Excellent condition for our needs , very clean Fully equipped Kitchen and bathrooms Hot water was on point , plenty of lights Great location for a getaway in the mountains in the western part of the state Great communication with John very knowledgeable about the area with helpful information.
We love this cabin! It is very close to our family and not far from Meadows of Dan. It is always the first cabin we check for availability when coming to the area. We will be back soon!

Cozy cabin with many nice conveniences, ease of access and responsive hosts to questions.
Very responsive owners to our questions, very hot water and warm & cozy atmosphere on a freezing wknd! Close to many hikes and good music, I would come back again!
Loved it. The only thing was it was alittle challenging on the outside steps. My mother has balance issues, so maybe a railing to grab ahold of. It was so beautiful, quiet, serene. Thus us the most well sticked cabin I have experienced. Thankyou, We will be back.
We have stayed here twice. Like it so much we have already rented it for next year. It has always been clean. The beds are comfortable. The host is great. It's stocked with necessities you might firget ti pack. If you want peace and quiet, this is the place!

Love & Best,
Johnny
The cabin was very nice and comfortable. Kitchen well equipped. Communication with the owner was quick and responsive. Close to parkway access. Unfortunately the weather did not cooperate. Downfall to the property, the driveway is long and somewhat narrow for large truck and motorcycle trailer, difficult to maneuver. 4.5 stars overall. Thanks John.
John is an excellent host. Communication A+! The home had everything we needed. The king bed downstairs is extremely comfortable! Perfect for visiting that section of the Blue Ridge Parkway and Floyd, VA!

Right off Blue Ridge Parkway, no housekeeping
Fabulous location, no charge for housekeeping but, found bed not made, bathroom not cleaned, and trash can full in kitchen. Washer n dryer work so you can tidy up yourself.

We provide thorough housekeeping. Unfortunately, the guests showed up one day prior to their scheduled reservation and housekeeping had not been scheduled for that day. We are truly sorry the guests did not get to enjoy a typical inviting stay at Fox Trot Cabin.

I loved the home so much we had decided to stay here again. This time upon arrival the home reeked of mold so bad we had to open all windows and doors with fans to try to clear the smell. It was late when we arrived and I didn’t have any cell service to contact the owner. Upon going into the bathroom the shower Matt was dirty and stained. I picked it up and there was dirt and hair underneath. A Used bar of soap to use.The next day I contacted the owner via Vrbo and got no response. I called the telephone number and reached him. He said there was nothing he could do. I would have to clean it myself but assured me all of the cleaning supplies were there. Because of the mold my allergies were awful so we stayed gone long as possible. I went to go clean the shower. There were no gloves, no sponges or cleaning rags. The only thing available was the wash cloths. We scrapped that idea and all took turns taking a bird bath in the kitchen sink. The rest of the house was clean except the kitchen wash cloth left to use was dirty. Unfortunately, as lovely as this cabin was with a mold allergy I could never stay here again. We had the windows open and fans on the entire time and the mold could still be smelled when entering the home.

There’s a lot of folks who have stayed here both before you and after you. Hundreds of hundreds, in fact. Nobody else ever complains about mold. I myself stay here from time to time and I’m also sensitive to mold. What you said about mold in the cabin was a massive exaggeration and i'm really disappointed about this review. I’m sorry you stayed after a particularly rainy period. All the best to you.
We loved everything about our stay. It was so relaxing. Very clean and maintained inside and out. We love the the flowers and the trees. Not sure what the orange and yellow trees are, but they are beautiful Enjoyed sitting on the deck drinking coffee and at night just hanging out talking. Thank you so much for letting us experience this at your place.🥰
The cabin is wonderful and the host could not possibly be any kinder or more helpful. Communication was unparalleled and quick. This is a gem!Great, peaceful mountain-like setting. Only downside (not for me but perhaps for others) people with large vehicles should not pull all the way to the house. My Traverse was edge to edge on part of the drive. But worth it!
Cabin was very clean and well stocked. It was very secluded and peaceful, great for a nice getaway. Driveway was a little tight for a truck but a car should not have any trouble.

This is an older well lived in cottage surrounded by mountain vegetation. It was very welcoming and fully stocked. It has an eclectic vibe. Very convenient access to the Blue Ridge Parkway. If you're Ritz Carlton this is not the property for you. I'm a Birkenstocks kind of girl, so worked out great for me!
