The 3000 sq. ft., 4 bedroom home has generous principal rooms, wood burning fireplace, hardwood floors, exposed beams, wonderful seaside deck for entertaining, watching whales, otters, osprey, eagles; there is a private balcony from the upper bedrooms to star gaze, smell the scent of the sea roses and listen to the sounds of laughing loons. There is a 2-storey self contained optional guest boathouse cottage available to add occupancy numbers if required.

Nice house for some rest and relaxation, house is not far from Chester, we found some great places to eat out. If you like to watch the birdlife by the sea this is a good place to do that.

Nature lovers paradise!

This cottage was everything we were looking for! We rented the boat house as well and it was ideal for our daughter and her fiancé. The cottage is private, bright, clean and perfect for enjoying the South Shore! Highlights were the bald eagles, seals, dolphins and the best views of the night skies. We loved our stay.

This was our first family trip with our adult children. There was more than enough room for all 4 couples. The wifi was great and allowed the 2 who had to work stay connected. Good central location to explore the area on easy day trips. Huge deck with great seating to enjoy ocean views all day long! Super comfy beds!

Perfect Property!

A girl's trip, first time to Nova Scotia for all of us. House was wonderful. Paul was prompt to answee all of our questions. Many quaint little towns to visit. Loved listening to the water and watching for the high and low tides each day. House was quiet, comfy, clean and perfect for us. Leaves changed to their full beauty each day we were there. Loved the many hiking trails.

Wonderful House at Otter Point on Chester Bay

We spent a week at this waterfront home in mid July. Our grown children joined us for a memorable week. The location is perfect for day trip exploring much of Nova Scotia. We cooked many meals at home and the kitchen is adequately stocked for meal prep, dining al fresco, having cocktails and watching the fog roll in made for a vacation we will talk about for years to come. Bedrooms were all comfortable, just note that the three upstairs bedrooms all share one beautifully remodeled bathroom. We didn't spend time in the water as it was still too chilly but we just enjoyed sitting on the porch, overlooking the bay.

Reconnecting with family

Loved the location. There was lots to see and do. Everyone enjoyed watching the seals, bald eagles, king fishers and the elusive dolphins. We will be back.

Recent stay at East Chester

Our family re-united for a wonderful week at the East Chester cottage. The home was spacious and clean and easily accommodated our group. The deck overlooking the ocean offered outstanding views and lots of room for family to gather. It was great to have the boathouse as an extra space. We would definitely return to this property again.

The property was very well maintained, clean and had all that we needed. The only down side was no air conditioning as it was quite humid the week we were there and had a hard time escaping that. Over all a great property we would stay again.

A little piece of heaven

Three generations of adults and this house was perfect. Mom has issues with stairs so having a room on the first floor was a must. We stayed late June so weather was just starting to warm up but still a nice get away. Not that you ever need to leave as the view of the bay is beautiful but if you do your just over half hour car ride to most popular destinations. We had a few adventures to Peggy Cove, Halifax Harbour and a lovely day of golf at Bluenose in Luinenburg

Fabulous view, lovely cottage

The cottage was spacious and clean. We stayed for a week with our two adult children. The view from the front deck was fabulous from morning to night, especially for sunsets. There was a small rocky beach, but it wasn't easily accessible. It was a short 10-minute drive to Chester for groceries, and there was lots to see and do along the coast (Mahone Bay, Lunenburg, Peggy's Cove). We would definitely stay here again!
