This luxury self catered 3 bedroom, 2 bathrooms Penthouse Apartment comes with a sunny open plan living room, modern fully-equipped kitchen (including washing machine and microwave) and dining area (seating 6).

The living area opens up into a huge balcony which has amazing view of the Mediterranean Sea and the U-shaped courtyard, with colourful gardens. Stairs from the balcony lead to a stunning rooftop terrace with breathtaking views over the sea and the mountains and provides a picture-perfect setting for a peaceful, laid-back and relaxing stay here in North Cyprus, away from the hustle & bustle of urban life. The rooftop has a large Jacuzzi, great BBQ area and stunning sunset views over the sea and mountains!

The apartment is very spacious, family friendly, fully air conditioned and is simply but tastefully decorated. For your extra home comforts we have a 32-inch TV (with HDMI connector for Laptop), a 27-inch TV/DVD with X-Box and assorted games, Radio/IPod Player, Washing machine, Microwave, Toaster and Kettle. We also have extra bedding, pillows, towels, hair dryer, Iron / Ironing Board, etc so you do not have to worry about the little things. A High chair is also available for the convenience of our guests. Wifi / Internet Access is also available and included in the rental price.

The resort offers extensive facilities including a beautiful indoor and outdoor swimming pool including sun loungers & pool bar, water slides, children's play area, Tennis/Basketball Court, Mini golf, Games room, Outdoor chess, Fully kitted gym with Jacuzzi & Sauna, Kayaks for paddling in the sea, some bookable boat tours and water sports (eg. Jetski, etc) and bicycles for hire. You can also enjoy some amazing Thai massages for a small fee.

Pilates, Yoga, water aerobics, live music nights and open air cinema are just some of the organised activities to keep our guests entertained.

A brand new restaurant / mini-market has also been opened in 2022 to add to the amazing facilities the site offers.


Just a few minutes drive away there are four 5 star hotels that have been completed in the Bafra area; these hotels have Casinos, Night clubs and other fabulous facilities (including water parks) all of which can be used and enjoyed by guests from Thalassa, with a nominal entrance cost.. A championship golf course is also under construction a stones throw from the Thalassa Beach Resort.

For the more adventure types: The resort is situated at the base of the Karpaz Peninsula which is a nature-lovers paradise; its rugged coastline, stunning scenery, quaint villages and friendly people make it perfect for exploring North Cyprus. The historical city of Famagusta is only 30mins away which features the 12th Century ruins of Salamis, Famagusta City Walls and Othello's Tower as well as magnificent churches and museums.

Gastronomy: The resort is a short drive from the lovely fishing village of Bogaz (which has amazing seafood restaurants) and there a lot of very friendly local restaurants which pride themselves in freshly cooked, home-made International, Turkish and Cypriot cuisine.

The pool was fantastic and the water was warm, I am not a fan of pools but this was so relaxing, and good music from the beach bar. We had some lovely meals in the restaurant especially the Kleftiko. We had fun playing the crazy golf too. It was a fantastic resort and the owner was very communicative and helpful, he let us have a late check out as our flight home was a night flight. You do need a car not only for supermarkets but for visiting other wonderful destinations. We would return here to Thallassa Beach Resort.

Great Holiday

The resort offers a lot of things to do including a nice sized pool, water slides, beach etc. I would recommend a car as without this you may be isolated from restaurants apart from the on-site one. The apartment was nice and clean with with plenty of space.

Perfect for two couples

We are grateful for an early check-in. We arrived on a very hot day. The AC in the main room did not blow cold air. Soon a repair man came. Within an hour he had recharged it and it worked well. The layout of the rooms worked well for two couples / no kids. And we loved spending evenings on the rooftop. Sun going down over the mountains; moon coming up over the ocean. Like other commenters have mentioned, you need a vehicle to enjoy your place, Food, both restaurants and stores are limited. This was clear to us before we got there. We hope to come again.

Excellent Base to explore North Cyprus

Your apartment was fabulous. Due to the weather we were not able to take advantage of the roof terrace but would expect that in the better weather this will be a good suntrap. The rooms were all clean and the kitchen equipment supplied covered all our requirements. The facilities on site are brilliant and as a family we walked along the beach, played bowls and miniature golf all with equipment supplied at no extra cost. The play park on site is all brand new and at the time they were renovating what looks like a fantastic pool and the shop area. This is an excellent place to base yourself to tour Famagusta and the peninsula area, a car is a must. All in all we had a wonderful relaxing time and would consider contacting you again to book this apartment. I have also mentioned your apartment to colleagues and friends and will pass on your details.

Thalassa Resort

Bafra is a small town in a remote part of North Cyprus. The resort is about 10 minutes drive from about 4 large hotels. A car is essential to get around for supermarket shopping, restaurants and general sightseeing. Although the resort is on what appears to be a sandy beach, no one was swimming in the sea as the floor was rocky and had a dense weed undergrowth. Luckily, there is a public sandy beach about 10 minutes drive which had crystal clear water and was warm to swim in. The apartment was well equipped, roomy and had a lovely balcony. We did not use the roof top solarium much as the resort had very good facilities. The pool at the resort was fantastic and we had access to a jacuzzi, steam room and sauna at the spa. There is a restaurant on site, but was very disappointing. Their staff were in experienced and the food was just not good enough for the price that they charged. Overall a nice place, if rather remote and it is about an hour and a half away from Larnaca Airport.

August 2022 Holiday

From start to finish I have nothing but compliments for the apartment and host. Great communication- even when I bothered him about recommendations etc he came back to be really quickly and went above and beyond! The apartment looks better than the photos, it was really lovely and clean, really well equipped. All of the item (pool bits, tennis racquets etc) we available for our use. The complex is beautiful and clean, and really well maintained. The pool is one of the best I have used on holiday, and very safe for children, they also loved the slides. The spa has very easy booking process, just scan the QR code in the window and book online. We both had a massage which was easily the best massage I have ever had (very reasonable price £35 for one hour). There is a small shop on site which is useful, but you will need a car/taxi to go to the local supermarket. The food in the restaurant was delicious and very cheap in comparison to the UK. They opened the new larger restaurant whilst we were there which was beautiful. They also opened a children's club which appeared to be well used although we didn't use it as it was for younger children. The use of free paddle boards/kayaks etc was fantastic. For us, I loved the fact this resort was not overrun with holiday makers. We always had a place next to the pool or beach, water sports were always available we didn't have to queue. In short, I would thoroughly recommend the apartment, resort and the host, you will not be disappointed.

Excellent spot in North Cyprus

If you was like me 1st time in North Cyprus, treat yourself and rent this apartment. It is gorgeous, well maintained and with everything you need. The owners always respond for inquiry via email. The complex itself is very good with they own beach what you need more! Restaurant in the complex is good if you want to rest one day or two in the complex. To reach the resort remember to pass all the Cassinos, and carry on driving. You must have a car hire if you want to go out & about. If you go in the hit summer the resort also has pools and toboggans.

A comfortable apartment with everything you need, relaxing resort

We stayed for 18 days at Thalassa beach and really enjoyed our time at the resort. First the negatives to get it out the way, you will need a car Thalassa Beech is a little remote but dont let that put you off as it alows you to travel around Cyprus and see some great places. Tha apartment could do with a little spent on additional seating/loungers on the upper patio and maybe morre comfortable beds. But that is about the worst I can say. The apartment is spacious and well equiped, all the utensils you need. A large dining table and plenty of seating in the lounge and snug /game area with an Xbox and several games for the kids. Wifi both in the apartment and around the resort which for the most part works fine. Nice balcony off the lounge with views of the garden and sea. Spiral staircase to the roof terrace which has sun all day long with a small jaquzzi. There is a shower on the roof terrace and a sink with work surafce adjacent a BBQ which is very handy. The roof terrace is huge but could do with some extra equipment which the owner has commented he is looking into, with a little investment would really be a crowning glory to the apartmet as it has a great view over the resort,pool, sea and mountains with graet sunset views and probally sunrise if I was up that early. The apartment is idealy situated in the resort a few minutes from all the amenaties, pool, restaurant, gym, beach, sea and a new indoor pool and wellness center. If you want a relaxing resort then this is for you, enough to keep the kids happy between the pool, slide, mini golf, bowls, water sports, bike hire , tennis courts and football field so plenty to do. We never struggled for a sunlounger around the poor and the beech was mostly unused. the restaurant on site is small but has a nice feel with friendly staff run, the food was excelant and at a really good price typically £40 for 5 of us to eat and drink. It also has a small shop in the back of the resteraunt for more than basic needs of bread, milk, water. The bigger supermarkets are at least a 5-10 min drive away with the biggest one about 25 mins away by car. Top tip the village you pass on the way back to the main road has a water refill station it cost 3 TL to fill a 10L bottle so not just cheaper but lets you keep down on the plastic bottles you throw away. Its not as developed as the Greek side but a lovely place to stay, I will come back even thought about buying there is somethjing about the place.

My Vacation in North Cyprus

We been in thalassa for a family holiday about 13 data, resort was good , pretty quiet, nice communal pool, little acquapark, little good restaurant, a Slice of sandy beach and a pier bar where u can get a nargile, apartament was cool, 3 bedrooms 2 baths and a good living space whit a kitchen corner, the management is kindly and they have good rates If you need to rent a car or to get a taxi (we paid 75 euro from thalassa to larnaca in 6 people , a taxi on the road ask about 120 euro) We found just one iconvenience, the island is shared in two parts and if you rent a car is not possibile to pass the board whit it , so if you want to see the south side of the island that is richiest of life is bette organize good before. In the north side the beaches ar hiddens inside big hotels and you have to pay a quote to get in .

Relaxed Quiet Resort

The property was clean and well equipped. It was very spacious with plenty of room for our family of four. Being on the end there was very little noise from neighbouring apartments and the roof terrace was another large space we could relax in, giving good views. The resort was very relaxing with a good restaurant and well stocked shop. All the facilities were in very good condition. The pool was a great place to relax always being able to find a place in the shade, the same can be said about the private beach too. With the kids making the most of the water sports on offer. It was also well located to visit the north of the island, we had many trips out including to the Troodos mountains and more locally Famagusta was an interesting visit. All in all we had a wonderfully relaxing holiday and I would thoroughly recommend.

The perfect holiday

If your looking for a clique high end of town holiday, well this is not for you. This is an amazingly quite place set in a beautiful resort. Whilst not spectacular, it has enough, to entertain the whole family. The apartment is spacious with a large balcony that you can sit and watch the ocean as the waves crash into the shore. There is a small restaurant, pool and bar, small slides and a sandy beach. The staff are friendly and everyone has a smile. And why not, your in paradise after all. The host was very helpful and truly wants his guests to have a great experience. For those who are prepared to step away from the packaged holidays, that want value for money, then look no further. The apartment, the host, the location and the resort all fantastic. We could not have asked for more. We will be back.

A wonderful property in a peaceful location

The apartment is very well equipped with everything you need and the Thalassa beach resort is lovely. We were met at the gate by the management company who showed us to the apartment which was spacious, clean and comfortable. The complex has everything you need, we enjoyed playing tennis, using the fitness centre and swimming both at the beautiful pool and beach. It is very remote but it has a small shop selling essentials and a lovely little restaurant. The prices were very reasonable (25TL for a salad) and the exchange rate was roughly 13TL = £1 while we stayed. The beach was very well equipped with sunloungers, beach huts (new and were being roofed while we stayed), kayaks and paddle boards, all free to use. The staff work tirelessly to keep the complex clean and tidy. We did hire a car for a couple of days and did go out a couple of times but generally we would have been just as happy to stay at the apartments for the whole week. It was the best apartment and location we’ve stayed at (if you want to get away from it all and relax).

Fabulous stay in a hidden piece of paradise!!

A wonderful stay in a beautiful setting. Excellent facilities and thoughtfully equipped accommodation. Owners were very good at communication and enabled a swift and efficient entry and exit. A brilliant place to go with families and also for couples...from the roof terrace with a jacuzzi allowing panoramic views in decadence...to the facilities on site. There is a games room and gym and sauna area. Pool is exceptional and proximity of the beach is ideal to provide a multi-generational party to enjoy. With a fab restaurant and shop on site you need never leave...However plenty of local tourist attractions and fabulous restaurants. This is our second visit. Cannot wait for our next visit to paradise!!

Beautiful quiet resort

Lovely Apartment beautiful views to the sea from both balcony’s - 3 spacious bedrooms light and airy kitchen area added bonus of an Xbox which my son enjoyed when we having down time. The owner answered all our questions promptly close to the pool and restaurant. We researched North Cyprus for a while before choosing Thalassa we were fed up of going away in school holidays to a packed pool getting up early just to get a sunbed! Thalassa is a nice friendly resort the pool is lovely and the slides were great for my 3 kids. Even at 10am there was lots of sun beds sometimes we were the only ones in the pool! It did get busier the second week but it was still calm and not busy at all for school holidays. You definitely need to hire a car which we did by contacting Thalassa management they arranged the car for us and it was brought to the resort .we found some nice restaurants visited fumagusta, kyrina and went to Karpez Marina which was lovely it’s 20Lira to get in and use there sunbeds towels provided you park at the top and a golf buggy comes and takes you down they have a beautiful infinity pool get there when they open or all the pool ones are gone.. the beach is lovely and there’s a inflatable thing in the sea my kids loved that. You definitely need to drive around there’s some lovely beaches . There’s a couple of big hotels near by with water parks think it worked out £50 a person to use there waterparks for the day one hotel did bowling it was 100L for an hour of bowling . We will defiantly be booking for next year by far the most relaxing holiday I’ve had for a few years . The management company also arranged transfers for us to and from the airport. The on-site restaurant did lovely food and they are adding more and more dishes all the time once a week there is a live singer / Bbq night which was good (booking recommended) A quiz night /curry night on a Sunday . If it’s a lively lots of entertainment you want then this isn’t the holiday for you , as entertainment is limited. We enjoyed staying in the pool till late getting a bite to eat and sitting on our balcony in evenings .

Very cozy apartment

This is a cozy apartment, with everything you need. This is a two-level apartment. On the first floor: the bedrooms, a large living room and 2 bathrooms. The second floor is a roof terrace with a barbecue area and a Jacuzzi. The apartment has a beautiful view of the sea. On the territory there are small water slides, a very beautiful beach, a large swimming pool ... We really enjoyed the holiday in the Talassa Beach Resort. I will gladly recommend these apartments to friends.

Spacious comfortable apartment

A really lovely apartment comfortable and well equipped .Lovely views towards the sea from balcony and around the surrounding countryside from room terrace with hot tub! Fabulous swimming pool in lovely location and sandy beach very pretty .Nearby public beach sandy for swimming and if prepared to travel up the Karpas peninsula truly idyllic beaches to be found.Nearby is the crusader castle of Kantara castle with stunning views ( breathtaking even on this our 2nd visit). The ancient city of Salamis is very near as is Famagusta both also definately worth a visit if you can tear yourself away from the swimming pool and beaches! Highly recommend!!

Beautiful apartment, weather and resort

Was stunning weather the whole time we were there, the owner was super helpful and gave excellent navigation advice and tips for what to do while we were there. The apartment is gorgeous, really clean, spacious and a well equipped kitchen. We didn't get round to using the Jacuzzi but did go up and the view was stunning. Would definitely recommend. Fantastic spacious apartment for a family holiday

We stayed here for a week for a family holiday. The apartment was fantastic and very spacious with every amenity you need. The bedrooms were large and airy and with great sea views. The rooftop terrace was wonderful and the balcony was perfect to sit out in the evenings to enjoy the sea breeze overlooking the landscaped gardens. The communal pool, slides and play area were perfect for the children to enjoy and sun loungers readily available any time of the day. The staff were so friendly and welcoming, we ate at the resort restaurant a few times and were never disappointed. The food was delicious and cooked fresh to order. Car hire is highly recommended as the resort is a little remote to truly explore the beautiful North Cyprus region. The owner was excellent and every query answered promptly both before and after our stay. I would highly recommend staying here for a memorable holiday.

Beautiful, Well equipped, Family apartment

On arrival to the apartment we were not disappointed. The pictures didn't do it justice. The apartment is spacious, well equipped and you can see its is lovingly looked after. It has a large balcony and even bigger roof terrace with a Jacuzzi. The views from the roof terrace as the goes down over the mountains are incredible. The resort has a large pool and there is never any trouble getting a sunbed, even with 4 children. The staff in the resort are so helpful and friendly and nothing is a bother. I would recommend this to anyone. I think the best compliment we can give is we are booking back up to come back next year. North Cyprus is a beautiful place full of beautiful people who cant do enough for you. I was a little apprehensive to begin with because of the boarding crossing and it not being in the EU. Don't let this stop you it is straight forward and easy crossing. Its is a truly amazing and laid back country. The only recommendation I would make is hire a car. The resort is isolated and there is nothing about that is walking distance. All in all I give 5 stars and we are already looking forward to going back.

Beautiful apartment in a beautiful resort

This is a very spacious, clean, well-equipped penthouse apartment in a quiet, well-maintained resort. We weren’t sure what to expect, but everything turned out as described to us. Three bedrooms with ACs, 2 bathrooms, washing machine, open concept with fully equipped kitchen (but no dishwasher), dining area, living area with AC, xbox game area. There’s also a balcony with a spiral staircase to a private Jacuzzi upstairs (which we didn’t use). The apartment was a perfect size for our family of 5. It is a short walk to a large common pool and a separate waterslide pool, which my kids enjoyed a lot. It is also a short walk to a private sandy beach within the resort. There were lots of loungers with umbrellas for use – we never had difficulty finding a good spot. There is only one restaurant at the resort, but the food was good and very reasonably priced. The owner and the resort staff were very receptive to any issues we had (e.g. one of ACs was not working but got fixed promptly) and addressed them very quickly. The whole resort was very well-maintained, with plenty of staff working all the time. Things we really liked: the beach, the apartment, the main pool, the waterslides, the restaurant. Things we disliked: not many drawbacks, but the apartment has no dishwasher or dryer. These did not pose a major issue for us though. Also, the resort is a bit secluded, so it is highly recommended to rent a car in order to go to nearby restaurants and supermarkets. Overall, we had a great time, and would certainly recommend this apartment to others and would even go back ourselves!

Fantastic

The apartment is very well equipped, there is everything there that you need. It is spacious and the roof terrace has amazing views to the sea or the mountains. The sunset over the mountains is spectacular. The resort itself has so many facilities. We enjoyed the massive swimming pool, kayaks and played mini golf and bowls. The games room is well equipped. The spa was due to open after we left but was looking great. The restaurant is good and they had just built wood burning ovens for homemade bread and pizzas. We had a fantastic relaxing holiday. The resort is isolated so a car is a must to explore the island. We will be back. Tracey

Great relaxing time

It was our first time to North Cyprus the Apartment is about 45 minutes drive away from the airport. when we got to the apartment we were pleasantly surprised how big it was. The fact that there is a large roof terrace up with a hot tub is a bonus. The views are breathtaking. The location is great and very clean. About 5 mins walk to the beach. People are friendly. If you like walking there are some great long walks through the mountains. Car is a must. We had a great time relaxing, walking and would go back there again.

Hi... a little bit about us ... we are a family with 2 children and live in London. Life has it's usual habit of keeping us extremely busy so don't have as much time for holidays as we would like.

We purchased our apartment at Thalassa since we fell in love with the location... it is truly unspoilt.

We have tried to make our apartment as comfortable as possible and a kitchen fully equipped with all the essentials that you would need....for us it is a home from home !

Why they chose this property

We have always had a soft spot for Cyprus ...friendly people, good food at very reasonable prices, lots of history and stunning landscapes (you can be in a snow covered mountain one minute and basking on the beach a couple of hours later) !

We are extremely pleased with our Penthouse apartment and hope you enjoy it too.

What makes this property unique

If you want a truly relaxing holiday where you can "get away from it all" then Thalassa Beach Resort is definitely the place for you !

The pace of life is very relaxed and with brilliant sunshine most of the year and a beach setting you will struggle to find a reason to get stressed !

In addition, Northern Cyprus uses the Turkish lire currency - a very favourable exchange rate means you will get so much more for your money.
