Wonderful traditional country Spanish farm house. Surrounded by pine forest mountains with stunning views, beautiful sun sets and abundant wild life. Located in an extremely peaceful mountain top location but only a 10 minute walk to local traditional Spanish bars & restaurants.

5 bedrooms and double sofa bed to sleep 12 people, 3 bathrooms, large lounge, modern newly fitted kitchen with all appliances. Huge 100 square meter sun terrace with BBQ and traditional pizza oven and stairs down to the west facing 10 x 5 meter swimming pool with 2 hydro massage blowers integrated within the pool. The pool area also features a large pergola providing plenty of shade and a bar area that can easily sit 8 people. On the terrace is an original wood fired oven - perfect for culinary lovers who like making pizzas, bread or any meat of seafood dish cooked in the traditional way. Five large double bedrooms, all with double beds and one with extra double bunk beds. There is also a new double sofa bed for extra guests if required. All the necessary appliances - washing machine, cooker, 4 cooker hob, kettle, coffee machine etc. One bedroom and bathroom located on ground floor with stairs to the 1st floor and remaining bedrooms and bathrooms. Located in 2 acres of private land accessed by 1km gravel road. For anyone who loves the countryside this house is perfect with amazing forest walks, fantastic biking opportunities and many other outdoor sports such as climbing, running, canoeing, rafting, world class golf courses, fishing, horse riding and more. On top of this there are two Roman spas in nearby Archena and of course many wonderful restaurants in nearby Ricote & Blanca and of course wine tasting. This rural farmhouse is, rustic, authentic and charming. Stunning views with an excellent and a large very clean pool. We've been here every year for 5 years and just love it.

Perfect week of relaxation

My wife and I have had an excellent week. The property is in a perfect location with amazing views and is very comfortable. This is the third time staying here and I can not rate it highly enough. The owner was very helpful and generous- all the way through the booking process and during the stay, nothing was too much trouble.

Absolutely great, highly recommend.

Beautiful villa with lovely sunsets every night. The lovely swimming pool was still warm in October and the pool area is very spacious and private. The house is well equipped and was comfortable for our large group. Would recommend to anyone wanting a peaceful getaway in the country in a beautiful location.

Fantastic Location

What a fabulous location and villa! We had a lovely time and thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The villa is spacious with a large living area and comfortable bedrooms but the outside space is great. The views, particularly during sunset, from the terrace are spectacular. The villa is at the start of a great hiking route with even more views to enjoy. I would definitely recommend this villa.

Remote neglected villa

This villa could be wonderful but has got run down. A little bit of time and money needs to be spent on it and it could be gorgeous. The views are spectacular.

Stunning sunsets

Remote, peacefully tranquil with an excellently maintained pool. The views from the huge patio are exceptional. Take mountain walks straight from the front door or just relax for a while and listen to the countrysidw that surrounds you. Bar la Carmen, an authentic Spanish bar (1/2 mile to the road) is excellent but do try a little Spanish, they appreciate it. The host, Tim is easy to contact and Carlos is local should you need anything more. We've been 5 times!

Beautiful stay!!!

One of the most beautiful places we have ever stayed. The journey to Rocote itself was lovely, with some great terrain and scenery. The property was so peaceful with a beautiful pool and bar area. Tim was an excellent host and very accommodating. We went to a supermarket in Blanca (20 minutes), which had a massive fresh meat counter and nearly everything we needed. There was only a couple of things I couldn’t get for our little girl,so went to the big (SUPER BIG!) Carrefour at Murcia (50 minutes).

Villa is absolutely amazing, the location is breathtaking, so peaceful, (until we turned up) brilliant views. Very spacious bedrooms and bathrooms, great storage . Was worried that April would be too cold but heated pool meant we could still spend lots of time in the pool, had to drag the kids out or they would've stayed in until midnight. Some really good games in the house so was brilliant for us all, had an amazing time. Great communication with Tim, can not wait to go back, thank you

Summer Getaway

We had a fabulous time at the Villa . It is remote so don’t expect lots of entertainment on the door step so if your looking for pubs and clubs it’s not for you, we especially loved the pool which had awesome views of the mountains The rooms and Villa were ample for our group 2 adult couples and two teenagers . The mattress was firm but comfortable. No air con other than fans but the villa was cool enough at night for it not to matter and we had day temps of 35-40 Tim was easy to communicate with and we had no problems getting in or leaving . . We did a few day trip and stocked up on supermarkets with food and Vino. we will def come again . Wi-fi is limited so don’t expect to work away from home . That suited us though .as we all connected with time together Great summer getaway perfect weather comfortable villa with all you need.

Great place to stay for 2 families with kids

We had an amazing time at this beautiful villa. The views and sun sets are simply breath taking and we must have taken over a hundred photos! Direct from the house there are some lovely country mountain walks and great cycling around the windy roads. We did trip to bar del Carmen for a local Spanish experience which is a 10 minute stroll down the track. They don't speak much English but we're very friendly. About 35 minutes away is a fun water park and a decent golf course. The house had everything a family needs for a peaceful and relaxing stay away from it all. The pizza oven is great fun and there are two bbqs which we used most days. The owner told us he had recently refurbished the property and installed a brand new kitchen which certainly looked new. The bedrooms are simple and clean and the temperature inside the house is cool, even when we had 33 degrees outside. We spent most of the time in the swimming pool and bar area which everyone enjoyed. Have already re booked as we didn't want to leave. Thanks for a great stay!

Great house for big groups

Apart from the road to the home itself, we all were super happy! It was big enough for 14 adults, had enough space and a big big outdoor space with a great pool and possibilities to fine together. Cooking is a bit complicated with the kitchen‘s limited tools for such group sizes. We would wish for bigger pots and a dishwasher as it cost lots of time and water to wash per hand for so many people. Also we could not find a way to turn on all the outdoor lights but it was beautiful nonetheless!! The pool is in great shape and very refreshing, and gives you a great feeling to swim in the mountains. The outdoor area was our favorite area in all of the property, plenty of space and just fun overall. Grocery shopping is fine, you find everything you need in Ricote (15-20 minute drive) or in Cieza (35 minute drive) if you need more specific things. We would wish for locks in the bathroom doors though :) Last but not least: Tim is a great owner who responds very fast, is uncomplicated and friendly! We would love to come back another time in a year or two!

A beautiful, peaceful location.

We stayed at the villa in August 2023 for 2 weeks. There were two families staying- we had a fantastic time. The pool is amazing and the sunset is breathtaking. The villa is a good size and was big enough to accommodate 9 of us. The owner is always on hand when needed and responded to messages very quickly. We went during a very hot summer and it was uncomfortable at times in the villa, even though Tim brought another fan for us during our stay- more fans were needed. We did find the villa hard to find and the dirt track to the villa is very narrow and bumpy. We would have liked more instructions on how to work the pizza oven and possibly wood provided for this would have been appreciated. We visited Bar Carmen which is a 10 min walk and it was lovely, the staff were very friendly and helpful and the food was amazing! We enjoyed the mountain walks which are at the start of the villa. The local town of Blanca was beautiful and we enjoyed many days/evenings there, swimming in the river. Blanca has everything that you need. Overall we had a fantastic time and would recommend the villa to people who are wanting a peaceful holiday in a very remote area with a fantastic pool.

Nice property in low mountain and lovely place. The house is clean, functionnal and well located close to Blanca or Abaran for food shopping. Interesant situation with one hour and half from the house to Murcia, Alicante, Carthagena.

Little piece of heaven

We hebben een heerlijke week gehad in dit huisje. Wat een rust, vrijheid en ruimte. En met bijna 40 graden was het grote zwembad een verademing! Contact met de eigenaar was ook zeer goed , elk apje werd bijna meteen beantwoord. Kortom als je op zoek bent naar rust en ruimte en vooral het heerlijke gevoel van vrijheid zit je hier uitstekend!

Casa espectacular pero para mejorar en detalles

La casa tiene unas vistas increíbles, fuera de la casa hay una barbacoa pequeña muy gastada, un horno de leña sin puerta, el cañizo del techo del porche está en mal estado. Abajo tiene la piscina, en la página pone que hay jacuzzi, pero no es así.El interior de la casa tiene una chimenea que esta muy bien, la puerta principal no tiene resbalón con lo que tienes que tenerla o abierta o cerrada con la llave. La puerta de la cocina le pasa lo mismo ya que no cierra bien y se abre, de cubertería y utensilios de cocina faltaría alguna cosa, como cambiar alguna sartén, el horno de la cocina al abrir la puerta se desplaza hacia delante, hay que tener cuidado. Tiene un calentador muy pequeño para tanta persona a la hora de la ducha.Las habitaciones, alguna cama es demasiado dura y hay una con un ruido al moverte que hace que no puedas conciliar el sueño, esa misma habitación la puerta no tiene pomo y hay que cerrarla poniendo un papel. Abajo esta la quinta habitación, pero solo cama doble, no hay ninguna que sea cama doble y dos infantiles como pone en la página. También pone que hay calefacción, pero no existe como tal, son 3 estufas pequeñas. A los baños le falta la puerta de ducha. A pesar de todo ello, nos lo hemos pasado genial, pero creo que la casa bien se merece ese cuidado que le falta porque su entorno es privilegiado.Quiero destacar la labor de Carlos, la persona encargada de la casa, siempre muy atento y pendiente de todo lo que necesitabamos. Su trato ha sido de 10.

A big reason why we bought this farm house - it absolutely ticks all these boxes. Living in London can be hectic so this is the most perfect place to get away for truly relaxing break.

The pool has to be seen and the views whilst drinking a cold beer, wine or lemonade make this the most scenic and relaxing villa you could possibly imagine.
