About this property
CLOSE TO THE BEACH, BEAUTIFUL ESTATE, SOUTHERN HOSPITALITY
This home is part of a 7-acre secluded estate, just 15 minutes from Myrtle Beach. My husband and I live in the other house separated from yours by a courtyard and interior hallway. The sweeping oaks, covered in flowing grey moss, that line the driveway and surround the deck overlooking the Waccamaw River. The large two-story home colored in dark green mixes in with the riverside environment, all of this giving a combination of quiet and peacefulness as it overlooks this historic, scenic river. There are families of deer that make their home here so drive carefully in and out of our driveway. There are plenty of turkeys too that bed in the woods next door. Plenty of privacy and quiet - yet just minutes from the Grand Strand-Myrtle Beach and other beachfront communities. Sorry, but we absolutely cannot accommodate more than 8 guests! OUR NEWLY DESIGNED POOL PATIO OVERLOOKING THE RIVER IS A GREAT SCENE FOR A WEDDING! This home features a roomy two-car garage with a washer/dryer combo to help keep up with everyday laundry. Most folks enter through the garage for an easy unload into a hallway with several supply closets, some filled with towels and linens. Into the dining room and kitchen that features a major remodel for all of our 2021 guests. The appliances are stainless steel and there are hardwood floors. From there you get an impressive view of the pool, deck, tables, and chairs with pool floats gathered for your convenience. The rest of the quiet home is covered in plush, white carpet. Into a spacious living room with a marble fireplace and leather couches and chairs, positioned to watch the large-screen tv. There are also two electric recliners. A charming half bath is near the front door. The living room and kitchen opens into the Carolina Room, featuring a double daybed, a bar, a couch, and a sofa table with lots of board games inside. As you pass through the living room into a hallway with shelves of books and trinkets that opens into a large master bedroom. Beyond there you see a private room of cypress with your personal hot tub and the room has its own heat/air unit. Best to keep the temperature in the room fairly warm so you are not cold when you get out of the hot tub. This room has an exit to the pool and deck. As you look to the left from the master bedroom, there's a large walk-in closet; to the right of that you see an oversized master bathroom that has also just been remodeled. There's a large shower with a bench and a tub that acts as a jacuzzi as well. Near the front entrance, you will see the steps to the second floor. The bedroom on the left has a great view of the pool, deck, and the Waccamaw River. There's a tv there as well. The view of the river is even better from the screened porch directly off of this bedroom. Across the hall is another large bathroom with a tub/shower combination and a much larger walk-in closet. Just down the hall is another bedroom with its own tv that opens onto the same screened-in porch. River Bluff Estate is excited to announce our stepped-up process for sanitizing our property. We use a commercial fogger and Hydrolyte Excelyte Sars Cov 2, which is an EPA-approved disinfectant. (EPA Registration No. for Sars-Cov-2 Human Coronavirus Disinfectant 92108-1) You can relish the best of both worlds here. Enjoy the plush home nestled in a natural, serene setting, and have fun at the beach with shopping, dining, and local attractions just a short car ride away! Sorry, no pets allowed.

About the host
Hosted by Karole Jensen, Owner
I founded a non-profit organization in the 1970's to help abused/neglected and missing children. In 1993 I added Angel Flight - air transportation for sick and terminally ill children. I have been a pilot with my own aircraft since the early 1980's. I own and manage rental properties. I love to travel. My husband is a trial lawyer. Our offices are in Myrtle Beach, SC.
Why they chose this property
This is a magnificent property. It is a large duplex - approximately 4,000 sq ft on each side. It is just the two of us and our granddaughter that live in one side. The West Wing has been donated for the use of families of missing children (while they were here searching for their own children/grandchildren). We have had family in and some parties here. However, we have not really used this beautiful home and shared it like it should be shared. We love for families to come here and enjoy all that it has to offer. It is a spectacular property and we are proud to live here.
What makes this property unique
Only 5+ miles from Myrtle Beach, the home is on a seven-acre estate located directly on the unique, black, Waccamaw River. It is very upscale with custom decor. The carpet is very white and very plush, and there are rugs placed throughout. There is a beautiful marble fireplace, a jacuzzi, and an entire room for the hot tub which overlooks the Waccamaw River. There is no danger of flood here since we are 70' above the River. The view is very much like being in the mountains. The estate is one of the highest sections in this County that's on the Waccamaw River. There is a saltwater pool and a dock. The estate is very quiet and peaceful.
