitchen as we were only there for the weekend and didn't think we'd need to buy our own cooking oil, which was was an issue the first morning cooking breakfast in dry pans.
Overall we had a great time here and was very comfortable for the weekend.
Great location in reach of nice pubs and walks. Large garden for children and adults alike to enjoy, great pool table in the garage games room, expansive DVD collection for all ages, host was easy to contact and available. Well equipped kitchen for self-catering when consecutive pub lunches get too much. Very happy with our stay, would highly recommend to others.
