Beautiful house, amazing pool, peaceful location

An amazing opportunity to stay in a huge house with so much history. Situated about a 20-minute walk (if you find the shortcut trail!) from the village for small supermarkets, plenty of tavernas and the beach, it is a huge estate which is so peaceful, not overlooked at all, with an amazing pool and outside area within the orange and olive groves. The air conditioning in the bedrooms was very welcome in the heat. The owner was generous and helpful with recommendations for places to shop and eat. The village of Benitses has tourists, of course, but they tended to be families so no rowdy crowds. We recommend the little bakery, especially the peach cake and the spinach pies!

A step back in time!

We were a group of seven and loved our stay! The property is full of old world charm and really provides you with a sense of what life would have been like in the area over the past century +. The gardens are beautiful, the pool is great, the house itself welcoming and great for a group (the kitchen is a wonderful space where everyone wanted to gather), there is a high degree of privacy yet it is close to everything. We had awesome meals in Benitses, could hike right from the property, hit the beach, and drive anywhere in a short amount of time. Jan was an amazing host meeting us at the airport and ensuring the basics were in the fridge for us and they sure did come in handy! Thank you Jan! The only potential drawback for some, and depending on the time of year, is that there is no air conditioning.

Agree air con. Might be nice, but with a listed property difficult if not impossible to install- hence the fans everywhere . So glad you all enjoyed yourselves- please come again!
