Pretty view from the deck and windows on the back of the house. You can watch boats go by on the river and trains. The amount of space for 6 people was perfect and the proximity to West Point was very convenient. When you enter the house, it’s a little like stepping back in time. Jerry and Barbara were great hosts!
Relaxing comfortable with stunning Hudson River views! The bird watching in the backyard was spectacular…we saw blue jays, cardinals, northern flicker, sparrows and even a bald eagle perched on a top branch of a tree below.
With two seating areas as well as a back deck, there were plenty of places to relax. As a bonus we enjoyed watching tug boats, barges, and even a cruise ship sailing up and down the river.
The house was comfortable and well maintained, making it easy for visitors to feel right at home. In addition, this house was in the perfect location to access West Point and all the surrounding towns.
The hosts, Barbara and Jerry, were kind and helpful answering any questions that we had. I’ll definitely be return to this property next time we’re in West Point.
Perfect location for visiting our West Point cadet
This home was exactly as advertised. Plenty of room for five adults. The owners are kind and considerate. The location was perfect was visiting our West Point cadet son.
This was a very pleasant experience Barbara and Jerry were good communicating regarding any questions we had regarding the property. Great deck with beautiful view . This property had everything we were looking for in our visit.
The property is located at a convenient location for West Point activities. Wonderful views of the Hudson River. Visited NYC twice during our stay; easy drive (approximately 20 minutes) to Garrison train station. Friendly owners.
Very convenient location for visiting our son at West Point!

Charming house, fully equipped
House was a convenient and well-appointed venue for holiday visit with family in Ft. Montgomery. Heating system very good for cold weather. Trains sometimes a distraction, but not terrible. Kitchen needs much better lighting to realize its potential. Windowless bedroom is a problem that can and should be corrected. House was very clean and completely ready for our arrival.

Home away from home!
Very clean and comfortable home, close and convenient to West Point where we attended the Army vs Air Force Game. Breathtaking view of the Hudson River. Jerry and Barbara went the extra mile to call us and make sure everything was good with the house. Would definitely stay again!

Beautiful view of Hudson
The house was clean and large with two separate living/family rooms on either side of the house. There was plenty of space for the 6 of us to spread out. It has a beautiful view of the Hudson from all windows on the backside of the house. This was also a central location for all of our plans. We had a really nice stay that felt almost like home!
We did have a few things to note, with most only being minor. Something we felt needs to be addressed immediately is the smoke detectors. There were two located in the house but neither worked when the test button was pushed. They probably just need batteries. Also, we did not see a carbon monoxide detector. The house has a gas stove without a vent but it does have a lovely kitchen window that is easy to open for fresh air.
The water pressure is really low making it a long process to rinse long hair but there are 2 showers and we never had the hot water run out on us. The main bathroom needs a little curtain for better privacy. The upstairs bathroom does not have a door/curtain or a vent and the small window is painted shut. Just makes it awkward if someone (like quick little kids) come into the upstairs room while the bathrooms in use.
The locks were a little tricky at first but work fine once you know how to use them.
The garage was generously made available for use but there is not a door opener or keypad so someone has to close everything from the inside and go back out through the house. It was raining a couple days during our stay so it was nice that most of us could get inside the car while it was in the garage.
Email communication was slow from the owners at times before our arrival but we had everything we needed in plenty of time and had their phone number available in case it was needed.

Nice house close to West Point!
Nice house! Very clean. You cannot beat how convenient it is to West Point. The deck over looking the Hudson river was great....sat out there for our morning coffee as well as dinners. Owners great to work with. The only thing we would have liked to have was a mirror of some sort in the bedrooms as well as hooks to hang our wet bath towels.

We had such a nice time this weekend. Barbara was a pleasure to work with. View of river was amazing
Couldn't have asked for a better place. 5-10 minutes to West Point. Beautiful view of the Hudson to watch passing boats from the deck. The house was clean and everything worked. AC units kept us cool. Plenty of linens and fresh towels. Garage was handy. Neighborhood very friendly. 3rd bedroom may not be useable in the heat of the summer without AC unit but not many of those nights in northern NY.

Wonderful West Point Rental
We stayed here (with another couple) for a West Point class reunion in October 2016. The house is very clean, fully furnished and extremely close to West Point (five minute drive at most). Located in a quiet neighborhood overlooking the Hudson River (with a nice outside deck). We didn't spend much time at the house due to all the activities scheduled that weekend but the home has plenty of room to spread out and relax. It is a great place to stay for a West Point event (football game, graduation, reunion etc). I would recommend bringing your own soap, shampoo, kleenex, plastic cups, paper plates and laundry detergent. It does have a fully stocked kitchen but no dishwasher. We also brought coffee and paper towels and just left them for the next person. The owners were extremely helpful and generous. Would definitely stay here again!

About the host
Hosted by Jerry and Barbara Musarra
We are blessed to own this property and want to share it's unique beauty with others.
Why they chose this property
There is only so much water front property in the world. We have always enjoyed our vacations over the years, particularly where we could stay in a room "on the water". So when we had the opportunity to buy this home, we did. And have loved it ever since.
What makes this property unique
For cadet families visiting West Point for the myriad activities throughout the year, our home's very close proximity to the Academy is ideal. It reduces travel time by a huge amount---time that can be spent doing other things like eating, relaxing, or sipping on a glass of wine. Our home's location in the beautiful Hudson Highlands offers a wonderful weekend or week long getaway from the pressures and strains of modern living. Our deck overlooking the majestic Hudson River provides our guests a peaceful environment which offers total relaxation...from your first cup of coffee to start the day watching the sun rise; lunch at noon; afternoon tea or a glass of wine and snacks; grilled streaks at suppertime; and ending the day sipping wine under the stars. It's perfect! Every day on the Hudson River is unique. No two days are the same.
