5 Bedroom - Beautiful Century Home Minutes from Downtown & Lake

Our 5 bedroom, 100+ year old home is modern, but retains lovely woodwork, details and original pocket doors. 3000+ sq ft. Double-staircase leads to 4 bedrooms on the second floor, and master suite on 3rd floor. Located in trendy Ohio City, 2 miles from downtown and 1.5 miles from the beach (Lake Erie).

First floor features a living room with stained glass window, formal dining room with fireplace and chandelier, a parlor, family room with 50" TV (includes Netflix/Hulu/Amazon), gourmet kitchen and 1/2 bath. Eat-in diner-style counter with movable island that also opens up for additional eat-in space. Back porch, off kitchen, has an iron wrought dining table for four.

Queen size beds in large 4 bedrooms on the second floor. One bedroom (w/queen size bed) is a dedicated guest room with adult furnishings. The other two bedrooms also queen size beds) is our daughters’. Fourth bedroom is an office and has a trundle daybed (basically 2 twin-size beds). Double sink in 2nd floor bathroom. King-size bed, and 1 twin size daybed, in master with en suite includes a large jacuzzi and stone-tiled shower stall.

Long driveway accommodates several cars. Large backyard features pergola with stone patio and seating, and a firepit. Large front porch swing includes seating and swing for neighbor watching.

Washer/Dryer in the semi-finished basement.
Treadmill and Spin bike with TV and yoga "studio" is in the basement.

We had a wonderful stay. This is a large and amazing historical home, with lots of interesting books, artwork, games, etc. Not only is the indoor space great for large groups (our family was there for our daughter's wedding), but there are front and back porches, a yard, and a driveway for several cars. This is not your cookie-cutter, sterile rental - someone has opened their lovely home to you!Friendly neighborhood, walkable to shops and cafes. Thank you, Norma!

This house is amazing, we loved having the secluded fenced in backyard and spent the whole weekend jumping on the trampoline and playing in the pool as if we were 10 again, the pool was an AWESOME bonus because this weekend was so hot, the house is HUGE, everyone was able to have their own space and everything was very clean, the homeowner is GREAT, communicated back quickly with any questions we had! WE LOVED IT! 10/10 REVIEW!

When we first walked in we said, "Wow!" We knew it was the perfect house for our family reunion. We stayed two weeks and remained convinced that there could be no better house for us. We were a group of thirteen people, four generations, from three different countries. This property provided everything we needed to be comfortable, to get to know each other, and to have a good time.We did a lot of cooking and found that the kitchen had every appliance, pot, dish, utensil needed and space for several cooks. The room arrangements encouraged visiting in large or small groups and with wonderful summer weather the porches and fire pit seating added to choices of where to eat, play, and visit. The host seemed genuinely committed to ensuring that we enjoy our stay. Norma was wonderful answering every question immediately. She could not have been more helpful. Everything promised in house description was available but more generous than we expected… more space, more dishes, more linens, more games, and more charm to the home than we had anticipated.

This is the one!!

Easy check in and out!! Beautiful home… Wonderful Vibes!! Beautifully decorated with bright colors and things to see all around! We felt like we were at home but on vacation. A place where grandparents have just as much fun as the kids!! Norma is the best host ever! She made suggestions for local things to do as well as just making sure we were ok!! Do yourself a favor and experience this lovely home!

A great stay in Cleveland!

Four of us were in Cleveland for a triathlon. The house was not only a beautifully restored treasure of the City’s past but conveniently located near the waterfront race venue. I highly recommend this HomeAway ... beautiful house, very clean and comfortable ... and best of all wonderful, helpful owners. We leave with great memories of our stay in Cleveland.

We're Chicago transplants, but huge fans of Cleveland. We've made a lovely life in this wonderful neighborhood. We like walking to the West Side Market, Mason's Creamery, or biking to Edgewater Beach.

We really love our home and are happy to share it with visitors so they too can fall in love with Cleveland.

This is a great house with lots of room. Living room, family room, dining room and the basement with a living area gives space to stretch out. Or work out on the treadmill or just run out the door to downtown or the Beach. This is our home so we ask that you be very considerate and respectful of our property.

What makes this property unique

This house dates to the 1890s and retains much of the historic charm. Wood frame trim on the doors and windows, spindles on the double-staircases, shiny wood floors and pocket doors all add to the charm. Our large home accommodates multiple family members, perfect for intergenerational family reunions.
