House with garden in the Gulf of Orosei, perfect for 2 couples
Tourist rental of a typical Sardinian home in Onifai, in a strategic position to reach the splendid beaches of the Gulf of Orosei, where sea and mountains meet to amaze man with their extraordinary beauty. The house is located in a quiet and private setting, between the scent of rosemary and lemons, for lovers of relaxation. The house, a typical Sardinian construction: the rooms all face the internal courtyard, in a quiet and reserved context. Indoor and outdoor parking in private driveway. The house is ideal for two couples who want to spend their holidays together but who can each enjoy their own privacy; in addition to the bedroom, each couple will have a bathroom with shower and hairdryer, air conditioning, kitchen, fridge with freezer, microwave, toaster and kettle. Iron and ironing board, clothesline. Shared laundry and outdoor shower. The house is equipped with mosquito nets on the windows. In the center of the village of Onifai, a stone's throw from the house, there are: grocery store, post office, pharmacy, bar, pizzeria, newsagent and tobacconist.
For travel, the use of a car or motorbike is recommended.
The accommodation is strategically located with respect to the most famous beaches of the Gulf of Orosei, easily reachable by car or by sea. We recommend a tour of the gulf with an inflatable boat, starting from Orosei or Cala Gonone. For those who love hiking or climbing, a visit to the canyon of Gorroppu or the mountains of Dorgali and Oliena cannot be missed. To visit also the famous caves of Ispinigoli (by land) and the cave of Fico and Bue Marino (guided tours by sea). The territory is rich in nuragic sites (note the nuragic village of Serra Orrios, the tomb of the giants S'ena de Thomas and the sacred well of Osana). A visit to the nearby village of Galtellì and its Literary Park dedicated to Grazia Deledda, the Nobel prize-winning writer who set the book "Canne al Vento" right here, cannot be missed.
The area of the Gulf of Orosei is among the most unspoiled in the Sardinian territory. The village of Onifai is peaceful and very pretty, far from the summer crowd. There are all the essential services (food, pharmacy, post office, newsagent, tobacconist ...). The town of Onifai develops on the sides of a hill, in a central position with respect to the most famous beaches of the Gulf of Orosei (Biderrosa, Berchida, Cala Liberotto, Cala Ginepro, Cartoe, Cala Gonone), but also less famous but equally beautiful as those of Su Barone (convenient because of the pine forest accessible by car, where you can stop for a pic nick under the trees) or Osala, easily reachable by car. Alternatively you can visit the coves of the Dorgali territory such as Cartoe, Cala Luna, Cala Mariolu, Cala Sisine, Cala Goloritzé, by sea. There are at least three possibilities: the boat tour, the rental of the boat with driver or driver. From personal experience, the boat trip with driver is the one that allows you to enjoy the tour of the Gulf coves.
If you are interested in excursions, there is no shortage of possibilities: I recommend a visit to the Gorroppu Canyon and a visit to the Nuragic village of Tiscali. Another possibility is the guided trekking to Cala Luna beach (where the Wertmüller film "Overwhelmed by an unusual destiny in the blue August sea" was filmed), starting from Cala Gonone.
Also worth visiting are the caves of the Bue Marino, the Grotta del Fico (by sea) and the Grotta di Ispinigoli (in the territory of Dorgali, 20 minutes from Onifai).
A less strenuous alternative to excursions is Mount Nellevista, with a visit to Sa preta Istampata and the belvedere del Cristo, both easily accessible by car (and a small walk on foot). It is also worth visiting the nearby Borgo di Galtellì with the literary park dedicated to the writer Grazia Deledda. Orosei is also full of characteristic places and suggestive views. To the north it is worth visiting the characteristic village of Posada. Going further into the hinterland you can visit the villages of Orgosolo, famous for its murals, or Mamoiada known for the characteristic masks of its carnival, to see the Museum of Mediterranean Masks.
For archeology enthusiasts, near us there are the nuragic village of Serra Orrios, the tomb of the giants of S'ena and Thomes and the sacred well of Osana.
To eat: In the center of the village there is an excellent pizzeria, and in the area there are various restaurants, pizzerias or farmhouses that prepare typical land and sea menus with a good quality / price ratio.
Our prices include all fees. No hidden fees.
