Wonderful hosts, a cozy well designed bothy in a convenient location for exploring the beautiful and amazing area. We were able to see castles and Carin Gorms with the bothy's location.

A pleasure to host. Ideal guests, would recommend to any other rental establishments. And they're lovely people!
The Bothy was perfect for our fortnight in Scotland.
We played golf, walked, visited numerous castles and gardens, all in glorious weather! The area has so much to offer. Owners Rick and Kirsty were extremely helpful on all matters, also lots of information in the Bothy.
The Acorn Bothy is such a great cottage. The bed was very comfortable and the bothy was very clean and well equipped. Rick and Kirstie were very accommodating and such nice people. They went out of their way to help with any questions and provided lots of great information about the area. A perfect location to explore the coast or the highlands.

Suited us perfectly. Welcoming, helpful hosts. Very clean, quiet, warm and well equipped. Lovely countryside, beautiful walks and interesting prehistoric sites. Highly recommended.
Acorn Bothy was an excellent base from which to explore the countryside and heritage of the area around Alford. The property itself was modern, attractive and well-equipped making for a comfortable and relaxing stay. We received a warm reception from the property owners followed by a brief and helpful introduction to the cottage.
